  1. Because she's not Janet Jackson.

The Janet type of medleys are tacky, i always thought of them as an easy way for her to perform reduced replica's of the videos without presenting anything remotely interesting or new while doing so...

Besides, i bet some of the ppl asking for medleys are the same ones that bitched at some classic hits being shortened on tour a la PDP on MDNA.

  2. Well it's a pretty common thing I think.

Frankly I prefer that over all the continuity issues on MDNA.

    Yeah, i agree.

I actually like when they purposely mix shots from different shows with different outfits sometimes, she's been doing that ever since the virgin tour(during over and over there are a couple of shots from behind where she's wearing the black jacket and they cut to closer shots where she's not wearing the jacket), ciao italia is full of things like this, but they respect the continuity of the performance...

On MDNA there are several parts where they use different shows and continuity is not respected at all...oh well

  3. Terius Nash is The Dream. One of the biggest record producers out there. Not some randomer at all.

Could Queen of been a left over from another project maybe?

Could be, i'm inclined to believe that they dropped the track because of the full album leak and like some have said, the lyrics are different than the rest, maybe she felt that the media was going to spin it in some negative way...i remember some fans freaking out saying that she's retiring, etc

  4. Of course that at some point one year ago they thought that UB was gonna be the first single, or at least Diplo believed that, then the leak came and they changed minds.

Reports by drowned madonna and madonnarama i think, claimed that the lead single was going to be either UB or LFL, they later posted that the decision was made for LFL to be the first single, it was before the leaks i think.

Regarding Queen, i find it hard to believe it was never considered for inclusion since the first tracklists posted by amazon germany, uk , etc included queen and autotune baby, just like the madonna.com tracklist.

I cant remember exactly the date the super deluxe leaked but i think that's how the super deluxe esition was first intended to be...

Why they changed it? Beats me

  5. So following the actual Rebel Heart album release, I've been going back and listening to these demos that never made the album.

I really love Trust No Bitch. It does sound very unpolished, but very good.

Anybody else like "Trust No Bitch"? I love going back and listening to these demos! It's like Christmas!

I love it! The lyrics and the way she interprets the song kinda remind me of Act of contrition...

  6. Yep the CT dancers told us in London they had to go to Wembley Arena early one day during the tour cos they were gonna film Jump in the afternoon with cameras on the stage throughout. Something that wouldn't have worked during the live shows!

It's the one thing i don't like that much on this dvd...

I love Madonna's face when she interacts with the audience and she feeds from that energy, and some of the close ups on the dvd look kind of weird, most notably the first close up when she emerges from the disco ball, it looks a bit staged.

I remember on S&S they shot the first 2 days the more general takes, away from the stage, last 2 shows they did the close ups, i have to say that the dates they shot the close ups, the cameras were pretty annoying, maybe that's why she sometimes films close ups without the audience.

  7. Jamesy explained a few months ago that both the NJ and Boston BAT shows were given to HBO prior to the Nice broadcast, and that's where the leaks came from.

    Here's what he wrote:

"In the case of Boston & New Jersey - they surfaced not from WB or Madonna - but from HBO. Both those shows had been given to HBO in 1990 in advance of their Nice broadcast - and they leaked out.

For the Houston BA show that leaked (2nd night of the USA tour) there is a story that this came from the concert venue who had kept a copy of the show. I don't know about that..."

  8. But Diplo or someone said last summer that they were choosing between 2 songs for the first single no? He said one of the tracks had a 90s house vibe and the other had a reggae influence.

"During an interview on the Australian tv show The Riff on Channel V, to promote the Stereosonic Music Festivl, Diplo talked Madonna and he said that the first single will come out early next year.

Diplo added that the track, produced by him, is a notorious song with a reggae/dancehall vibe."

  9. yes. the producers said, "shes just a dancer" and she was the only one who came and idd a dance routine! imagine that now? everyone would have a routine and background dancers...

I kinda felt that vibe this year at the grammys, her performance was pretty much the only big number with dancers, costumes, and that finale...

I love the way you can see everyone backstage just looking at her perform ,sort of fixated...

I also love the way shes preparing herself right before the show, totally believing in herself as an artist, focused, knowing that probably 85% of the performers there thought of her as a flash in the pan and a bimbo...it's like she totally knew what she was in for...

  10. Was there bonus material on TUD VHS?

After the credits there was a supposedly a segment featuring Hanky Panky and LAP??

    https://youtu.be/Z6mbxRPIF4Q

    I never knew

Wonder why they didn't include those perf as extras on the dvd...it's not like it's going to affect the VHS sales lol

I remember going crazy when i first saw the trailer that included some of the express yourself parts that didnt make it on the movie...

  11. maybe its been a while since U2 went to the US (you said their tour ended in 2011 but it was so long, maybe they went to the US in 2010 or 2009.)

Just checked, leg 3 of the tour ended in the US, i think it was August.

    They played arenas and stadiums...

I like them and saw them live in 2006 but i'm surprised by the huge demand there is for their shows now..8 MSG, 8 Forums, 4 in Vegas..

It's pointless to compare their tour with M:s...

The RH tour is going to make big numbers too, i'm already imagening the meltdowns if the tour ends up grossing a bit less than MDNA, even if it grosses $300M

  12. Not really. Girlie Show had Bye Bye Baby but only in certain countries, Drowned World didn't have one as the 4th single from Music never happened, Reinvention didn't have one

Rain was huge and in heavy rotation in latin america back in oct 93, i guess that it was the same in australia as the album reached #1 a year after its release.

Promos containing Amazing where sent to radios during the DWT.

    Jump during COADF.

    Miles away during S&S.

    TUTR off MDNA.

So i think they will release at least one more single.

  13. 62 already? Great. I suppose if there are more dates to be added in Asia she will finish in line with her past couple of tours. 80/90 gigs in total. And even without stadiums this time around with those prices she can still be one of the biggest box office results of 2015/2016. Are U2 doing any stadium or open air gigs on their tour?

Agreed about RH being one of the highest grossing tours of the year...

Re the number of shows, can we expect more than say 10 shows in Asia?

I know SA is probably not happening this time around, but those american shows being moved to January plus the month + gap between those shows and the first australian show give me a lil' hope still...

U2 is doing all arenas(4 Bercy, 8 MSG to name a few).

  14. Um, she did this already multiple times.

I meant promoting the tour and not the album(kinda like the 93 VMA's or the Superbowl), i'm sure she will do something, she did Ellen during the MDNA tour, 20/20 during RIT...i doubt she's even worried about it, personally i'm excited to see what she'll come out with this time, she's the ultimate performer, and even with the market saturation, im sure the RH tour will make huge numbers...

  15. Interesting. Of course it was nkm for the tour. The hotel we got in chicago the people before left the fridge full of vodka so that's how we went. I remember the belt... not sure why after so many years later I thought she did nrm. There were prob rumours or whatevs about change ups pretty common touring I guess. Nonetheless. Nkm far better than nrm.

    Found this:

Nothing Really Matters was meant to follow Nobody Knows Me with a similar choreography (eventually some steps are used by Madonna). Jamie King advised taking the track off, because two solo perfomances in a row with the conveyor belt could be kinda tiring, then Frozen replaced, as a break of the dancey segment. The glittery corselet segment was meant to feature 4 songs. The video background to Nothing Really Matters would be the one used on NKM, with the lyrics and for the original NKM perfomance, they would use the Aviddiva remix video of Nobody Knows Me, another reason to drop it, because Madonna thought it was too self-celebrating.

  16. Are the prices really that much higher in the US this time around to make such a difference?

I think it's lack of hype, i don't believe it's due to the lack of hits, MDNA didn't have a hit either(i know technically it did, but i doubt GMAYL made the GP want to see her show)...

A big performance on national television could do the trick i believe...i'm sure most shows will be sold out in the end...
