    I like that she pushed the boundaries with this tour, especially the guns and the violence, it gave her a bit of an edge and is done spectacularly well on this tour.

    My fandom has never waned but seeing her become a badass again after the Ritchie years, the Kaballah, the children's books and the disco era has really increased my enjoyment in her work. She was starting to become a bit lightweight, still 100 times better than Kylie but she was started to veer towards becoming that sort of safe pop star.

    Sticky and Sweet felt a little like she was trying to reclaim her former self with the swearing, the attitude and the overt sexuality again. Yet MDNA feels more organic, more closer to who she really is, a rebel at heart and a trailblazer. I loved the nipple slip, the controversy in Russia etc. It's like Blond Ambition for 2012. She has truly blown all of them out of the water and must feel quite secure in her position in the pop world now.

    I think finally having so much competition after all these years, really lit a fire under her ass and she became Madonna again.

    Human Nature always seems to suck live, I'm sorry but it does. I don't know why she keeps revisiting it.

    I know it's only a Youtube clip but there is zero atmosphere in that arena for that song.

    Hmmm, I don't agree....I think that it sums up Madonna's FUCK YOU attitude to perfection. I find the MDNA version to be the ultimate performance of the track thus far.....DWT was pretty good and mixed well into the Western theme....S&S was all about the attitude, the performance overall wasn't a highlight (not to mention that she basically speaks and then screams the song....)...but MDNA, the mirrors, the cane, the striptease...I love it.

    GI2M was def a superior climax....both live in person and on the DVD....still, it does't belong in this mix.....A stronger Holiday/Celebration mix (than what was performed on S&S Round 2) would have been perfect....the casual fans would orgasm at having a ultra dance mix of Holiday thrown at them at the very end of the show. Mosy of the people who don't know Celebration don't know GI2M either, so if she were looking for a stronger climax, mashing in an actual hit would have been the surefire solution......

    To be honest, I don't like this mash-up with GI2M. The melody of GI2M doesn't fit the music of Celebration. In the chorus, it sounds like 2 songs are playing at the same time, not like a good mash-up.

    I hope she improves the mix. Love Spent was changed multiple times and now it sounds amazing, so I have hope she will do the same now with Celebration/GI2M.

    I agree, and truly, THIS is where Holiday should be added if at all. It's a casual fan favorite and the audience would love it....Holiday/Celebration is an obvious mix (done w Celebration as the lead as opposed to the lackluster 2009 version seen on S&S Round 2)....

    She seems to purposely choose more casual fan-types for these rare moments. I think she knows fanatics like us couldn't sustain touching her and surviving long enough to write our worshipful babble....lol. I would fucking die just wiping the sweat off her back!!

    Great review but did you see the comments below...once again, furious people for the late start. Given the super pro that she is, I can't believe she thinks these late starts are cool.... YES, we FANS do not care, but we are only a small percent of these venues. The vast majority who are making this tour such a success feel disrespected....and in a sense, they are.

    Is this true? I heard the following shows are set to be cancelled from the tour due to Hurricane Sandy's aftermath to the northeast US.....but what would Charlotte, Atlanta and Detroit have to do with this....? This has to be a rumor.

    The was a roar of boos before the start as the crowd grew impatient.....then again when she revealed the OBAMA tattoo....she even said "am I being booed right now?", but with a smirk on her face. She knows what she is doing.

    They have nothing to complain about. And these are supposedly people from the golden triangle!

    I highly doubt anyone in the GT would ever complain. I was elated every second of the experience. The wait was long, but I think most of us are willing to wait for days to be so close to our queen. The booing and complaints are certainly from outside the Triangle.

    It's pretty clear that a large portion of fans here are ultra-defensive and would rather insult the topic or other fans rather than contribute to the conversation. Thank you to everyone who had a mature and thoughful response....asking questions and confronting realistic topics and issues, even towards M, is what makes discussion forums thrive.
