  1. Naughty! But shame that Kylie and Madonna have both worked the Rivers image in recent times. Not a good look for either of them.

I reckon that that Joan sees Kylie when she looks in the mirror. I saw Joan in the flesh recently and you know what? She didn't look that bad, certainly not how you'd think.

  2. Bingo.

We all know she crosses people out completely who use her for £££ and that's what Bray did. He completely burnt his bridges with her. Idiot!

Can you imagine if he had contributed to Hard Candy? It would have been fabulous.

I wonder what pushed him to do it though? It seems like such an odd thing to do, considering their personal and working relationship; I mean it's not like he was Otto, he had a hand in some of the best pop songs ever. I am glad he did it though, I LOVE Pre-Madonna.

I'm always surprised that the a fair few of her producers (bar maybe Stuart) have really taken full advantage of working with Madonna; what are Shep, Stephen, Mark Kamins, Jellybean, even Pat up to these days.

  3. The only 'oddity' is having the LP version of "Hung Up". As much as I ADORE the instrumental breakdown, it really should be the radio edit on the GH - nice and TRIM to kick things off..

No, the radio edit of Hung Up should NEVER have seen the light of day. I was horrified when I first heard it.

  4. I don't mind the Mother And Father lyrics, the rhythm of "rap" sounds like a nursery rhyme to me so it works in context.

The ones that stick out for me are "I was special too" in X-Static Process and "here is the law of the land, you play with fire and you'll get burned, here is the lesson I've learned that, that you don't know what you've got till it's gone" from the execrable One More Chance. How many cliches can you cram in one bridge?

  5. Of course the pics were not altered. And of course this story is total BS.

But I do have to say that the veins look worse than usual because of the flash as the pic was taken in night time.

This. And maybe they turned up the contrast or something but I don't believe for a second that they've materially changed the picture, they've simply chosen the worst one.

And no, she shouldn't cover her arms, they look fabulous in real life and make column inches in the press, it's a win / win. Even if the reporting is negative it proves how much of a talking point she (and her body) still is a quarter of a decade later and keeps her in the public consciousness.

  6. I'm not keen on when she does that. The end of the album version of "Don't Tell Me" was similarly horribly protracted.

Ah. I'm quite partial to a protracted outro as long as it's audible; Don't Tell Me, Nobody's Perfect, Paradise and Easy Ride I quite like.

  7. I was really upset last year :chuckle:

You weren't the only one. I was becoming horribly obsessed by it (I still think she's not quite happy with her right eye / side though).

Candy Shop is all kinds of great and to think that everyone shat over it for most of the year.

  8. I talked about this earlier in the thread... I have a feeling it's a radio edit. Actually, the song is a bit longer than 3:20. If you turn up your speakers you'll hear the drums still echoing. But there still seems to be about 8 or 9 seconds of dead air, but as HOLIDAYGUY pointed out, sometimes leaked demos like this usually have dead space. But it is still odd since the album version states 3:35 on Amazon. So I conclude this may be a radio edit. Maybe not much different from the album version though... I don't know??

No, honestly, listen to it with in-ear headphones (with the volume up), there's no dead air at all, the fade goes all the way to 3:35. It's quite an excessive fade.

  9. But still, it doesn't subtract the fact this latest leak is actually 3 mins and 20 secs while the track listing for the album version says 3:35.

No, it's the full 3:35. Listening on my headphones the drums fade all the way to 3:35, it may be quiet but it's there, there's no silence. Maybe you're too old to hear the frequency Neut. ;)
