I once got into an argument with a delusional little monster who tried to claim that Cher was the original gay icon and that Madonna copied her career after Cher, including having a gay audience
This idiot then went on to say that back ib the 60s Cher was performing in the South and she spoke up for gay rights and then was arrested on stage by the police and the gays in the audience were rioting.
THIS NEVER HAPPENED
For one Cher was singing with Sonny back then, not solo (the little monster probably didn't even know that) and secondly Cher didn't even MENTION or ACKNOWLEDGE her gay audience until the mid 90s after Chas came out
And Cher herself admitted that she was uncomfortable with her daughter being gay at first
So much for the so called gay rights activist from the 60s who was arrested for gay rights LOL!
As I remember, 2 years ago She and Chaz had a distance to each other, because Cher was still uncomfortable with it
