  1. It did drop very fast didnt it

    :nervous::scared::dramatic:

So this might be its last week in the top 40 then?

Could be, but apparently it's up 19.4% on last week (?). And 1.75% of those sales came from Northern Ireland (if your at all interested!). Oh and Rihanna's at number 2 and Kings of Leon at number one selling absolute shitloads.

  2. I was outside the golden circle but very close to it, more towards the right side. It definetely lacked atmosphere, at least where I was located. I wish I could go to see the concert in Seville, Greece or Brazil... people werent jumping even when Madonna was singinf Ray of Light!!!!

Thanks for sharing the pics btw

You're welcome. I was to the left of the catwalk in the golden circle and promise that I was jumping during Ray of Light! I was also having a gloriously tuneless singalong (I think I had a loony beatific smile on my face during Into The Groove's "know I know your mines" and Borderline :inlove: ). There was one very tall man in front of me though, hogging my view and standing still throughout, I was this far from giving him a big gay shove.

  3. Only a group of sexy brazilians were giving some atmpsphere and good vibes.

Were you in the Golden Cirlcle? I was next to a group of sexy Brazilians, assuming that's who you mean? We had a great night. We were in the golden circle and every performance was a singalong but there was something especially joyous about Borderline and Into The Groove. And, despite the bitching, La Isla and Ray of Light were firm favourites. Here are some photos I took (pretty rubbish but the best I could get in a "stick your hands over your head, press the button and hope for the best" way. Feel free to tell me how to resize the photos so they don't take up the whole page.

  4. I tend to think though that even with a modernised tube system the whole scenario wouldn't be much different. in the end it's the crowds that determine the outcome. there are simply too many people using the system. you'd still have to wait for 1 or 2 trains to leave before being able to get onto one at busy times/stations. Personally that doesn't bug me too much but obviously the situation would be much improved if they managed to tackle all those technical glitches. Additionally London has the misfortune (in terms of transport logistics) to have a disproportionate number of workplaces located in relatively small areas and a lot of businesses holding on to the 9 - 5 working hours.

For me, bus and bike has turned out to be a good alternative.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that I'll be leaving Wembley halfway through the last song in order to avoid the worst.

Totally agree about the bike, I get to work in literally half the time when I use it (but I'm so lazy it's mainly used as a glorified clothes horse). I do prefer the convenience of the tube to the bus (though most people I know do prefer a bus - bring back the routemaster though). I would like some of those fancy double decker trains though, they look like they're from the future (but we'll never get those because of the tiny tiny tunnels we've got - boo!).

Anyway, enough London's transport issues (without even getting started on pricing)!

Will you really leave before the end of the concert? I've never done that. I really annoy my boyfriend by insisting on staying through the credits at the cinema too.

  5. I've been using public transport in London to get to and from work for years now and I've never had a problem. When you first use it it can seem a bit daunting, but that lasts for about 2 days.

You are possibly the luckiest person in London then. It's not so much the daunting aspect of the crowds it's moreseo the fact that, at certain stations, at certain times, it's nigh on impossible to get on the first train that stops, major stations close due to overcrowding, signal problems, delays, etcetera, ad nauseam.

The underground is certainly a frustrating embarrassment when you consider the public transport systems in some other coutries. However, it is the oldest metro system in the world and we're limited to improving an outdated Victrorian infrastructure rather than having the luxury of starting from scratch.

  6. So what's this Wembley Stadium tube station about? I used to get off at Wembley Central or Wembley Park.

I've always used Wembley Park, it's easy and there'll be regular trains (and I don't particularly like using the overground at that time of night). My concern is getting home to sunny Brixton as the Victoria line is closing at 10pm, Monday to Friday, at the moment.

  7. hasn't Wembley got a roof now though?

It's not fully retractable though. Guess it's plastic poncho time.

Hope it's not as hellish as fraught NINE HOURS spent standing in Wembley Stadium for The Girlie Show (memorable moment - my best friend complaining her feet were tired and why didn't we buy seats instead of standing one too many times and me shouting "why do you have to ruin the best day of my life" in front of everyone. Shame)

  8. I've been top bidder for one on ebay since Wednesday so it looks like I'll be going too, so from now on it's ALL ABOUT eyes, hair, mouth, figure, dress, voice, style, image. :queenbitch:

Good luck! I'm having my concert haircut next week, as I'm going straight from work that's all the glamour I can manage. I also need set aside some time for bladder training. I've booked Friday off so it'll be a Madonna Bank Holiday of sorts. Hurrah!

  9. So...I had an ongoing issue with Viagogo over a GC ticket and was resigned to the fact I wasn't going.

On Wednesday I spoke to their customer service department again and (like one of those cunty complainers) asked for their head office number, they refused to give it and almost gloated that I wouldn't find it on the internet blah blah blah.

The pink mist descended and I came over all crazy Madonna faggot, found the full name of Viagogo's CEO, wrote an angry e-mail and addressed it to around fifteen different versions of what I thought could be his e-mail address, hoping one would get through. And it did! Yesterday the Chief Operating Officer called me and today I have a GC ticket in my hand (and they waived the service fees as a goodwill gesture meaning it's cheaper than my initial transaction that caused all the problems):clap:

  10. I just went via ticketmaster. Not prepared to be ripped off by an official outlet. Viagogo were a total ripoff.

The old tart can go bankrupt rather than me losing some cash.

Unfortunately, Ticketmaster didn't have any GC tickets and the only other person I know going will be in the GC. I can almost forgive being ripped off by a greedy con artist or scalper but an advertised "official partner"? Not so much.

I'd go on my own but I went to a Prince concert on my own years ago and felt like such a self-conscious, sad, friendless, fuck, dancing and singing on my own that I can't bear to do it again (especially in some godforsaken seat the length of a whole football pitch away from the stage).

  11. Well I'm FURIOUS - came back from holiday to find a global email from the 'star seller, with 100% positive feedback' on ebay, telling me to contact paypal for a refund for the GC ticket I bought from her in May. Paypal won't refund the money due to the 45 day rule. I'm not that bothered about the money as I'll no doubt get it back via my VISA (if I can be arsed writing to them) but I now don't have a ticket for the show.

All this aside, there's something not quite right with her strategy if her two UK dates have failed to sell out and MAJOR LOONS like me and :drlecter: don't have tickets.

I'm in much the same situation having been totally fucked over by Viagogo. CUNTS. Whilst prepared to pay a comparatively extortionate amount of money I'm now channeling my inner Donna Summer and saying "enough is enough" and £400 is just too much for an £85 ticket. I may have to hide my credit card just in case (thank god my debit card's gone missing). I'm also slightly incredulous that M (or, more to the point, Livenation) have given Viagogo an official allocation of tickets to sell at truly exorbitant prices. I really do want to go but the situation has been soured by my shite experience with Viagogo that I'm now close giving up on the whole thing and resigned to the fact that I shan't be going

  12. HC sold around 8-8.5K. Total: ~248K.

Speak of the devil and all that...

    This is Tuesday's update

    4M - # 32, 1,164

  13. Where did u get this from, music week hasn't published the 'full' chart yet,#

I seriously doubt HC is that high, so i am dubious of where u got it from x

I get daily midweek updates from the official chart company as part of my job. No need to be dubious

Anyway, HC is at 13 and there's around 800 odd copies between it and the album at number 10.
