  1. I never got into either, even when it was first released. I was about 11 at the time and didn't even know it was a single because Australian video shows weren't too keen to show the video because of the bullfighting featured in it so it never got an audience here and never really did that well. I was stoked when I read in the paper that it had become a massive number one hit in America. I still have the clipping.

Sad it was never nominated for a Grammy. She was definately robbed there.

  2. I remember someone coming forward and revealing that the only reason she ditched the ponytail was because it was pulling her hair out by the follicle. I just don't believe it. As a mere male, a gay one at that I don't know very much about these things but surely heat styling that hair into pin curls night after night would be far more detrimental to overly bleached and processed hair than a ponytail that was styled pretty simply with a comb and some gel as seen in Truth or Dare. Someone enlighten me.

And Re; the 1993 MTV interview wasn't she referring to her hair falling out that year after she went from blonde to strawberry blinde/red and then blonde again hence just cutting it all off for the tour???

She's a bad girl with her hair. After those two debacles remember in 1994 when she went jet black then blonde again and showed up on Letterman in 1995 with her hair looking like shit and all dryed up once again from over bleaching hence the change of image for Something to Remember and wearing hair pieces and buns for what felt like an eternity whilst she grew it out for Evita and got it back to healthy.

  3. I've always wondered why she dyed her hair jet black and cut it so short mere months before commencing the Blond Ambition Tour. Surely she would have known she was going to destroy her hair in the process. I believe this is why she dropped the ponytail and went for the curls mid tour and not because the ponytail was pulling her hair out. It was probably falling out from all the bleaching.

  4. Love Profusion is no filler, it's effortlessly perfect Madonna pop music and sounds great played loud on good speakers.

The DW/SFL demo is dreadful, I can't stand it but the final version is truly one of her best songs and artistic statements. It should never have been a single as it's one of the most experimental and least commercial thIngs she has ever recorded much like Human Nature or Bedtime Story in that they are great album tracks and career defining songs but should never have been released as singles. At least they gave us three of her most iconic videos.

    I hope that made sense

  5. Won't we just have this issue next tour? Her tours are getting progressively bigger and bigger production and price wise so it doesn't make sense. I believe she cancelled because once she was in the middle of MDNA she realized she had bitten off more than she could chew and was exhausted. The thought of going through all that effort and spending that length of time on the road for little return financially probably horrified her hence the cancellation. I do believe MDNA totally wore her out and she did seem exhausted and over it by the time she got to South America and she was very cranky during the soundchecks and sick with the flu. She only came here in 1993 because her other markets were drying up, this time around as someone else mentioned, she had many other options. If she does cone here eventually it would have to be at the start of the tour and only because she really wants to, not for the money.

  6. Sad to see the tone of this board head south now that a couple of negative reviews have come in. There were 27 pages of absolute positivity until a couple of media outlets bashed her. Who really cares what others thInk? I'm more than happy with her creative output. She's 55 years old for fucks sake and 30 years into her career. Get over it!

  7. Fascinating, one of the best articles ever written about Madonna.

I've followed her blueprint ever since I was about 9 years of age in terms of training daily, working and practicing harder than anyone I know and maintaining my looks and health with a great diet and daily regime.

I'm 30 now and am probably fitter, healthier and younger looking than when I was a 20 year old. I have a successful career as a personal trainer and health club manager as a direct result of being inspired by her since I was such a young kid and follow a lot of the neauroscience techniques that she and this article mention as a means of creating great mInd, body and soul fluidity.

    Thanks Madonna

  8. I never ever complain about Madonna but I'm really dissapointed in the vocals. She sounds paper thin through the whole thing unfortunately. Granted I've not seen the show yet and I'm just listening to it on my little headphones. The sound quality isn't the greatest either. S&S really pumped and sounded great, this not so. GMAYL sounds great tho.

  9. Pop you are a dickhead, you don't belong here, you know nothing and your opinion is not valid nor wanted. You sound like a 15 year old who is completely out of their depth. You were not involved in the recording process of said albums so your opinion holds no weight around here among fans who have truly followed Madonna all the way. Some of us have been on this ride for 30 years, poured over every interview, followed her creative process through the quotes of her collaborators and her own interviews. We have watched the tours, the films, the interviews, ridden out the highs and lows and been there through thick and thin so don't talk like you have all the answers. You seem to have a very basic general knowledge of Madonna, clouded by the bias of being a Lady Gaga fan. Madonna has always made pop music, ever since the beginning with a Like a Prayer here or an Erotica or a Ray of Light there, albums that come about once every decade or so. Some of us enjoyed MDNA just as much as we did COADF and just because you didn't doesn't mean her work was phoned in.
