the person who reviewed MDNA from the stylist (by not looking I could tell it was a woman) she is very, very annoying. filled with backhanded compliments. as if to say..the music is good, but madonna is old, so we have to throw in some sexist & ageist remarks there.. and of course a bit of botox.

I love I'm Addicted and hope it's real! Not sure about the other, too. The production sounds a little bit 'cheap'.
The guy who reviewed the album also said Beautiful Killer and I Fucked Up were his favourite songs. Judging from these instrumentals they really don't sound like standouts or anything super special. -
Based on what's been written about the album, I believe I will love the bonus tracks Beautiful Killer and I Fucked Up. And I will then HATE the fact that they are not part of the standard album knowing that many people will miss out on them.

but everybody was in love with Hollywood when it appeared! I remember even Britney loved the song! and same with GI2M! people talking about gay comas! the Vogue of 2008!...I think they were well chosen as a second single:what I couldn´t understand was AL as the first (second...i want go there) instead of Nothing fails (which a lot of people, including me, loved, and it was presented as something similar to LAP).And, what I still can understand is, having Hollywood´s thin duke remix, how come is not that the version on the album!!!!!!
Right, I understand that. I was and am in love Hollywood, too. In fact, it's probably in my top 3 favourite M songs ever. But after radio stations didn't really embrace AL, I just think NF would have been a smarter choice after that, that's all. Hollywood is amazing but not really for clubs or whatever. The production is "minimalistic" (lack of a better word).
Anyway, this is way off topic now.
I can't wait to hear GGW in full and HOPE the part from the first leaked snippet outside her house is still part of the song. -
I don't know what it is but sometimes she has rather unusual choices for her second singles. Ok we all loved Hollywood and we all loved Give it 2 Me but they are more like third or fourth single in my eyes. After the AL scandal a single like Nothing Fails would have been better. Same with Beat Goes On, it would have been a bigger hit than GI2M. What about Bad Girl, she wanted it as the second single after Erotica...why? I mean I love the song to death but it's not exactly 2nd single material. Or What it feels like for a girl was considered a single right after Music. So random...Don't Tell Me was the obvious follow up. Let's see how Girls Gone Wild fits into this picture after we have heard the album.

Great interview! I like when he said there's a dancey side to this album but it's not actual "dance music". That's what I love. I love to dance, but I hate typical dance/club music based in house/techno beats. I find that so boring. In recent years, what is called dance music has become so limited. You can dance to many different kinds of music.
I agree. As much I love electro and house music when I go out, I don't want a full on electro-house album by Madonna because I listen to her albums when I'm driving the car, at home or just going for a walk outside, so I like the fact that they were influenced by pop music in general which could mean anything. I believe GGW and Turn up the radio are going to be the danciest songs on the album. The snippet from B-Day Song sounded like a fun dancepop song without actually being "dance music" made for clubs. I like that.

Gosh, that was really hard and probably not accurate at all. lol
I picked Love Profusion or Hollywood because I don't see her completely ignoring that album twice in a row (ok she did the Die Another Day interlude for S&S but still....). We know she tries to pick at least one song of each album to represent her catalogue as best as possible. She has never performed these two singles live on any show ever. I think it's time for them to shine.
Celebration is pretty obvious - I believe a new remix could be the finale of the show.
I believe she could pick Skin because she spent so much time with Orbit and we know now he produced some upbeat tracks for MDNA. Skin is probably their craziest and most interesting song ever, so I can see it being performed for the first time. That would be absolutely amazing actually!
She will never perform Power of Goodbye on tour. It is too hard to sing for her.
I am absolutely clueless about Erotica and Bedtime Stories. These could really surprise us.
Having said that, I believe there is going to be at least 1 obscure gem nobody ever expected (like Lament, Beast Within, You Thrill Me and so on). I hope for The Look of Love or Gambler.

4 Minutes (even though she will probably use it as a video interlude for the expected cheerleader-themed part of the show). I wouldn't mind it as an interlude to be honest, as long as she never sings it live again.
Ray of Light - even though one of my favourite M tracks - has to go for a while.
I don't mind La Isla Bonita or Music. She always tries to completely reinvent them and they make me happy.

Why is it so important to be groundbreaking? If I were a 53yo pop icon with kids and all the $$$, being groundbreaking would be the LAST thing that I'd want to do. What's the POINT of looking for underground producers? just for the sake of doing it? I'm sorry but M's not Gaga, who always tries sooooo hard to be different. Why don't just make a fun dance record that can support the new tour? If you want Introspedonna, just put on Ray of Light and enjoy it!
She doesn't need to be groundbreaking but at least creative. Even though she is 53. And she should fucking stop asking Lourdes and Rocco for advice.

Based on the clip that we heard,"Girls Gone Wild" doesn't sound like a surefire Number One to me.I think it's gonna have a harder time than "GMAYL",at least in America.But again,that's OK.Once the tour sells out and she's adding multiple dates (which will also sellout),she'll be getting alot of positive media attention for that.
I never claimed that GGW sounds like a surefire Number One hit. I am sure they have a good reason to pick it as single 2 and not one of the Orbit tracks, so I'm very curious to hear the full song and hope it offers some surprises. If not, then it will flop too and we will never get a third single. lol

An underperforming single is not a big deal for someone like Madonna.
How do you know that? We know she has a huge ego and we also know she is getting pissed off at the Gaga comparisons. I think M would love to have a worldwide #1 hit song and just tell all haters "There you go, I'm still hot".
It IS hard for her to get this much deserved 13th #1 single in the USA because of the weird and unlogical chart system with radio plays and shit but what about Europe? People usually buy anything from her, even the mediocre Celebration charted well. They should just get to the 2nd single asap and pretend that GMAYL was just a buzz/winter-trifle single especially for the Super Bowl.

I can't see her filming a show in South America again. I agree with Suedehead's prediction. New York, Paris or one Australian show.

I'll be in Amsterdam on 7th July, I am skipping all German dates because the crowd usually sucks here. So I'm very excited for my first Dutch concert experience. The arena they are currently building looks interesting and I am looking forward to seeing M perform in front of about 15,000 people only (as opposed to 50,000 the last time I saw her).

I'm really glad about the positive reviews so far from the press and wonder how the rate will be for MDNA at Metacritic in a few weeks. Confessions and Music got 80/100, American Life only 60 and Hard Candy 65. Would be great if she would reach 80 again.
