Is it me or so far no interviewer has asked Madonna about Eurovision?

She has done some interviews since it happened but it's never one of the subjects.

I've noticed this too. I would love to hear her thoughts on it. I really doubt interviewers have no interest in asking. Seems like they were told not to mention it.

Yeah, only attached to Arianna right now cause even Taylor and Katy can’t achieve a #1 by themselves.

Swae Lee and Quavo are not streaming legends, the first has like 5-6 big songs but all of them are features and Quavo couldn’t even make his album hit #1, neither does he has a #1 on his own, only big songs but with Drake, Bieber, 1D or Dj Khaled, so the only big streaming artist is Maluma and it payed off.

    Did it?

Did she make those 3 albums just to tour?

How can a woman with the best catalog in the biz hate any songs? I say this because she doesn't sing them in their original form anyway and there are so many hits she rarely performs.

She has disliked her back catalog since ROL. She relented on Re-Invention Tour but if you notice on the tours that followed, she tends to stick to the same hits that she hates the least and makes them as unrecognizable as possible.

what do you think of the comment about her last 3 albums? surely RH has been spoiled by the leak, but I think she refers to a kind of lack of passion / creativity, isn't it? However in her future she sees only director projects lol

Well, with MDNA, she was definitely rushed. I bet she would have liked to spend more time editing W.E. but the Super Bowl was coming up, so she had to hurry up and make an album. And with Rebel Heart, she did not liked the writing camps and the leak was really devastating to her. Now with Madame X, she just made it because she was tired of waiting around for her movie to be made.

I would not be surprised if after Madame X, we don't really get a studio album (in the traditional sense) from Madonna ever again. I really wouldn't. The comments about RH and MDNA were confirmation of things a lot of us already knew.

I wouldn't go that far but I do think it will be different going forward. She will not be contractually obligated to Live Nation or Interscope and I don't see her signing a big deal like that again. So, she may focus more on things, like directing. And then later on, she can still release albums or EPs independently.

Well, I still prefer her to go in a more pop direction ultimately.  Even if radio still won't touch her.

I was a little surprised after all the talk of being inspired by Portuguese music, there weren't a few more acoustic/stripped down songs.

Yeah. I actually liked the demos of Rebel Heart more then what ended up on the album. They were more pop and she stripped a lot of that away when the leak happened. It's a shame. There's no way of knowing but I think the album would have been much better off releasing it as is. Not sure why she felt the need to redo all of them.

I expected more acoustic tracks on Madame X too but I think they will be live, like Crave.

Well she partnered with artists who had very big streaming  numbers -- Maluma, Quavo, Swae Lae.  Obviously it didn't really work, but at least I personally really like all the songs.

Yeah, it didn't. If you look at the streaming number of those artists, they don't match to the Madonna collaborations. There seems to be collected thinking of those fan bases to ignore Madonna. For example, it makes no sense that Maluma's videos get hundreds of millions of views while Medellin gets 31 million.

She just said that 2 of her favourite songs on the record are God Control and Extreme Occident! 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌 Extreme Occident is a very personal song for her! I loved the way she explained it.

I wonder if Extreme Occident and Looking For Mercy were too personal and intimate, so they were only put on the Deluxe where the most dedicated fans would hear to it instead of the general public. That's the only way I can wrap my brain around omitted these gems from the regular edition.

Acceptance has moved so quickly that guess some younger generation don't t recognize how important Madonna was when she spoke out.

Well, the younger generation doesn't recognize anything that happened before they were born. Some say it has always been that way and that's true. But it seems more extreme nowadays.
