Saw also that Dick Tracey was on cable over the weekend!
Who knows maybe M will star again in films?
-
Love this track so much partly because it was so much more experimental and raw than most of Madonna's previous work from the eighties. She started alienating more of the mainstream teeny bopper audience who helped her became a legendary pop artist!
-
Especially love how the album ended with two new awesome tracks at the time!
The inner album's writing and photos were obviously fantastic too.
-
Not getting how Confessions is overall Madonna's "gayest" album even with the imagery and electronic dance sound.
Feel that GGW song and video can be described as pretty campy and "gay".
-
Never saw this before.
It's actually pretty cool to see!
-
Perfect way to end an incredible album.
-
BU is one of my all time favorite Madonna eighties tracks, but agree borderline is a great pop song and video too!
Critics seemed to always praise borderline and comment how it showed M early music did contain depth.
-
Wow the views on BIM beat all other M videos by far even though GMAYL has noticeably a lot too.
-
Feels like such a short US leg of the tour, but she's coming back in January anyway.
Have FUN and ENJOY whoever attends!
-
There was a time when "hip" types in media actually saw Madonna more of a progressive artist as opposed to bland top 40 schtick. She got added hipster points and the cool factor during albums, such as, ROL, Music, Confessions, etc.
-
Never heard this fantastic ballad until had the chance to hear the live version on WTG DVD. For mw personally, it's the highlight vocally of the tour!
-
That's definitely a good deal. Use to own a very large vinyl collection until had to sell part of it for financial reasons. Mostly brought online, but very lucky there still are some great record shops in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and supposedly Jersey too.
-
Like others have already said, in the last fifteen years there have been a few US radio hits, but nothing like the eighties and nineties.
When I've been bar hopping during the last two months, I heard so many M songs at gay places in NY, even songs off RH.
-
They were both awful, but I stopped reading or listening to any overly harsh criticism of M after the dopey kiss. I was no longer able to tolerate all the ignorant and hateful comments directed toward her from the media and online trolls.

Use to regularly work out to Madonna's official dance remixes of her singles, especially remixed favorites from AL, Confessions, HC, etc..
-
Love that it was all filmed on the forgotten borough of staten island which people seem to forget exists.
-
Absolutely agree!
Warners should have released limited edition three CDs of Celebration with many of the hits missing or even remastered all her singles and released them digitally at the time.
-
The music still reminds a bit of Depeche Mode in a very good way.
Remember also it sounded great live at msg.
-
ROL- looks especially great on vinyl!
Confessions
Music
True Blue
Like A Virgin

Someone can probably earn some extra $$$ if some of M most popular albums were remastered on limited edition gatefold vinyl with bonus material on a second vinyl disc.
-
Music- Probably because it's one of my favorite albums ever. The fascinating and unique combination of electronica, acoustic guitar, and M voice is heavenly.
MDNA- Even though there are some significant flaws, really enjoy the diversity and different moods of tracks. The album is extremely catchy.
Rebel Heart- Because it's the newest and incredibly creative and strong.
-
Two of my favorite bands (Duran Duran and Depeche Mode) have released amazing reissues of their older albums which included a lot of bonus tracks and videos of their TV performances.
Just really disappointed and frustrated with M legendary status, she has never reissued any of her eighties and nineties albums after True Blue. Would love to somehow have her promo and performances from a particular era added on as a bonus with a reissue.
So many less popular artists do it and it's not an issue and makes some fans very happy!
How do you feel about CELEBRATION

Really grown to enjoy listening to most of Celebration even though the sequencing of tracks are somewhat of a problem like MDNA.
The artwork is fantastic and including the hits, such as, Everybody, BU, and WTG made some fans extremely HAPPY!
