  1. People keep saying this as fact .. is there a reliable source? Maybe they mean 13 shows in Australia (unlikely, but wishes).

That reliable source being a Dingo of course.

First the " reliable" sources stated that it was: March that we would get an announcement, but postponed due to mosquito season; then it was April- just waiting to see if South East Asia is able to provide Madonna with her favorite brand of Sweet and Sour sauce; then it was May - just waiting to see if Australia can provide Madonna with HP sauce as she hates BBQ sauce obviously.

There are more " reliable" sources in this thread then fans at a Janet Jackson concert.

Here's a nice thought, how bout we post dates, venues, cities and seating arrangements when their FACTUAL!

  2. No, you have it all wrong. She is a comedian and reporter and it is meant to be funny while also demonstrating her love for Madonna. She does not really think Madonna is her mother, it is her way of adding humour to the story. However her love and respect for Madonna shines through and that is what she is talking about.

Oh Jazzy, I think Australian Humour is lost on many people though :)

I had tears by the time I got to the end of her letter :)

  3. LAV sometimes pops up on lists, as does the debut. (TB has, too, but less so than those).

But this list is only covers the last 30 years so excludes those two albums unfortunately. Debut would have made the list for sure ( and deservedly so ) as it has the cool factor amongst hipster tri-hards, unlike her other albums.

It is all pretty much Alternative / RnB based, with very little regards to other genres :( but not too bad a list regardless, minus the Janet album, which bar 3 songs is a piece of shit.

  4. It's shits all over her previous third release singles ( turn down the radio and miles go away ).

Despite its juvenile lyrics it has a beat that is awesome ( reminds me of sega master system games like sonic ) and the Nikki factor- has potential for a hit.

And Heart Break City is 4th single ( best song on the album ) and it has the word: fucked, in it, which should not be beeped out when released as next single to radio.

  5. It's Vaseline. In the old days when celebrities had control over photographs/ ers, often Vaseline or sheer stockings would be put over lenses to give youthful and unblemished appearances. Now they don't have that control they just put Vaseline directly onto their faces ( because a stocking would be too obvious ) when being photographed to give the appearance of youth and unblemished skin.

  6. The one time Madonna was right and the record company was wrong with single releases :) MDNA must hold the Guiness world record for the album with the worst released singles, whilst gorgeous album tracks got shafted. I don't know of any other album where the four worst songs got released as singles ( including superstar in South America ).

Kurt is right with his x4 choices that should have been singles.

  7. Why do people want Freddy back? I doubt he would do better for Madonna now. I mean, he is old school and the industry has changed a lot.

How ageism. Silly old school folks have no idea how to handle tweeter, iTunes, billboard spotify charts, and Instagram -so so so difficult! I wish Freddie would get off dial up Internet and go to wifi. He is currently managing Shakira on dial up internet and look how brilliantly she is doing!

The fact is Freddie knew how to manage Madonna the superstar, Guy O knows how to manage Madonna the bank account, and Live Nation know how to manage flop releases like Rebel Heart.

  8. Who's That Girl: 4 UK stadium shows (1 Leeds, 3 London)

Blond Ambition: 3 UK stadium shows (all London)

Girlie Show: 2 UK stadium shows (both London)

Drowned World: 6 UK arena shows (all London)

    Re-Invention: 8 UK arena shows (6 London, 2 Manchester)

Confessions: 9 UK shows (1 stadium show in Wales and 8 arena shows, all in London)

Sticky (Leg 1): 2 UK stadium shows (1 Wales, 1 London)

Sticky (Leg 2): 3 UK arena shows (2 London, 1 Manchester)

MDNA: 3 UK shows (1 park in London; 1 arena in Birmingham; 1 stadium in Scotland)

Rebel Heart: 5 UK arena shows (2 in London, 1 Birmingham, 1 Manchester and 1 Scotland)

Now I'm not saying it's great or anything but it's comparable to Drowned World and Re-Invention certainly, which is still okay. :bad:

Not wanting to start a Saint Patricks day war between Madonna fans and Protestants, but does the above also include Ireland?

  9. :rotfl:

And to add to that unless your parents were born in the U.K. there's a whole complicated process of getting residency there. They don't just let any old 19 year old bogan move on over

The U.S. would be even harder unless you won the green card lottery.

Incorrect, they let both Scott and Charlene, who were just 19 year old bogans into the UK, so it can't be all that hard, or their standards too high.

And Martini, fret not, Australian Sarcasim is lost on many, I thought your comment was hilarious!

  10. 7/10 was it her best: no, but far from her worst. I would put it up there with LFL. I like the idea, I liked that it was not some sloppy ballad type shit clip, beautiful dancing, I liked the colour schemes ( would have looked terrible in black and white like the teaser) the references to her past, animals in a clip are always cool and I think the concept worked well along with the song.

Things I did not like: reference to NY, LA, Paris and London: get over yourself, there are more then these four cliched, boring and predictable cities when the world ends- buy an atlas woman :). Steam punk is a little bit old and cliched now. whacky kids in oz have been doing that shit for the past 5 years, a bit like zombies, goth etc. would have preferred her wearing her Joan Of Arc Costume.

  11. Maybe she's become too accessible? like, she tours pretty often and I feel like people saw her many times, thus why the decline? Not that I mind her touring, thank god she does because as far as I'm concerned I could see her every single day and never get tired.

Smartest post so far in a thread full of ding bats ;) !

Madonna has shot herself in the foot by touring the same markets ( every tour going to fucking America and Europe ) whilst starving other regions. A bit like lady gaga, people get over it ( or cant continue to afford it ) after a while when their is no break. Unlike local stars who have / can only predominantly play in their own specific regions, Madonna is an international star of the highest caliber who should have thought about a more varied tour schedule, so as not to over saturate the same markets. The perfect example of a tour schedule is South America.

Madonna should probably give Kylie or Mariah a call and see of she can borrow some of those black curtains they use to blockout unsold sections of arenas ;)
