I think WB and M are busy counting $ that comes from however many downloads this gets total and will think about what #1 means to them, if anything, 2nd.

Oh please. Madonna's team is f*king stupid. Do they really think the song itself will automatically reach #1 w/o any promotions? How long has Madonna been in the business? The bitch is supposed to know the rules better than anyone else, isnt she? Mariah is, on the other hand, working her fat ass off to promote her soon to be #1 single.
Madonna has had pleanty of success over her career where she did no promotion. A good song will sell itself, which is why Mariah has to bust her ass. Pre-orders are doing very well for Hard Candy at Amazon and Itunes while Mariah's album is moving slower. She HAS to. Madonna Can, if she wants to. And usually only does when there's a problem.

I know times are different but doing no promo for a lead single is the norm for Madonna.

yes Warner always has their heads up their asses but they also cannot predict the future... wait two weeks, three weeks... you never know what is going to explode. we are all shocked 4M is even doing as well as it is. who could have guessed. just relax.

I'm sure people get pissed and vendictive when Madonna moves on. Sounds like the case with Shep. Possibly Steve Bray. I don't think there was a falling out w/ Bray after the LAP album, I think his sound had just become repetative and dated. Maybe he was a pain in the ass about it. Putting out Pre-Madonna probably didn't help.

It may be a good sign that IDJ/Mariah feels the need to release a remix... maybe they have access to actual #'s and Madonna's even closer than we think.

On a side note...everyone seemed tp like the Drew Barrymore TV movie but I liked the Alyssa Milano TV movie more. LOL
I still remember SNL addressing all the Amy Fisher movies by doing "BET Amy Fisher", "Tori Spelling as Amy Fisher", etc.

Surely she must have had SOME idea of what Howard Would say to her.
He was talking to her about the sex tape in a way that he was looking down on the whole thing, then he said "I've got a caller, it's Mary Jo's daughter..." and Amy walked off. MJ's daughter said she just wanted to tell her it's not a good idea to do sex tapes when you have kids.

Do you think if someone write a letter to Billboard, ask if Mariah urging fans to buy multiple copies, even have a competition, is legitimate? I am sure nothing Billboard can do, but if they bring up that subject in Billboard magazine then more people will finally realize how Mariah got her #1s
I think I wrote them in the past about 49 cent singles. They don't seem interested in addressing the matter.

i HATE to say this, lol, but Howard Stern had her on and she reminds me of Mariah (at least visually, on Howard TV). They are both from LI. Amy lasted like 10 seconds on his show and walked off. Her creepy BF called later to tell Howard she did her time and it was years ago, why couldn't he talk to Amy about other things besides shooting someone. Howard was like, was else is there?!

as i've said elsewhere my hatred for Mariah has nothing to do with Madonna. there is no competition.
she is going to brag about beating elvis when it is all a scam. people get annoyed when baseball players break the records of "real" players with steroids. i love music and care about records just like sports people do.

Wal-Mart now has TIC priced at 8 and change ($8.88 or something like that) and GHV2 at 9 and change. At those prices they should start moving some...
