  1. Top 3: Ghosttown, Heartbreak City, Body Shop (but quite a few songs right up there)
    Grower: Holy Water
    Faded: Hold Tight
Lyrics: Ghosttown, Wash All Over Me, Messiah, Living for Love, Rebel Heart
Melody: Ghosttown, Rebel Heart, Beautiful Scars, Body Shop
Chorus: Ghosttown, Rebel Heart, Beautiful Scars
Play Loud: Living for Love, S.E.X.
    Overrated: Iconic, Joan of Arc
    Underrated: BEAUTIFUL SCARS.

  2. One of the best aspects of the final album version for me is Alicia's piano notes, just having that organic sounds make the song such a jam. Would have enjoyed more of that kind of direction with the song and maybe have it be a little longer.

Other than that it's perfect and I actually listen to it pretty much every day. The most embarrassing thing is how much I sing it while doing the elliptical at the gym. People some times stare but I can't help it. lol

Yes, all the version feel a bit short. Though one of the demos has that heavenly outro!

  3. Robster, I'm sorry you were treated with no respect or empathy---at a Madonna concert, no less! Completely ridiculous. That person must be very bitter and hurt inside, if this is how he behaves on such a joyous occasion (imagine when things go wrong...).

Thankfully, just as one person was being an asshole someone else was being kind. And you got the best pictures.

And what an awesome gift for you to be part of the show!!!

  4. I didn't ask for a refund either because I didn't know how long it'd take... and I NEEDED to watch MDNA a lot.

I'd be willing to give the new version a try but only if someone in the US could confirm the audio is better. It sounds paper thin on mine, which is why I haven't watched it in months.

  5. So did the LA Times:

She's Madonna — remember? Featuring some of her strongest tracks in 15 years, Madonna's "Rebel Heart" enlisted an A-list roster of producers and special guests, including the Grammy-nominated Diplo, West and Nicki Minaj. Despite featuring a familiar sort of bravado in singles such as "Bitch I'm Madonna," she was shut out for this year's Grammy nominations. But don't shed too many tears for an artist in Madonna's class — as she wrote in her liner notes while quoting Michael Moore, "You can't stick your chin out and not expect to get punched."

  6. It was produced by a different team, that's why it wasn't mentioned in the article.

This is a few segments from the Herald Sun newspaper in Melbourne -

"Melbourne showman Scott Maidment has a friend and colleague in Madonna. The queen of pop saw his last 2 shows in London & loved them so much she invited him to work with her on her Rebel Heart Tour.

He obliged, naturally, & flew to New York to create one of the numbers, Illuminati, for her concert.

Maidment is the creative brain behind Strut & Fret, the company responsible for a parade of acclaimed shows, including those seen by Madonna, Cantina and Limbo.

Strut & Fret specialises in circus-cabaret entertainment - the jaw dropping kind with audiences right up close to the action for the added wow.

The company's philosophy is this: "We believe artistic experiences should be breathtaking, heart-gripping, unforgettable and entertaining."

That's awesome, thank you for clarifying.

    Hopefully more to come.

I'm a little surprised that Moment Factory (or whatever the name) did not work again on this. The Superbowl and MDNA are her best stage designs bar none. Maybe they are trop cher?

  7. I heard the demo first. I liked it, but it was very LQ. Then she released the album and WAOM was totally changed. It's not a bad song, but it's just too slow for me. It doesn't go anywhere.. that been said, I'm also happy she didn't release the Avicii version. It would have been dated much more sooner and sounds more Avicii than Madonna track.

SOMA my friend you've got to re-consider. Pull up a nice chair, get a glass of wine, put on your best headphones/speakers... And let the song take you. It definitely goes somewhere!!! By the time the third chorus kicks in and the music stops... all the way to the end in which you can simply "see" Madonna sitting like a Buddha repeating "let it wash over me" like a mantra... It takes you somewhere.
