  2. She might up her game with her live performances after being humiliated by Madonna all year during 2012 and her amazing MDNA Tour. But then again every performance so far this era has been utter crap so maybe not.

  3. Would love another urban album. Some of the best work she has ever done has had urban or RnB influences Erotica, Bedtime Stories and Hard Candy.

Hard Candy just suffered from a shit name, terrible photo shoot and a couple of really generic JT and Timbo tracks. The music she did with Pharrel was brilliant and I loved the tour and image she had for the era.

  4. I've never once criticized madonna's appearance on this forum so dont put me in that group. I've been a fan for 25 years and if I want to share my opinion, I'm entitled to it. There have been several articles in Australian magazines recently making fun of the Berlin appearance and I purely and honestly spoke up because I don't like seeing Madonna made fun of. I was only just saying a few weeks back at the SP premier how great she looks and I've defended and stuck up for her as mentioned for 25 years. Her marriage to Guy as we now know was over for many months before the official announcement which was around the time that she showed up at the Berlin premiere of Filth and Wisdom with a drastically different looking face. You can't blindly just accuse Guy of ruining their marriage, you do not know that for sure so that's a ridiculous comment. I absolutely adore this woman, she's an amazing human being and artist and this forum exists for us to have an open discussion about whatever we please. Note that I did openly ask for everyone's opinions when I speculated about her face and I was in no way attacking her. The argument about transatlantic flights causing puffiness is just idiotic. She's been traveling like this for 30 plus years and has never appeared puffy like this during her entire career. The woman has had work done, exactly what, we don't know. Im merely expressing concern because the big cheeks are unnecessary, she's a beautiful woman and in my opinion doesn't need all this filler but each to their own and if it makes her happy and feel a bit better about her advancing years then so be it but she doesn't need it, she looked incredible in 2007 before she began tweaking her appearance and many people here have expressed their feelings regarding her appearance over the years and should feel comfortable in doing so. I don't advocate attacking her and her choices and im not one of

those fans that turn on her from time to time and complain about her output for superficial reasons or because her music doesn't suit them. I love her music, all of it and I respect and admire almost everything she does.

  5. I really dont understand her face and what she's doing to it. She was puffy as hell at the Berlin Hard Candy opening and then back to normal at the airport on her way home a couple of days later. It's obvious that the fuller cheeks are just a very temporary thing for when she's at a function or on tour etc. Does anyone have any idea what she's doing? I don't like it at all, people are laughing at her now and the media is shredding her at the moment. I just wish she would calm down with the fillers and go for a more natural look, like the MDNA tour for example or her gorgeous appearance dressed as Marlene Dietrich at the tour DVD premiere.

I worry that she's surrounded by 'yes' people who aren't honest with her for fear of losing their jobs but someone needs to say something to her. Guy Ritchie would never stand for this at all and Shea obviously unaware of the chatter regarding her appearance, otherwise she would calm it down.

  6. This was such a special time to be a fan and also it was great to experience the era and everything that came with it, videos, a tour, TV and print interviews etc. She was very, very popular at the time and the record moved 4 million copies in something like 4 weeks. The tour sold out everywhere, she was showered with awards and we got those two amazing mini concerts at Brixton and Roseland. 9 million people tuned in to watch the Brixton gig, a record at the time. She was riding the crest of a wave of critical acclaim and her popularity peaked again, much like it did in 1990.

The album itself felt so fresh and new to me and Inpressive Instant was easily my favorite track on the record, followed closely by the stomping Runaway Lover and the melancholic WIFLFAG which was easily her best ballad since the mid 90's. The only negatives for me are that it could have used a few more clubbier tracks towards

the end and we missed out on the Sasha collab. She could have easily made it a 15 track album. I was pissed that there weren't more singles and even more pissed that Impressive Instant didn't get a release, at least we got an amazing performance.

I never did like Gone or Nobody's Perfect, they are a bit boring for me, but I loved Amazing and the funky as hell Don't Tell Me. The record

sounds great played really loud on big speakers. As someone else mentioned, Music reminds me of MDNA as it does sound like a non cohesive album of tracks that stand on their own and don't always flow into each other or have a consistent theme or sound. It's still an absolutely fantastic record, not her best but it's up there.

  7. She sounds remarkably good when she belts and less so when she has to drop a register which used to be quite the opposite pre vocal lessons.

She's a shocker for not properly utilizing her backing singers like other artists do to allow for her to take a breather between lines to help carry the flow of the words and the song. She just jumps right in there and over sings everything to her own detriment.

She relied less and less on her back up after her lessons and pay Donna and Nicki which is a shame. Nowadays she's started using her backing track quite effectively which I really don't mind but I know some of you aren't too fond of it.

  8. This probably won't be popular but I'd love a modern take on Confessions where she works with one cutting edge DJ or producer and stays within the dance genre but experimental like Bedtime Story or Ray of Light and juxtaposes some mature and deep lyrics with powerful vocals against some hardcore dance music, a little like Kelis's Flesh Tones and her own Ray of Light where her singing just soars through the music and sounds beautiful but the sound is club. I think an updated Confessions and the examples i used above is probably the best way to imagine what I'm trying to say. I don't want a straight up pop record or an album of Falling Free's mixed with a few dance cuts like MDNA or Music. I want hardcore club music but without the silly lyrics.

  9. Don't get too excited guys. This sounds like made up tabloid fodder. Someone's just putting a story together because they were photographed together. As if Madonna had the time at the SP premier to be following Lindsey around whenever she felt glum. The woman spent the night working, not being a shoulder for Linsday to cry on.

  10. Some people have mentioned in other threads that they feel MDNA had it's flaws. Im interested to hear more about this as I love the tour and think it's flawless. My only gripes (and they aren't major gripes) are the criminally short versions of PDP and Vogue and the misplaced Majorette section. I feel the Vogue section would have been better and would have continued the edgy, stylish and cinematic feel of the opening section. Imagine her coming out with Vogue after all that darkness. The tour could have closed with Majorette and then a quick costume change for Celebration. Just my two cents worth. Everything else is amazing, visuals, costumes, choreography, themes and style is incredibly well done and detailed.

    Her best tour.
