  1. That was pulled directly from the first line of the article posted on Grammy.com. Notice the 'semicolon' which separates Madonna from Billie Joe Armstrong and Miranda Lambert who are doing a tribute to Phil Everly of the Everly Brothers. It doesn't mean she's actually performing with them.

Oh, okay. I got the impression that she was going to be part of the tribute. Does this mean she's performing by herself? Why would they announce her as a performer individually if she's going to duet with someone?

  2. I love how it starts as one song and ends as another!! My guess is that, in the demo stage, there were probably two different songs and they put them together.

I've always loved "Incredible," but was generally disappointed with "Hard Candy" at first. It just wasn't up to the level that her previous releases were. But since the release of "MDNA," I've been getting into HC more. It may not be a masterpiece like "Erotica" or "Confessions," but it's still good...

  3. I highly doubt that she's premiering a new single. I mean, wouldn't we have known by now if she was in the studio working on a new album? Has she ever done something like that in secret before? I'm not saying it won't happen, I just wouldn't get my hopes up.

I feel like, if anything, she'll perform with another artist. Nine Inch Nails would be hot. A Closer/Erotica mashup maybe? Hahaha ;)

  4. I love that the CD still comes with "how to care for your Compact Disc" instructions in the booklet :chuckle: Probably time for a remaster...

YES PLEASE!!! I don't know why Warner didn't release it in 2001 when they remastered her first 3 albums.

I'd like a 2-disc deluxe edition w/the Shep Pettibone remixes of LAP, Express Yourself, and Keep It Together. Supernatural should be on there, too.

  5. I don't think it's any of my business, so I won't comment on Madonna's personal life, but I doubt that "diminishing her light" had anything to do with her work. I mean, while she was married to Guy Ritchie, she did the following:

    - WIFLFAG video, directed by Ritchie, which got banned on MTV & VH1 for violent content

    - WIFLFAG remix interlude during the Drowned World Tour

    - American Life music video

    - 2003 MTV VMA performance w/Britney & Christina

    - Reinvention Tour (American Life performance, political statements, etc.)

    - Live to Tell performance from the Confessions Tour

    - Sorry remix interlude from the Confessions Tour

My point is, she never stopped being controversial, political, or provocative. So, that leads me to believe that whatever she's referring to in that lyric was about stuff that happened offstage, in her private life.

  6. If a new album is the only project Madonna will be working on, then I think it's safe to say she'll do quite a bit of promotion. She's not against making appearances, doing interviews, performances, etc. It's just a matter of what she's promoting. When she has a film, fragrance, clothing line, gym, AND an album come out all at the same time, that's when it gets tricky.

Take this last era for example, she did the Tonight Show, Anderson, Nightline, Graham Norton, etc. But it was for her movie. If the film wasn't coming out, those appearances would've been to create buzz for MDNA. If she did a promo campaign this time that was similar to COADF, that would be a dream come true.

I also think that after working on her film for 3 years straight, she was very anxious to get back on tour and perform a full show. I don't think she wanted to be bothered w/doing a small promo tour prior to the full world tour starting. Maybe if she only works on music this time, she'll be up for more album promotion. I, personally, would love to see her do one of those On The Record w/FUSE interviews!! It would be like those days when she would do interviews w/Kurt Loder on MTV! Anyone remember Dinner with Madonna?

  7. I agree with the choice! MDNA (Deluxe) is one her best ever.

    BUT

I was so hoping they chose HC..... .....she may as well have called the album "Fuck You. I'm 50" with that cover. I would love to see it make a best covers list. From the moment I saw the cover leak (here at MNation of course) I've found it hilarious. Only Madonna....

    "Fuck you I'm 50."

  8. I'm so disappointed I actually am crying. I worked HOURS on my work and she didn't even acknowledge it. I later shared a very personal message thinking that maybe she'd prefer that, (and I actually even preferred it above my work as well as it's coming from my heart) and nothing.. But anyway, I cant let it bother me.. I'm not a fucking victim like the gags and those other puppets.

Don't take it personally. I submitted a bunch of stuff too and never got a response. The #ArtForFreedom hashtag was the #1 worldwide trending topic on Twitter throughout the entire chat. There were so many submissions, that there was no way she would get to see all of them.

  9. Wow i just arrived at home and now this thread is on fire! Whats going on? Whats happening? Madonna descended from heavens to take me? :nervous:

The screenings of the "Secret Project" are tonight in LA, London, Berlin, and New York. The film will be released as a free download tomorrow on BitTorrent at 9PM PST.
