  1. Yeah. Theres a couple of arenas with the shorter catwalk to fit.People have had a go at me for mentioning it saying im wrong but the seats behind the heart were on sale. It will be to scale, its so small everyone will have a great view. I think if she had the main stage catwalk in Birmingham the heart stage would go through the wall and end up by the loos and where to buy chips.

Again, people say im wrong but it was smaller (you wouldnt notice) in Birmingham last time. I was there, it was! BUT it makes it just as fantastic, she isnt a dot 10 miles away. We didnt get the motel (oops, they forgot to tell Madge) and everything was exactly the same just a few meters shaved off here and there. She likes smaller crowds so she was in quite a good mood and sang live on songs which she usually lips. (Maybe its because she is more close up). Glasgow looks REALLY interesting. The stage must go to the chip van. There must be 2 stages like last time. (now everybody has a go at me). x

Madonna probably has minders who have to remind her it's the smaller stage tonight sweetheart, so only take 28 steps during Pappa Don't Preach instead of 42, otherwise you will fall off :)

As all arenas around the world are of different sizes in lengths and wiidth, as well as purposes ( an ice hockey arena is going to be bigger then a tennis arena etc) you would assume she would have x2 different size stages and adjust show accordingly ( nothing major or fans to get worked up about ).

  2. Napoleon, when I saw that article in the Herald Sun about Madonna from yesterday's paper, I laughed with delight. It seemed to be as if it was taken directly from this section of Madonnanation ! Love to think that is true - the power this forum has. Re her tour - already the buzz is everywhere. Feels like we are now part of it all which is exciting. I often feel disappointed that I have only seen her live once considering what a major Madonna loon I am. Bring the concerts on !

I particularly enjoyed the photo that went with the article. True artistry :)

They just copied and posted ipex's exact post. Some mole at the herald sun obviously visits Madonnanation ???

  3. Are you sure about no allocated seating? I went and saw that monstrosity Mariah in a winery last year in Perth (don't judge, it was for my boyfriend's benefit) and it was all allocated seating.

FORSHAME! You will probably get banned now ;) poor Mariah, I think she cops a bit of a bad rep around here :) I think they may vary? I watched Portishead at Werribee Mansion ( as part of festival though not technically a winery ) and that was sitting / standing around drunk, however fleetwood macs upcoming winery tour / a day on the green is allocated seating? I would hope Madoona ( if it actually happens ) would be no allocated seating as it would just add so much more atmosphere, and her music lends to cramped and dangerous conditions :)

  4. Winery :rotfl:

    It'll be a laugh.

Do no other countries do winery shows? It's not like Madonna will be performing in a cellar to 14 drunks ( that's more a Kylie and Janet thing ). It's a winery, on beautiful sceneic land, sunshine, no allocated seating ( yay ) and you can generally get around 10,000 drunks, who would even appreciate a late start. What's not to love :)

And if she was smart, she could promo / sell her dads wines on the days.

  5. Are the shows still in "Arenas" ?

I could see the "winery" show being at Hanging Rock.

Lots of great artists play there.

But Miranda, I mean Madonna don't wander into the forest/rocks… ;)

HANGING ROCK would be to die for and possibly the ultimate venue for Rebel Heart tour! If Rolling Stones, Springsteen and Rod Stewart can play sell outs to 20,000 so could Madonna.

Winery tours are the best, everyone is drunk and would be no complaints of starting late or song lists ;)

  6. OK, so big news. Lots has changed since my last post… an agreement has been reached and she'll now be giving us a proper tour. She will now be visiting four cities - Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth - and will be in Australia for almost a month. At this stage, the tour dates will be announced on Tuesday, June 9. *Maybe* earlier but definitely no later than that. It's happening! :)

Cool, do you any other info, stadiums vs arenas, costs, which month?

  7. I think part of the problem is Madonna probably only remembers half her hits :) . I say 2/3 hits and 1/3 RH ( must include Iconinc and Heart Break City :) . It would be nice if she sang Who's That Girl instead of La Isla, Bedtime Story instead of Human Nature, Dress you Up instead of Like AVirgin etc.

  8. I agree with you about the astronomical prices being a worry but what is it with all the downplaying of Madonna continually in this thread. It is just making this thread more painful to read than necessary. Can't we wait until we know for sure she won't be touring Australia ( IF that indeed happens ) before all the gloom and doom sets in. Saying Madonna is a massive massive risk is making out that she is some kind of no-body. Prince and Bruce Springsteen toured here with great success and Madonna was always more popular than both of them here and they are also superstars. Don't give up yet.

Not to be a negative nancy ;) but Prince, Springsteen, AC/DC and Rolling Stones tour Australia with every world tour they have. They all have an impeccable touring reputation in Oz, instant sell outs in both arenas and stadiums, are known to play both hits and misses, and can charge whatever they want due to the aforementioned. Madonna has done herself a deservice ( and rather insightless in hindsight ) by not touring here not matter the excuse and broken promises.

I think If she keeps her prices reasonable ( may even need to adjust tour to stadiums for this? )and makes a point of playing both hits and misses, it should sell out ok.

  9. This is what's available for London night 2. I mean it just boggles my mind that you can even buy tix next to the heart stage still. And THAT is why this date is advertised at every train station in London. If any date is in danger of being cancelled.....

    333906q.jpg

Which bafoon's would even by tickets in those two red triangle sections behind the stage, where you can only see things when they appear on the catwalk and miss half the show? I'm surprised Live Nation have not released tickets from the lobby, car park and toilets.

  10. i work with photoshop a lot and that is obviously photoshopped, this isn't fun anymore. it's really sad how they're photoshopping people to make them seem worse just because they really look good, it's just bullying. imo.

But Nikki you have to remember that photoshop works both ways. How many times has Madonna looked like shit in out take photos ( Rio and Hard Candy shots ) and then looked fabulous in the final shots :)

But this silly photo has had a grain effect and increased contrast put over it which would even make a five year old child look like a teenager.

  11. Yeah, her stock's definitely fallen in the last few years. Do you know how many second dates have been added to the tour as a whole? As far as I'm aware it's not been that many which is worrying given what Arthur Fogel said in March:

"A tour with a budget like [Madonna's] counts on adding on second and third nights in markets... That's why it's scheduled with lots of empty dates in major markets."

You do realize this Arthur Foggel character is also the one who stated an Austrlian tour announcement was to occur in March, since it has been over 20 years since Madonna last toured Australia AND New Zealand ( which is partially accurate given she has never toured New Zealand ). He sounds as dim witted and uninformed as Guy O.

  12. So for these folks who feel she's done so wrong by "appropriating" other cultures, do they feel shame or guilt when they listen to Vogue, or watch the performances? What about Nothing Really Matters, the Drowned World Tour, all the LIB performances, etc....?

Dont forget the American Life flag video: That video basically screams racism!

In all honestly the borderline film clip annoys and pisses me off. Knowing Madonna culturally appropriated those orange socks from Wal Mart culture. Why couldn't she just go with a nice pair of Yves St Laurent socks. Thank god her flap cap period is over and she no longer culturally appropriates from the English.

  13. I assume Best Night has now been taken off the set list and replaced with Material Girl?

Madonna on opening night: "Hello Montreal I dedicate Material Girl to the 14 stake holders of Live Nation, oops I mean 40,000 displaced fans".

Gets mouth spray: Mother Fuck. Somebody shoved some big fat man from Miama in first front row to give me dirty looks all night long. Flashes tits to camera, whohoo.

  14. I know it's frustrating, sad and upsetting but Madonna wouldn't reschedule a show if it wasn't a reason enough. I don't believe it's about rehearsals because she would rehearse even harder to be on time, it may have to do with the stage, probably they will need a few more days to finish it and try it.

That's right, 4 more extra days ( despite the 122 days she will already have had to get the stage right ) will make all the difference in the world to her stage. This excuse is almost ( but not quite ) as hilarious as the one's for not touring Australia. Madonna must thank her lucky stars ( no pun ) that she has the most gullible fan base ( besides gaga and her " broken" hip ) in the world.

And to think, many people here made fun of Mariah's "unprofessional" behaviour for canceling one Vegas show, sheesh!

  15. Napoleon, that is not just a dream, that is a nightmare :scared:

Humanracin, so we have 2 intimate concerts that we all have to try and get tickets for. Twin Towns in Tweed Heads and a very intimate concert at Eggs and Bacon Bay in Tassie. I so want to hear her thoughts on Daylight Savings and if it confuses the cows in Australia

Incorrect, Madonna has just announced a not so secret gig at The Ringwood RSL; BYO plonk, and those on seniors allowance / ANZAC's get a concession price of $264- standing room only ( Madonnas rationale being that this is their fortnightly pension amount, so they can certainly afford it )

A second concert was announced, however has been cancelled at the RSL due to slow moving tickets to the 220 seat venue. Seniors interviewed such as 88 year old Mable stated: "Fuck Madonna, I would rather spend my pension money on pokies".

  16. Ivy, you know she will play at Healesville Sanctuary with your favourite animals looking on - the emus.

Sorry Ivy, I am in a silly mood, listening to far too many silly callers at work and it is rubbing off on me. Had a crazy caller from Adelaide who wanted the police to investigate why he is getting a lot of cockroaches in his flat ! Hope Madonna does not read this thread, she will run away in horror.

A reliable source informed me Jazzy that your callers distress had nothing to do with cockroaches, but in actual fact that Madonna is skipping Adelaide on her Rebel Heart Tour of Australia. Tell your distressed caller not to fret though, but not to buy tickets for the Brisbane show because Madonna is only coming to Sydney and Wonthagi.

I got all this from a reliable source, you know that toothless hick from Olivia Newton John's Rumours video collection, who works in that underground mining town. He told me.
