  1. :lmao:

Quite.. you really need to get to the point pretty quickly if ya gonna attempt to throw a multi-paragraph opus on our azzes. Not to mention incoherent thread title... um wtf?

I do think there's a point there for the record about the bitching casual fans and starting late - both of which I had, since I had the vantage point from outside the golden cunt (sadly) and with the lateness had to start googling setlists and planned to leave earlier.

Incoherent thread title?.....It's a title, and it's pretty plain and direct.....

  2. The answer is no and when was she 3 hours late? For the ones pointlessly complaining about this issue, consider yourselves lucky that you're able to see the show in an arena and with seating arrangements for the floor as well. Just you wait 3 hours more (if she's actually ever been 3 hours late as you say) for her to take to the stage when you've already been queuing for 10 hours all day under scorching temperatures, immersed in a crowd of pushy and sweaty queens and then you tell me if you've had it rough, waiting a bit for her there

Denver started at 11 pm. We fans know she doesn't go on until at least 10:30 pm, but the general ticket holder sees 8 PM on their ticket and they certainly do not expect the show to start 3 hours after the stated ticket time.

  3.

She sold all of them, RIT, CT, S&S and now MDNA. Minus (per BB) the Seville gig for S&S (82%, one gig over a total of 5 stadium gigs in Spain alone). The Prague one for CT if I remember correctly and the Slane Castle gig for RIT (92 %). People should stop complaining about her supposed tardiness, it adds to the allure and I am sure that with the opening DJ sets and the show itself there are loads of technical issues that needs to be handled properly to guarantee a flawless show, which unlike other acts is typically Madonna's style. I swear every year there's a thread that predicts some future lesser commercial performance and every year she's still among the top 5 celebrities in the world, whatever.

Hmm, I never heard anyone predicting anything......a heathy discussion about the large number of people complaining to TM and other sources that they will never again pay $ to see her due to her late starts is what inspired this.....some fans need to get off defense mode and try and see things in the BIG PICTURE (lol)......we mega-fans are not the majority....the majority don't have the patience, energy, or understanding to wait 2.5-3 hours for a show to begin. That is all....no one is questioning her future commerical appeal, the question is will her late starts turn off a substantial amount of ticket buyers on future tours.

  4. No, I don't think so. The Drowned World Tour showed us a dark stage act and a very unfriendly Madonna. The reviewers seem to be eating this tour up, fans that are not sitting in the pit seem to love it, and I keep hearing how much fun she looks like she's having. Remember off these boards there are lots of fans and people that have a very different and much more realistic view of what's going on.

You missed the point completely. This isn't about the tone or theme of the show, it is about her late starts.

  5. I think it's a complicated show and she wont start until everything is 100%. I think the people booing think she's at Starbucks sipping a latte.

I agree about the complications, which in case it may be wise to inform the audience rather than have them start booing. It certainly dampers the general crowds mood. On previous tours, every US venue was sold out....correct? I am seeing that more and more arena shows on this tour have a bit of open space.....as I said....Denver was certainly not sold out.

  6. Bla bla bla. Crybabies unite. She will be fine.

Be sure to read the posts...no one here is crying.... we are all very willing to wait for our GODDESS......we are just understanding the reality that the majority of the people who buy tickets do not think like we Madonnaites.....esp in American, people are impatient and vocal about it. The late starts really piss people off....and its a LARGE number who are pissed. Just check out TicketMaster...the reviews under her name are horrendous and it's all people bitching about the late starts....from S&S through MDNA.

  7. some of you a viewing the thing from a fan angle... but a lot of attendance is made by casual fans, people who wants to see a show and then go home (they work the following day), or go to a club after concert and then go home. it's not the full audience but a good portion of it. and starting to all shows not before 10,00 or 10,30 can leave bad taste in a lot of people who won't pay high ticket prices on another tour. (obviously i dont' give a about the starting time, but i can see the point) interestingly, for confession tour in rome there were a lot of complaints, but they were caused most because of the total mess of the public transport. this time was better and the show started at 10,15 if i remember (after some ola and then some booing).

You hit it on the head......not everyone sees her in the way that we do and feel they are being disrespected by the late start. Most people are not sitting there thinking "It's okay that we will miss our train, have to pay our babysitter an extra 3 hours and have to miss work tomorrow....everyone will understand, for she is the queen...."

To some casual fans, she's just an entertainer....a legend, but still an entertainer nonetheless....she doesn't have an impact in their lives outside of their CD's or iPod.

  8. [

I think it is on purpose. If you wait you ll be more exited when show starts. Obviously. Temptation darling is what we call it. And she acts like a queen. If you wanna her presence you ll need to wait.

Anyway your post is full of shit. Who are you that you need apologize for her to others?

She must be aware of booing and she dont mind. So..why you should be? It is all part of the game.

    Cheers

Are you talking to me? When you are a huge fan and attend shows, the casual fans around you will bitch and moan to you...I am sure others here can relate.....that's all I meant...geeeesh.

  9. I would like to add that no one boo'ed at the Seattle shows. Bitches waited for the Queen...fuck, we've been waiting 20+ years, 2 hours wasn't going to kill us.

Denver was just a bunch of cunts....there was a tremendous booing when she revealed her OBAMA tattoo....she even stated "Am I being booed right now?"....she sorta said it with a smirk....she knows what she is doing. Still, I personally feel they could capture the momentum created by the opening act a bit better....opening acts are designed to prepare the crowd for the headliner, but when you warm them up and then let them sit for another 1.5 hours, it does sort of lose it's flow....

  10. *I was front row center in the GT for Denver, so obviously there was no one complaining nearby, but just beyond the circle the annoyance of impatience could clearly be felt.....

I am not referring to the mass amount of controversies MDNA has garnered, those are a badge of honor for M and fuel to her artistic flame.....I am referring to the bad customer service.....hear me out.

We have all seen the vids or at least heard about the booing before shows......having just witnessed this first-hand it is disturbing....Denver didn't start until nearly 11, and the crowd booed at least 3x.....once was after Madonna had been spotted by the crowd on the side as she made her way backstage.....the roar of the boos are so loud and deafening that it's shocking and overwhelming.

As a fan, I do not know what to tell people about this when they complain to me....the comments on the press article websites and especially TicketMaster....people aren't having it. I noticed that Denver wasn't very packed, it definitely wasn't sold out, and I think as time goes on, people will be less and less willing to shell out the $ to see her.

It is one thing to base your shows heavily on your new material, but the incredibly late starts are going to really cause people to ignore future tours. It has been this way for every tour since DWT, but it seems to be far worse now. What is the purpose? What is she doing? Why can't the show start at 10? She is known for her extreme punctuality and organized work ethic yet she allows thousands of people who have paid to see her to sit staring at and empty stage for 2.5 hours with no explanation or apology. The DJs open, pump the crowd, and then they are left sitting for an hour and a half before the show ever starts.....

As huge fans, we sit for hours, even days to see her in the flesh, but the general public (the majority filling the venues and making this tour the massive success that it is) would never spend the time and energy, and shouldn't be expected to. I just forsee the late start and lack of hit complaints tainting her reputation as a live performer....she tours far more frequently now, and will for several more years, so the demand will naturally wane but the issue will be if people hear of the uber late starts, they will certainly question shelling out the high ticket prices.

I am glad that she continues to forge forth as an artist and never rests on her legend....but the general fans think differently....I think they are willing to overlook the reliance on more fresh material since the quality of the show is so amazing....but these late starts, esp for fans with children and jobs, I really think it is going to hurt her future ticket receipts.

  11. PS: The crowd SUCKED! Triangle rocked the house and she loved it, but aside from the booing before the show, the booing when she revealed her OBAMA tattoo, and her throat issues, she wasn't having too much of it....no Holiday, no Love Spent. You could tell she just wanted to get the night overwith.

I WORSHIPPED till I nearly DIED. The eye contact, the nods and smiles. The is THE BEST EXPERIENCE a mega fan could ever dream of. The entire front row and GT was on fire. I loved each and ever second of it!

  12. I'll take the liberty of starting the topic on the Denver show! Golden Triangle baby!!!

Speaking of which, when should I expect the email with the details on where to get my tix, wristband, etc? It says no later than 12 hours before the show which would be tomorrow morning. I was just curious as to the timing. I will feel better once I have that email!

Also, I hear conflicting suggestions...some say that the front of the triangle against the mainstage is the best place...where others say the tip on the opposite side. My DREAM is to TOUCH the QUEEN....so I was thinking mainstage!

Since I am coming from Miami, I do not have any friends or family to give my exisitng tickets to (two seats in Row 5 of the section directly in front of the tip of the runway) though I have a riot of people who want them. My hope is to find a young fan that I see myself in years back, I know what a dream it would have been had someone gave me 5th row seats when all I could afford was the shitty seats. I paid $3k for these seats, so I wanna pay it forward, I won GT which is the WORLD to me so I want to try to make the world for a younger up and coming fan! Anyone know anyone??

  13. I would say so. She also touches people towards the end during Like a Prayer for everyone lying on the edges of the triangle, no matter what side.

Awesome! I am still trying to wrap my brain around the fact that I will actually get to experience the show from within the GT! I am ready to EXPLODE! I am so over-paranoid that I keep checking to make sure that my reply to the email did indeed go through. The first cut the previous email body out, so to be safe, I replied again ensuring that the previous email was there.....I am taking NO chances!

  14. Thank you guys!!! I am still in shock! I had come to terms with not winning, reminding myself that i still had awesome seats, I would still be close...but then...BAM...GT!!!!! I can't wait for M to see my sign and shirt.....I'll post pics, she's gonna love it!

From a previous post I saw, the best place in the GT in the front of the stage? I've watched a million hours worth of YT vids of the show so I know the chances of touching her lie at the very front of the main stage or the right corner (left from the stage).....next goal is to attempt to get touched.....THEN I will DIE for certain!!!!!
