Please don't give this dimwitted jealous witch the oxygen she needs. There is a reason we kicked her out of the XFactor UK. She belongs in the gutter with that PM worm.

It's the worst moment in her career ever for me. Even with the media sympathy, I wish it hadn't happened.
1. Brits 2015 fall
2. Horse riding accident
3. GHV2
4. GMAYL reaching no. 37 in the UK
5. SEX backlash
6. Post AL career nosedive in the US
7. When it came out she'd fucked Dennis Rodman. Where are the standards, M?
8. 1988, the most barren year ever
9. MDNA UK sales. Still can't believe it
10.Leak-gate.

She got a reaction from Nancy Sinatra??? WOW AMAZING :wow:
And Darren Hayes is stanning HARD as usual, i love him
We need Darren to do a nude shoot.

I don't idolise anyone, not even Madonna. It's always obvious to me that she's human.
But her music and artistry are extremely important to me as they've helped me when I've been at low points in my life.
And I've grown to admire her chutzpah and integrity, while being embarrassed by some of the things she's done.
This incident was a shock just because of how potentially fatal it looked and I don't know how I'd manage without looking forward to her music in my life. And also the fact that I know she gives 100% as an artist always so I feel her pain that it didn't go as planned.
-
Sadly, I'm not surprised. He doesn't even know the album leaked.
LMAO!

My reactions, in order, were:
1. OMG no! Is she OK, please get up
2. Thank fuck, she could have died (horrible feeling in my stomach with flashback to MJs death)
3. Ok she's recovering well (huge sigh)
4. Very sad for her that her vision was downgraded by this mishap. A single blemish on a very long live career
5. wow her voice and dancing is healing my pain right now, and that final knowing smile is such an antidote
6. Shit, the Daily Express and Mail are gonna tear her a new asshole and go on about her age again
7.This is gonna be trending big time on Twitter and she will be torn to shreds
8. Hmmmm, maybe all the attention will be good NTP
9. Hope she gets checked by a doctor
10.Hope all the other artists don't diss her for this
11.This attention may be enough to get her to #1
12.cant wait to see what Madonna Nation forums are saying

She wasn't "violently yanked backwards off a platform".
Get a grip.
How many times do we have to repeat her own words? The cape was on too tight. Clearly she thought she had undone it but it wasn't undone. The dancers were just doing their part of the choreography thinking she had undone the cape. As a result, she fell. But got right back up and carried on with the song and gave a killer performance.
Fuck's sake some people here!!
Sorry you're wrong, watch it again. Yes it was on tight but yes she got yanked violently down the stairs backwards. Wardrobe malfunction. Still very proud of her for getting up. I've had falls as bad as that on snowboards and I usually lay there for quite a while.

These are the only songs of M I would just skip:
One More Chance
Superstar
Hey You (just coz of the lyrics only)
Dance tonight
Voices
Fighting Spirit
It's So Cool
I'm A Sinner
Sometimes I would skip:
Turn Up The Radio (crow voice, bad lyrics)
Where Life Begins (unnecessarily vulgar)
Song I'm surprised I don't skip :
Jimmy Jimmy (I know it's not great but somehow it fits into the concept of the album)

Ladies and gentlemen, the original monsters...Madonna fans.
Why can't madonna fans hear a clear critique?!!!
Because the likes of Mojo give 5 stars for virtually every rock or indie album whether it's shit or not, especially if it's a white male playing a guitar. It wouldn't kill them to give her 5 star just once in her 30 year career.

Love reading these posts as well!
Out of curriosity, back in the 80s,how were Janet and Whitney fans to each torwards M fans? Was it anything similar or even in comparison to how annoying and childish its been with Mariah, Britney and Gaga fans?
In the UK, Janet wasn't on the radar. More in the US. Whitney, yes, but completely different artist so they weren't really compared. The main comparisons were MJ and Prince. But she was basically peerless from 1985-1987, just totally unrivalled. Her absence in 1988 allowed our charts to go from the sublime to the ridiculous with the arrival of SAW artists and in particular Kylie Minogue. Ashamed to say it but Kylie was the only female artist who usurped M for a while albeit briefly. Her innocence seemed to be an alternative to the heavy stuff M was peddling at the time.

Fan probably since 85/86 when I was little. I remember everyone loving Material Girl because of the striking video. But after that I only recall disliking her as she was suddenly all over the charts like a rash and looking nothing like the Material Girl anymore. She became a bit too trendy (back then I always did the opposite to everyone else just to be different) for me. Then slowly I started to get won back. Dress You Up started the process I think but it wasn't until Live To a Tell that I thought "what the fuck, this woman is so difficult to pin down musically...and she's beautiful. But the point where I fell in love with her fully was True Blue. The first time I heard that song in my Dad's car I was bowled over. The trendy streetwise youth had turned into a matinee idol and I was in love. The video only made me love her more. From thereon in every single release was a world event and reported as such.
I'll write mire about what came after in another post.

I think it's a very interesting topic, and the fact that everyone has an opinion about her makes her one of the most important public figures of our times.
I think there are several reasons why she is hated by a loud minority.
1. She doesn't show her weaknesses. People (I.e. The Press) hate those who appear too strong, there is an envy/jealousy/insecurity that many people feel when they see how strong and driving she is. They want to see a chink in the armour and she won't play ball. If only the fools new that her vulnerability was in her music if you look carefully
2. She is ever present in the Press. No other artist has lasted this long so continuously in the public eye and it exhausts some people (certain sections of the public)
3. She has an opinion without having a conventional education. Some people (e.g. Guardian readers) feel that mere pop singers have no right to an opinion especially female ones who show their tits a lot
4. Certain women. Mostly women who feel that she raises the bar too high for them, so they denigrate her to make themselves feel better
5. People who want to appear cool. Because Madonna still makes big tune pop music/chart music rather than disappearing into alt indie obscurity, this does not pass as cool in peer group conversations. You therefore have to say you hate her to appear cool. Some bitchy gays even do this.
6. Religious groups/conservative types. Obvious reasons.
There are many more reasons, but these I think are the biggies
-
Why The Guardian is always after Madonna ? The Telegraph i understand since it's a conservative paper but The Guardian is supposedly a progressive newspaper and they hate with a passion. The LFL review is not a review, it's just mean. I'm not sharing.
Are you serious? The Guardian is a very snobbish paper full of its own self importance. It thinks it's "high brow". My ex BF was an avid Guardian reader and was very hateful of M because of it.
I'm more surprised about the bile from the Independent recently.
I swear, not even serial killers get as much vitriol as M does by the British press. I really don't get it. It comes to something when her only salvation is the Sun.

They're all great. But the worst is Sticky And Sweet because she fucked around with the versions of the classic songs way too much, mixing them all with other tracks. I remember some audience members saying this afterwards. But I love the opening ( has M ever failed in her opening numbers? Nah!)
-
Just wondered. Do under 29s really only listen to artists under their age? When I was 18 I don't recall hating on older artists. Are youngsters really that shallow?
-
powerofmadonna & myself are starting a petition but we need help writing this out (our english isn't perfect) could someone help us setting it up?
Unless people under 30 complain, Radio 1 won't listen.
-
That's disgusting. Ugh Diplo is so unattractive.
He has a nice cut cock though. He also reminds me of a more talented version of Guy Ritchie.
-
I want a studio version
Seconded! I love when she sings this style.
-
The inclusion of Tyson and Chance would get lots of straight boys and boxing fans lapping it up, lol (these types are so predictable). So it MUST be a single. Would bring the "4 Minutes" audience back to her.
-
More like Miranda fucking Lambert beat her. I don't even have any idea who that is.
I doubt anyone tuned in for her (whoever she is).. Probably just geeing up for Kanye and M who came after.
-
Interesting how viewership dropped terminally after Pharell (just before GaGa)...lol! This bitch is officially over.
-
OMG love so much the isolated vocals video!!!! Incredible, love it. I'm sharing it so it spreads!!!!
I don't tink M realises what an incredible vocalist she is. I buy her music because her voice conveys what no one else can. The main reason MDNA was substandard to me (apart from the lyrics) was because she decided not to sing for most of the tracks and instead used her 'this will make the tour easier' crow voice. With RH she realises how important her voice is for selling the tracks.
-
I thought someone said M's performance was the viewership peak? So Kanye beat her. That's wrong on so many levels.
I really don't get the deal with Kanye West. I doubt if any UK public could name one song of his. I vaguely remember he did one called 'Stronger' but everything he does samples other people's work.
Brit Awards continued: The Queen is TRIUMPHANT giving the performance of her life!

Really nice to hear the great respect these young stars have for her.
