I’m definitely voting for Yeesus. I really can’t vote for Biden.

I voted reluctantly for Hillary, but given how things are going, I really hope you're joking.

There is NOTHING you can say that would justify something as ridiculous as voting for fucking Kanye fucking West, who is an unhinged Trump supporter, over Biden. NOTHING.

We need a Karen thread! Every day on social media (especially Twitter) I see viral posts of bigots spewing their filth out in public and getting massively exposed, dragged, and getting real repercussions. With the recent events I see a lot more of these racists getting identified online and karma-ed hard.

Madonna posted this Karen in her IG stories today. :scared:

Her Instagram account doesn't exist anymore

I support the BLM campaign with all my heart but this is getting a tad ridiculous now (And is nothing directly to do with them it’s other people feeling a need to take action).

Attempting to re-write history by removing films isn’t the answer. Surly these films are held up as a product of the times they were made and it’s a known fact racism existed as blatantly and disgustingly as depicted in GWTW. Removing it does nothing but hide away the fact it had the racist undertones.

If we are going to open up the vaults and make decisions based on societies standards today then half of the films available would be taken down or given censor messages at the start.

Take the bond films in the early days and how woman were treated for example absolutely disgraceful it wouldn’t happen in a modern Bond film now but does that mean we get rid of these and keep starting a fresh?

I am not making this a contest between offences but where do we draw the line here there are so many films made that are a product of the day that are both old fashioned now and at times the content is viewed in todays pair of eyes as immoral.

Trying to hide them is pointless they should remain and be lessons of shock to today’s audience particularly the younger audience to bring it home that such a world once existed.

Because it did exist and we must all learn from it.

Read Kim's comment above. No one is trying to rewrite history, just present antiquated ideologies in today's context / world.

By your logic we should all enjoy a good minstrelsy because why rewrite history, it's just good old fun.

As usual, when a woman is fighting and determined in a debate, she is automatically defined as being a total bitch while a man doing the same is defined as showing leadership. will this double standard end one day?

    Not in our lifetime.

It's one of those well-intentioned comments with a poor delivery. Here we go with people nit-picking the Democratic candidate, like the horrible evil email scandal that nobody to this day truly knows why it was a scandal, while Trump pisses on Russian hookers, grabs women by the pussies, bans muslims, calls my people rapists, etc., etc., etc.

And this is just one of the reasons why he'll win again.

    Awful

Why does the world have to be vexed and "lead" by a country where a Donald Trump can become head of state?? Why oh why. What's up in the US with people not living in coastal areas? Not that everyone thinks like Trumpbots there but you know what I mean, probably the majority does in those areas and that's exactly the problem, which in turn becomes a national problem and subsequently an international one

To be honest, that's just the way it's always been throughout all of history. Horrible toxic people men have always been leaders of imperialist powers time-and-time again.

I've said this before, but rural white America has been suffering for decades as America continues to export low-paying jobs to the third world, and even though they're absolutely wrong, the Republican party has done a wonderful job at pandering to them by blaming immigrants, the blacks and everyone else except who's actually to blame, THE REPUBLICAN PARTY (e.g., Reaganomics, deregulation), and it's worked for them.

And again, even though they're absolutely wrong, the Democrats choose to attack those people (Hillary called them deplorables), instead of at the very least being like hey, we might disagree philosophically on many things, but you're still American, I still want to be your president, I hear what you're saying and I will do my best to help your communities. Trump did that in his own sick way and won.

    Exactly.

You will never see another president in this world making irresponsible comment and tweeting rubbish 24/7 and attacking people all around the world non stop and brags about having total power above all human being.

Bolsonaro is basically the same. He blamed Leonardo DiCaprio for the rain forest fires 😂

Looking back through the first thread, including at the replies to my own comments, a few members here were extremely aggressive and downright awful towards anyone taking this seriously and were just as dismissive of the virus as Trump was/is. One in particular kept saying the standard "the flu is more deadly!" line, even though COVID-19 has a mortality rate over 30x higher. Now those members haven't commented at all in a few weeks, or simply changed their tune as if we wouldn't notice. Funny how that works.

People in the west simply became jaded and way too comfortable over the course of 70+ years since WWII, which was global society's, but especially western society's, last major test. A whole lot of people thought the comfort and technology of the modern First World made a pandemic like this an impossibility. Thus they dismissed it immediately.

What’s the point of this? So you were right, congrats?

Most people making such comments  here just didn’t want people to panic when we had little to no information and data. I don’t recall anyone flat out saying this is all a hoax / I’m not going to take this seriously / I’m going to take the coronavirus challenge and lick a toilet for you to compare them to Trump.

An infected individual touched the handrail of the subway.

Another person used the same contaminated handrail and went to a supermarket, bought something and paid $$$ to the cashier.

The cashier counts the contaminated $$$ and passed it to the manager.

The manager brought it to the bank and the teller accepted the contaminated $$$.

The teller went home and kissed her husband and spread it to her husband.

Her husband works for buckingham palace as security guard.

He touched the door knob and contaminated it.

The secretary of the palace touched the contaminated door knob.

The secretary passed a document using his contaminated fingers for Prince Charles to sign.

Prince Charles flipped through the pages and caught the virus on his fingers.

    Prince Charles touches his face.

    Tadah!!!

You should turn this into a book
