.....To be honest, I think what's happening is that they looked at the European Boxscores, which are clearly down from Sticky, and they feel that the demand in Australia may not be there and she may not make that much $$$ to justify the trek.
that could be true, but if it is, it's stupid, how are they going to know what kind of sales they are going to get if they dont even put up the tickets. Guy knows Australians were buzzing about this when the tour press release went out...hell even when Smirnoff's T&C's were shown for the Dance competition and it said "must be able to travel to the following countries...Australia, New Zealand" everyone downunder was spreading it like wildfire and the tour hadn't even been officially announced at that point.
I can't see how that is a valid reason, or a business decision solely based on what they think might now sell in this territory. Where are you going to have the best chance of selling out, Countries that saw you on your last 5 tours? or Countries that have either never seen you, or you haven't been to in 20 years and they have been begging you to come back ever since??
I feel LNAU/NZ know a lot more than they are saying, I mean please bitch "We are constantly in the process of tentatively planning for the "what if" scenarios and we heard what you heard" STFU! "something" was in the works and then it got changed. Damn just stop bullshitting us, no one's gonna chop your head off if you just straight out tell us "Sorry you guys are not a priority, we'll sell out but it's not enough money for us"...or whatever the fuck the reason is. You'd be amazed at how people will move on when you tell them the truth and not treat them like idiots.

....And yes I agree the last minute nature of it makes it a little harder but I'm just pointing out that it's not the most impossible thing ever to fly to see her if you really really want to. It just comes down to how badly you want to see her. It seems fairly ridiculous to fly all around the world to see a pop concert but we have been baited with the idea for so long now that alot of us want it THAT bad.

I don't agree with that. If you want it bad enough you will save every cent and go. It's about $1500 to fly to NYC. How much money does one spend on things they don't need through the year? For most people, alot.
If not, sell some stuff. Sell your car. She's worth it.
But this news/revelation broke too late for many that could have saved up from the time of the Tours announcement (which I have done several times in the past) but didn't because they were under the impression from various Live Nation/Guy Oseary propaganda that she would tour Australia this time for sure.
For those of us that budget 6 to 12 months ahead it's too late. Personally I'm over it now, I'm not angry, actually happy that the $1500 I saved for tickets alone can go to other things like my auto electrician (no I wont be selling my car for her 2 hour show LOL)
I don't believe it was your intention, but it comes off as a little insensitive to tell fans here in this thread right now, that they should just save up and go overseas now if they really want it bad enough. If they were in the position to do that, I'm sure they would be doing that now rather than voicing their disappointment on this forum - It's like the wrong crowd to say that to.

I think the problems is we dont know wtf is going on to begin with. was there a second leg? was it cancelled? has it been delayed and extended? No one is saying anything.

I mean only some Aussie news outlets posted the news but did not referred to any formal sources at all...
It's just hard to fathom the idea that she added a new & surprising show in Paris and yet cancelled the Aussie ones on the same day....

I am from Southeast Asia, and I flew all the way from Thailand to Abu Dhabi just to see her live.
Yeah but you planned it dude, the majority were going with the Official word from the press release and waited. Now its just too late for many people to rearrange things to get time off work, AND pay for flights and hotels......Im pissed that we were led on by their official word. I dont hate the woman Im sure she has her reasons and personal Im fine she not coming, I can pay more of my mortgage off - but cock tease your fans like that, thats just fuckin rude.

I simply don't get why M's tour interludes are usually much better than her actual music videos
I was thinking the same thing - this video is on point, it looks amazing and more importantly highlights the actual lyrics for me more than Ive ever had listening to just the song itself, which ironically is what videos should but often dont.

wow it does look smaller even though clearly the actual stage is the same size.....but I like the arena, Id prefer that over a stadium lookin forward to reports and videos on this one.

I love the mix - never cared much for BTW as a song, but not because of the EY comparison I just didn't like the song, but this mash up I love. It just sounds good together which is partially I suspect why she did it, whether its meant to be a diss or not she wouldn't have included it if it didn't work well together.

But what is anyone expecting from a tour book? From the Virgin Tour onwards M's have followed the same format. Whenever I go to see someone in concert from singers to comedians, I just don't bother as they are all have lame books - just a few pictures and dull text.
Has anyone got any examples of a good tourbook?
yeah I know what you mean, but the same format?, from a visual artist like her and one that is famous for saying "I dont like to repeat myself". I mean its not a big deal I know but it just lacks imagination like she passed it off to whatever company designs it and said 'just use your standard template'.
like some have said RIT was a little different, similar field but different use of layout. And I know its all about her, but I wouldn't object to a few images of her crew like the Blond Ambition tour book....just something a little more interesting than Outtakes from my video and sketches of hands praying.
