I doubt she would change her show at all to please the Australians. This is Madonna we're talking about.

LIVE TO TELL HAIR
Yes! That's it. I was wondering when she'd had that exact hairstyle before.
-
Trussed up like a turkey then.
Be brave.
Oh god, yes!
-
I'm whatever she was doing in December 88.

Yes, this is one of the fascinating things about Madonna. However, I think there are two periods in her life that she has always been nostalgic and willing to reminisce about: her early childhood before and immediately after her mother's death, and her early years in New York. But, yes, she seems to be looking back on even more parts of her life recently.I think we sometimes get the impression that Madonna has forgotten her past because she so rarely talks about it, but she remembers everything! For example, there was that interview for Attitude Magazine in 2005 when the interviewer asked her all sorts of "geeky fan" questions about obscure recordings such as Queen's English and her old demos, amongst other things, and she could immediately recall all the details.
Remember when she said she would never sing Material Girl again and regretted recording it but later admitted she was wrong to have that attitude and instead embraced the song all over again.
Really? When did she have her change of heart? Even on the RIT she still seemed quite reluctant to sing Material Girl, with comments like "I forget the words to this one" or "And I am a material girl... (not really!)".
-
When were they neighbours?
-
And lol at the mention of an "outcry" over Drowned World's £80 ticket prices!
-
Thanks so much, Mattress! I have read transcripts of this interview and knew about her groaning at the mere mention of TUTBMP but never actually heard it.

Great article. For me this album is right up there with Madonna's other masterpieces.

My OCD couldn't cope with their inconsistent labeling and wrong cover art anyway. It would go something like this:
Justify My Love
Vogue (The Remixes)
Like a Prayer - Remixes
Music (Remixes) - EP
Frozen - EP
Etc etc. Like a Prayer would use the single cover for the maxi-single. Music would use the album cover. And then the "Single version" of Vogue would probably be the I'm Breathless version.
Lol so true. And don't forget the badly-scanned cover art and spelling mistakes too.

Madonna never has and never will put music out SHE FEELS is "half baked".
I don't think Madonna is too proud to be critical of her past work or learn lessons from her mistakes. For example, in that interview for GHV2 she said:
I had to be able to listen to them five times in a row and think this is really good, this is a well written song, it's really well produced. I can honestly say not all my songs have been, some are better than others, that's all there is to it.I'm glad she's taking her time to get it right. Erotica started being developed in July 1991 so it's not unprecedented for a Madonna album to take this long until release.

Rebel Heart sounds like an 80s Bonnie Tyler album. I can just picture the album cover with the big 80s hair etc.

Load the newest version of iOS then
According to the article, when the reporter asked Siri 'are you working with Madonna', it replied 'no comment'. Intriguing!
I just said "Siri, are you working with Britney?" (lol) and got the same "No comment" response.
-
If you say "queen of pop" to Siri, it brings up a page about Lady Gaga!
-
Is Lola going to university a year early? I thought you didn't start until the academic year after you turn 18.
-
Don't mean to rain on anyone's parade, but when you type 'unapologetic bitch' into Google or bing or whatever, the top results all relate to Madonna. So maybe Siri just pulls up Madonna's Wikipedia entry based on that.

OR
Funnily enough those were the first two I thought of when I saw the thread title before clicking on the topic.
-
so it was a rumour by StrangulatedMadonna Or what?
Lol I think so.
I'm surprised nobody has yet accused Kate of copying Madonna by performing with her son on stage.
-
I agree. It's definitely one of her best ever tour sections.
-
My god. I read so much dumb shit in this thread...!!!! WTF ???!!!!
"so-called legend" ????
"artsy type" ???
Go back to dance music, for god sake if that's what you like! Stop raining on everyone's parade. You don't like her. Fine. You don't know her. Fine. But stop making a fool of yourself.
And I agree with Popeline: your lack of culture is terribly sad to see.
Kate Bush is not a typical artist with an unusual career. Her interest are wider that just music. She's experimental.
Exactly! If Kate Bush isn't your cup of tea, that's fine. But spare us the ignorant "critiques" that simply demonstrate how you've never actually paid any attention to her work. It's the equivalent of when people say that Madonna can't sing or dance well and her career is based on publicity and taking her clothes off.
Is that a hotel room on stage? Gang Bang rip-off!
No, I think it's supposed to be her son and husband in her living room at home.
-
Apparently Kate is using Omar Hakim, Madonna's brilliant Girlie Show drummer, for these concerts. If Madonna really did go I hope it reminded her of his talent for her next tour.
-
And we are excited about this because?
Because we're fans of a 56-year-old woman who's still at the top of her game.
-
Suedehead, where's Boom in your track listing?? She's referenced it several times now, clearly it's made it onto the album.
What happened to the Olga track ?!?
Where is the clackaclakc track? I'm looking forward to that.
Where is Body Shop?!
Deluxe bonus tracks (A HangedMadonna Exclusive)

She looked amazing and 100% natural. Did she take her cheeks out for the night?
OMG i finally have completed my Madonna collection!!!!!

Yes, I bought a few of them from HMV with that deal. If I'd known they'd become valuable I'd have bought all of them I could find.
Sadly they are quite shoddy, not just in terms of sound. The Cherish and Open Your Heart sleeves, for example, are covered in visible dust specks from where the original artwork was badly scanned. And there's the infamous "White Heart" b-side too.
