  1. I can't find it anywhere, but I remember a mockumentary video that showed Madonna in the distant future as an elderly shut-in recluse with ferrets named after Guy Ritchie and Sean Penn. Does anyone have any idea what I am talking about or have a link? Google / YouTube aren't finding what I'm searching for. I have found it before by chance, but I've been searching all night to where Google is trying to flag me for too many consecutive searches because it thinks I'm a computer, not a person.

  2. wasn't "liquid love" in the same category of "better known unreleased tracks we should have" since she went so far as to have mentioned it in interview and why it gave her the wrong kind of chills? i swear that came out like 5 or 6 years later than the music album it was considered for... but yeah, die another day was not terribly long after the music album...

  3. personally, i rather like the esmee denter's "bigger than the world" and would love to see the madonna version, unless she uses the revolver-style crow voice.

i'm also failing to see what the big deals are about demos of songs that are released in some form... especially devil. the only one i think was better in earlier cuts was history, and that was because the best part of the song got cut from the final version.

is it just that people hate the production on devil and other songs that have "early" versions? i like the final demo for across the sky (except for that constant sound in the background) better than the more-unfinished demo, but i like give it to me MUCH more than infinity...

though i'd love to know if flirtation dance was really different than the album cut "skin" on ROL.

  4. i'm not sure i understand where some of the info on wiki gets created from... "light up" and a 'final' version of superpop entitled "reach the top" made in 2009? are these based in reality? i totally thought superpop was a throwaway track and was given as a fan track for confessions because it served no other purpose and probably wasn't even "vault" good.

  5. 1) i REALLY don't understand the hate for "push," it might be one of my faves... can someone explain their reasoning for why they hate it? just curious, really.

    2) why "devil wouldn't recognize you" (album version) was there a demo? i didn't hear one... heard is this love? which "became" part of voices, was something similar for devil?

    3) crystal coffin, who is that guy in the signature? you always have rather attractive ones there, but that one's pretty exceptionally so. i don't follow sports.

  6. i just made a CD with this in the tracklist after voices, which is funny since both get the "distortion" complaint... but i like that it seems as kind of a "happy" coda on top of the "divorce CD" as some people said it was (i don't see it beyond like three songs) because it leaves optimism after the sadness of devil and voices... might tack on revolver for fun lol

  7. True.

But I still wish that someone could remaster the leaked version in order to minimize the distorted bass and bring the lead vocal forward just a little more (just as someone did for "Revolver").

does anyone have that revolver "fixed" one? i don't have access to the multimedia section yet :(

  8. What the hell are you talking about? Really? Her face looks great. She looks like...Guess who? Madonna! Crazy, huh?!

It isn't about being holier than thou...It's just that you are fucking weird because you can't get over some minor surgical enhancements. When she grows an extra nose or starts to look like Joanne, feel free to go off with your bullshit.

This was for charity and it makes me proud to know that Madonna was a part of it. When I first saw the performance during the live stream, I thought it was just okay...Almost good.

When I listened to the mp3 really loud over the speakers in my gym, I was in awe of how this woman manages, with her relatively limited vocal range, to sound strong and fragile all at once.

Sometimes, her performances can seem subpar in the moment, but take on a whole other dimension with time. This was the case with Take A Bow at the AMA's in my humble opinion. I feel that this is another of those performances.

    amen  well said...

  9. Because some people are never happy unless they bitch and moan or attack other members who love to appreciate and not over analyze every fuckin' thing to death. It's ridiculous. This is about a tragedy of a small country, not a stupid contest in how great her vocals were versus other artists or previous performances.

agreed, i'm right there with you. as i noted... it's not even like she had a bunch of time to prepare like a tour or was going to be a ham like aguilera and use it for promo of a new song... it was a heartfelt attempt by her to do something for someone other than malawi...

  10. After reading some of these comments from you guys i'm now glad I rarely come to the Madonna discussion section

yeah, honestly, i felt the same way! some of these catty comments from gay males... as an aside, it makes me wonder if the USA will ever have a state where VOTERS, not courts, choose to allow gay marriage (off topic, but seems like after just the wrong or inappropriate things some people said it's like no wonder people don't like us...)

and people complaining about little things about her face or slight voice issues, lord this wasn't like her tour where she had months of prep time and lots of time to fine tune stuff where vocal flaws are truly not what you pay for... sorry to rant, not like people generally comment on stuff like that anyhow but i was disheartened to see some of the jokes (celebration at this telethon, REALLY was that funny in your head or out loud?) and the nastiness.

  11. I dig it. Don't know if I'll love it in the long run, but it has potential. And I'm fine with the distortion in the mixing, as I was with the distortion in "Voices."

Having said that, I also wouldn't mind an unofficial release of some version of "Hard Candy" with all the Timbaland/Pharrell bits stripped away with some proper production. These boys make her sound more gimmicky than Mirwais ever did.

like the beatles' "let it be... naked" album? that'd be kind of nifty, though i love the timbaland production over the pharell messes like incredible and spanish lesson... personally, i REALLY REALLY want to know if she really did record the song "bigger than the world" or if it was just presented to her by timberlake in the funny demo he sings ("i know i'm just a girl" makes me smile) and she never actually sang it.

  12. my wish list for interview questions:

    1. what songs almost made the final cut on celebration and which songs didn't?

    2. does she feel her mtv's have become less iconic (i.e. crappy) in the last few years?

    3. how does she feel about declining radio play in the states as opposed to the rest of the world?

    4. the reinvention and blonde ambition tour releases!!!

    5. will the american life video ever get a release?

    6. how she came to write and sing celebration and revolver for this new album

    1. did she really have much to do at all with that? i mean she went on one interview saying the DVD has ALL her videos and she didn't seem to talk much about selection... i don't know but if i had to guess i'd say it was all management with the help of twitter or whatever other avenue that let them omit ballads and add miles away as "34 songs that changed the world."

    2. i myself wonder if she'll ever do a video like ROL or LAP again... conflicting things that I hear all the time are videos are dead / who plays videos / no money in them thanks to youtube / videos can make or break a song

    3. it'd be funny if she even notices airplay... i looked at the billboard #1's, it's so sad music is the last time she was at the top of the top. anything since then (die another day? hung up? 4 minutes) breach billboard top 10?

    4. maybe it's cause i didn't become a fan until after ROL and really go back to only the BS era, but is it like every other tour BUT those two got released or something? both of those seem to be so desired around here...

    5. would be nice to see that video... but i suppose that the less that's said about the soy latte rap song the better (for the mainstream)

    6. ok, since when did she write revolver? lol i'm still wondering how she got any credit whatsoever for that song... how it was sent to her / she picked it might be nice to hear of though

  13. with the one sixteenth of a cent per DVD pressing they saved putting the Celebration DVD on single layer discs Warner was able to aquire the cash needed to make Madonna an offer for 37 dollars to produce a video for Revolver. Madonna would have to match that for a budget total of 74 dollars. Not to mention the flyers, and staples. And Warner would even consider sending copies of the song to between 5 to 10 US radio stations. Madonna and Guy are crazy to refuse this offer.

and the flyers are printed on what was once the back of old flyers for things like "hard candy" or the paris hilton album warner put out lol
