I can't believe this show is getting bad reviews at all. It's magnificent (and I haven't even seen it in person.)
I LOVE 'Hung Up' on this show too. One of the best reinventions she's done.
I do agree with you except on "hung up", you must see it live to realise this remix is dreadfull, it could have been a huge crowd pleaser in the 1rst section & work pretty well with the visual, but she choose this weird remix which totally kill the song. Sorry just mine & my friends opinion

That has nothing 2 do with it, she hasn't gotten across the board great reviews 4 her shows in Europe since RIT. A lot of critics
find her shows cold & mechanical. Plus her use of backing tracks & weak vocals have been a main factor of disdain.
& 4 the record MDNA got mixed reviews in most European countries.
Well to be fair, since the Blond Ambition, she's got the same type of negative reviews : weak vocals / lipsynching, too mechanical / not spontaneous, no interaction with the crowd... But I could care less about reviews, I was obsessed with that in the past, but after 30 years of carreer, I really think she has nothing to prove to anybody. People who missed the Madonna wagon, well they just missed the oportunity to follow one of the most fascinating star of this 30 last years.

I was in stade de France on saturday night. I wasn't expecting something in particular, something between the S&S and BAT, obviously from average to masterpiece, but damn, mdna show is an amazing piece of art.
The first section got this weird dark vibe, the background screen is amazing, the cathedral with changing colours is powerfull (when I think that gaga built a real castle, for what). The opener is one of her best & GGW got everybody singing & dancing. The material girl moment was so cool... The weak points are revolver (this song is bad) & hung up, she should have done the original, the remix is awfull!!!
The second section is pure perfection!!!!!! the majorette outfits, the background screens the dancing!!! OPYH is amazing live. But the highlight was her speech. What she said was powerfull, real & so true.
The 3rd section is pure old school Madonna, during HN she flashed her boob & ass, but everybody knows that, but Like a Virgin was a magical moment. When she was lying on the floor, singing & masturbating herself at the same time, then she was breathing very loud like she was having an orgasm, it's like the madonna I felt in love was back, my Madonna!!!! Forget about the awfull S&S, welcome back madonna!!!!!!
The last section is pure energy, I would have prefer an old hit instead of IS, but the LIKE A PRAYER performance is everything, all the stadium stood up & sang... Celebration is a good ending, but a bit cold after like a prayer... If it wasn't for these 2 or 3 details, this show would have been pure perfection. But well, it's in my top 2 already (I saw every madonna show since the Girlie Show)
I was with 3 girlfriends, who aren't fans & saw her for the first time, Madonna won. 2 of them want to see mdna again soon (as 1 is flight attendant, she's going to book flight where Madonna play).
I'm already booking a golden circle for Nice, me & my best friend, I must see the show closer, I must see her again.

I love Madonna, but hate this setlist... Revolver, celebration (ending?), candy shop & human nature... And, if I understand correctly, we will get "edited" versions of papa don't preach & like a prayer, not even the full song... Damn she should do an extended version of candy shop to piss me off more

They say it's come fro MTV News (????) from a reliable source. They just ask themselves where are ganb banb & open your heart... As every source is confirming them.

I don't think this is a "short" concert (about the same in songs number as S&S). Still, the last section looks to be missing a song or two (please let it be "Everybody"). Sad not to see MDNA's Love Spent and Falling Free too.
Personally, I don't have the need to see a song from each studio album but if she is going to do Candy Shop and Human Nature AGAIN, they better be mindshatering versions who shit on their S&S versions.
I'm a Sinner ???? Celebration ?? this final is far from being a crowd pleaser... Please, with all her back catalogue, she can't just ending with real catchy crowd pleaser... or with something special, the keep it together on BAT?? I don't think Celebration Benny Benassi Mix is something special or theatrical... Sometimes, I really don't understand

God this album just gets better and better. I never put my favourite music on my ipod that way I never get tired of it, pretty smart huh
You're lucky, I wish I was like you regarding mdna... The truth is I don't play it often... Except the begining of I'm addicted sometimes. I'm a bit sad because it should have been a big madonna return, and we only have a good electro album, good, but not enough for the general audience who just ignore it.

Yesterday I had a sunday lunch with my mum and sister, they know I like Madonna, and they asked me why her last album was a total flop? If the info that Mdna is underperforming went to my family's ears, it means that the general audience is believing this "come back" is a flop, even if it's not really the thruth. Same for the concert, here in Europe all the stadiums aren't already sold out, it's not a big deal and it will be in time, but on the other hand gaga is selling out her concerts within minutes, 10 exactly for her london stadium, and I bet Paris is folowing london... She does in france the same venue than madonna, all the medias gonna dished about gaga selling the same stadiums in minutes while madonna in months, and there you have another example of how the general public is going to think that Madonnna's concert is a flop. I'm so angry, I like Mdna, but really, all the singles were so lame, and it's like the album is over right now, the third single won't save the album, I hope I'm wrong. She really should have spent the same energy on her music than on her damned WE
