  1. Wow....I've just come across from the other album thread and as people have mentioned in there, the negativity in this thread is incredible!! It doesn't matter who Madonna works with, she's ripped apart! Why can't the woman just collaborate with whomever she pleases?

Exactly! People make up all these "rules" and guidelines of who is and isn't acceptable to work with and what sound she should take on. When she doesn't "abide", they fall apart.......without even hearing anything. You can't get mad when Madonna doesn't make the album YOU envision.

Just take the news for what it is, calm the fuck down and wait untill you hear what this collaboration leads to! THEN you can judge and comment and rip it to shreds if you want. At the moment, we know practically nothing, so hold your freakin horses!!!!

    YES.

It doesn't matter if she works with less known people or already successful artists/musicians, some people needs to complain every single time. MY GOD.

Madonna knows it better, or she would have disappeared a long long time ago.

  2. Really? Madonna's still working on her next album. Wait till it comes out. Yeah Madonna did a silly duet with Miley that's pretty much been forgotten by most. At this stage in her career, Madonna has earned the right to do whatever the fuck she wants. You either like it, or you don't.

Wow, you are so full of hope and optimism.

Seriously, don't jump the gun. You may be very pleasantly surprised.

  3. I'd like midtempo and short! That way you could have something for the radio and then do longer more intense club remixes of it. A midtempo song is more flexible. And it's been awhile since she's had a great midtempo song. It would be different and fresh. People tend to associate Madonna with either dance tracks or ballads so a midtempo jam would be something fresh and different.

    I agree :)

But i would really like a midtempo during the summer (maybe as an Itunes promo single just to build hype for the album), then a KILLER uptempo with some high profile performances for the lead single. Then she could release a ballad, i think people would welcome a GREAT Madonna ballad as a single. :)

  4. In 1995, Madonna spoke of the Letterman experience with Spin magazine:

Do you regret doing that David Letterman Interview?

I regretted it right afterward because of the reaction. I couldn’t believe how freaked out people were. But then, in retrospect, I was so glad I did it. That’s how I feel about a lot of things. You know, I do it and then everybody freaks out and then I start feeling bad about what I did, then I get some space and distance, and I go, no, that was the right thing to do. It’s hard to feel good about the choices you make when an entire nation is beating up on you. I mean I can’t tell you how intimidating it all is, and how, if you’re not an incredibly resilient human being, it can crush you, no question about it.

The whole thing about going on TV and saying "fuck" was just ridiculous You can show a person getting blown up, and you can’t say "fuck?" It’s such hypocrisy. The fact that everyone counted how many fuck’s I said — how small-minded is that?

People were really worked up about it.

A word. A word. It’s just a word. And it doesn’t even mean what it used to mean! It’s become a part of our daily life, it means like a zillion things.

The other thing that was ridiculous was that David Letterman knew I was going to do it. I talked to the producers of the show. Everybody was like, this will be really funny if you say "fuck" a lot and they’ll just keep bleeping you. Well, I came out and started doing it, and David freaked out.

The way he introduced me was derogatory, so my whole thing was, okay, if that’s how you want to play it, you cannot beat me at this game.
