1. OMG THIS!!!!!! When youve got to apologise for being born in the 90s and not being there since the beginning. Not my fault my parents met in 1989. :lmao:

Born in the 90's WTF? I'm talking about about buying She's So Unusal on cassette instead of The First Album with my hard earned pocket money that only allowed 1 cassette purchase per year ;) I was late to the Madonna scene and did not become a fan until Like A Virgin! Your parents probably should of had sex earlier to catch the Madonna bug :)

  2. Nana, the Real Queen...450 albums released, 2,000 songs recorded-----------> w-h-a-t-e-v-e-r :laugh:

    450 albums!!!...fuck...

I'm sorry Ivy, but I do not count Nana for this matter.

And hasn't Celine sold more than Mariah? think also Whitney?

That just ageist and BBC conspiracy talk! Just because Nana has been recording since before Christ, we should not discount her numbers!

  3. In essence she should only perform 3 staples LFL, GT, UB with elobarate dance routines, backdrops etc and then have 5 interchangeable songs from RH performed each night with "basic" changeable routines. This way all songs from the album can be performed depending on her mood each night, benefits the fans who attend multiple nights and the general public who really won't give a shit because they want to hear the hits, and Madonna does not get so bored so quickly.

  4. O'h Ivy, Madonna does not look like an old lady or slutty Grandma. Also, how is her music flopping when it is was the biggest selling album worldwide last week. Amazing effort - without radio support as well.

Not that she looks like a grandma ( perish the thought :) ) but grandma sex. looking at sexuality from an elderly ( not age specific ) persons perspective ( think of Sam from Sex and the city ) rather than a youthful perspective which we are constantly bombarded with, and is just plain boring now, cough sex tapes and Kardashians. Think along the lines of recent her tit flash photo, but making a whole book, but tastefully done of course. Something to shake up the system, because unfortunately Rebel Heart ain't really shaking things up except for us fans.

  5. NO to a reprint, just means all us who brought the original in 92 lose its value :(

YES to SEX II. It's like when you see those porn adds: would you fuck this old lady tonight? and you giggle thinking that is someone's slutty Grandma being a slut :)

Gods knows her music is flopping and not reaching the masses so what would be the harm, but doing it from a geriatrics point of view that sex and being a slut does not stop once you reach a certain age. It would be the last taboo demolished.

  6. She sticks to the same tried and tested markets because that they know they can charge top dollar for tickets. They are are very affluent cities with people with a lot of disposable income.

And what are Australians and Asian folk, peasants on minimal wages?

You don't hear us crying poor like the Greeks, Spanish, Portugese etc or whatever those loser countries are needing billions of dollars to bail them out because there countrymen love welfare more than working, and politicians who cannot manage a budget. Every other major star comes to these shores and makes millions off of us, and charging top dollar. Madonna and Guy are just ignorant :)

  7. Two other reasons;

Rebel Heart is a bit of a sales flop, not really connecting with the general public

Over saturation of Europe and America. There are millions of places around the world she could have been touring and she generally sticks to the same itinerary with a couple of odd ball dates. Madonna / Guy should purchase one of those world globes and realize there is possibilities and fortunes beyond US and Europe. What general person ( not us loon fans ) in Europe / US wants to continually attend ( and can afford) Madonna concerts, every couple of years.

PS, Australia is just below the tropic of Cancer or Capricornon on the world globe.

  8. This is so hard for me, idk if I can come up with ten right off the top of my head.....

    Nothing Fails

    In This Life

    I'd Rather Be Your Lover

    Little Star

    One More Chance

    Be Careful

    I Deserve It

    Superstar

    Best Friend

    I Fucked Up

Only a couple of those I truly dislike, the others I'd have to say I just like less than other songs.

You almost got it right. I would take out Nothing Fails ( glorious song ) and replace it with Hey You. Take out Be Careful ( more Ricky than Madonna ) and replace with Incredible

  9. Who's That Girl live from Ciao Italia is the best thing from that concert and the biggest crowd pleaser. Can't believe she has ignored it for so long :(

Aside from into the groove, I get the impression Madonna generally hates her soundtrack songs ( bar Evita)

  10. Me too! Bourke Street JB!

What's everyone doing for concert tickets?

I'm with Live Nation & Madonna.com, but thinking the ticket outlets will probably have the best seats......

Hmmmmm......I'm feeling nervous about not getting tickets. Especially if she's doin Arenas, I can't imagine her doing many concerts ala' Pink'!

I remember the good old days of Virgin Records and HMV down Bourke Street who always treated every Madonna release like it was one of the 10 commandments. The Erotica release at midnight was like the running of the bulls stampede in Spain. And now I have been reduced to going to Big W to see if they have a single copy of the super deluxe edition :( I hope I don't get mugged in aisle 3!

  11. When Desperate Housewives' Felicity Huffman made her Broadway debut in David Mamet's Speed-the-Plowin 1988, she made an interesting discovery in her dressing room: A thong belonging to Madonna. "I was like, 'This is Madonna's underwear," she tells MoreMagazine in its September issue. So what did she do? She promptly tried it on! "Of course, it didn't fit me," she says.

C'mon now, like any of us who would stumble upon a used Madonna g-string would not give it a quick whiff, and try it on without all the necessary infection control precautions. Felicity deserves bonus points for her actions.

  12. Ok I'm bumping this one to ask my fellow Aussie fans is there anywhere here that sells the super deluxe version?

I was given the deluxe one by my partner but was disappointed it wasn't the super deluxe version & was told that they didn't sell the super deluxe version here WTF?! I didn't believe them & went online & they're right JB only sells deluxe?

Have we been ripped off or do you think if she announces concert dates then they will sell it to cash in?

Ditto! After a cunts day at work I fast paced it to JB with 10 minutes to spare and all they had was the 19 track edition. Like WTF?

No vinyl, no standard edition, no super deluxe edition, no advertisements, just the 19 track cd shoved under M/Madonna section. Even Kylie's latest piece of shit got ten times more lovin'.

When is the super deluxe or vinyl out in Oz?

Guy O, Interscope and JB, you have done it again!

  13. First article:

    https://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/entertainment/a/26478032/madonna-set-to-tour-australia/

    Madonna set to tour Australia

Madonna is set to tour Australia for the first time in 23 years.

The pop icon is set to launch her Rebel Heart world tour in Miami in late August before bringing it Down Under early next year, US music bible Billboard reports today.

“In early 2016, Madonna will take Rebel Heart to Asia and Australia, with those dates expected to be announced by the end of March,” Billboard said.

The 56-year-old last toured Australia with The Girlie Show in 1993 and has not returned despite promising to bring her critically acclaimed stage shows back in 2006, 2009 and 2012.

Her return visit to Australia will also see her fans get up close and personal with the star for the first time as Madonna is playing arenas rather than stadiums.

“She has never played in Southeast Asia, and she hasn't been in Australia or New Zealand in probably 25 years," Live Nation's Global Touring division chairman Arthur Fogel told Billboard.

"It's kind of bizarre when you think about it, that a superstar like that hasn't been to a pretty regular touring area for 25 years."

The tour will be Madonna’s fifth partnership with Live Nation's Global Touring division, which has produced more than $1 billion in Boxscore grosses, with 7.8 million tickets sold to 289 shows. She is the top female touring artist in the world.

The trek is in support of her latest album Rebel Heart, which is released in Australia on Friday and features the lead single Living for Love.

The album has been shrouded in controversy because of leaks which led to the arrest of Adi Lederman, an aspiring Israeli singer who has been indicted on hacking charges.

Lederman was arrested in Tel Aviv last month as part of a joint investigation with America's FBI into the hacking scandal, which prompted the pop superstar to release a slew of her new songs early after unfinished copies emerged on the internet.

It's nice of Arthur Fogel, her touring manager, to note that Madonna has not been to Australia AND New Zealand for probably 25 years :) well at least it's somewhat correct considering she has never been to New Zealand :)

  14. I remember in 1993 they had fully assigned seats everywhere even on the ground (except maybe the golden circle which I wasnt in). I remember the security were really narky and wouldnt let anyone stand on the seats, and wouldnt even let people stand out in the aisles. I was about half way back and (being short) could barely see a thing the whole show.

So whatever happens, Im going to try for as close up front as I can get. Hopefully they do something for the long run fans who have waited so long, not just leave us to race for tickets with everyone else. (And not just for ICON members, as we let our membership lapse years ago and then missed the cutoff).

I remember, Madonna even complained about security at one of her Melbourne shows for being assholes :)
