Beyonce is a bit boring I agree. She has 2 basic style of song and performance. Either a bootyshaking anti-man type song (most common) or a cheesy ballad. Every video is based around her being bootylicious by sticking out her ass. There is no variety at all. So she rapidly bores me. She's OK but I wouldn't rate her in the same league as Tina Turner. And certainly not in Madonna's league.
She isn't in complete control but she's trying, she commented that her aim in life is to achieve the sort of control and autonomy that Madonna has.

Not really. I love Devil Pray but I haven't listed it because I don't think it would get played. My list if personal favourites would be very different.

I have to admit, and anyone is welcome to come for me all day and night, but I never thought coming to the M-nation forums during the release of one of Madonna's best albums in years, if not one of her very best of all time, would bum me out so much.
I'm heading back below the surface to the scummy M-nation underworld that is Flop Divas & Princesses. Someone put the lotion if the basket and drop it down the hole from time to time for me. Gets dry down there.

I love all the songs on this album. The only song am not feeling even though I've tried is HW. I don't know why. Please don't flush me ! LOL
Every track is quality. The only issue I have with HW is the subject matter which is a bit too yuck for me. But the lyrics are better than Where Life Begins which I always skip, unlike HW.

Her fb banner the day of the album release listed LFL, Ghosttown, and Devil Pray. The banner would be more up to date than the physical cd sticker.
We should definitely get BIM as a single but I don't know if it will be the third.

By the way guys, is looking more and more definite that BIM U.S. the 3rd single. In HMV there were stickers on the albums saying "includes Living For Love, Ghost Town and B**** I'm Madonna".
I wonder what the 4th single will be.

Sorry but this should be a single release. Maybe timed for the upcoming Pacqiaou fight, or for X Factor. This would bring straight, macho types back to Madonna in droves.

That video is fucking amazing. TBH I think Madonna should only make a cameo in the video to this. If it had a lot of young people like in this vid, then it would be more likely to be a hit....and then who knows, M may become cool enough again to sell by herself again without needing rappers. A victory against ageism even.I don't know if this has been posted already, but I just came across this. It's great!!

She is not being SINGLED OUT. As I said, other artists like Take That and Robbie Williams aren't being played because they are also considered not relevant to the audience but their music is perfectly contemporary. Radio 1 has been given a remit to target a specific demographic. They are doing a lot of activity specifically for teens and early twenties and focussing on young artists. It's no different to children's TV only showing certain programmes etc but no one makes a fuss about that.
I think a lot of people are being overly precious. It's nothing personal against Madonna and I completely understand what they're doing. I think the station sucks and they're missing the point of music and should just play a wide variety of artists but it's not what they've been instructed to do. Their ratings are dropping and Radio 2's are growing.
And don't ever call me ageist.

The thing is Madonna is making current music. Take away her name her music would fit right in. It's not like she's making music aimed typically at 50 year olds or her sound isn't fresh and still stuck in the 80s. It's good music that is fresh and exciting! Refusing to play her is daft It's a judgement based purely on her age which is wrong.
