  1. Theres always someone who's super big with the masses very safe and easy listening, remember Dido, Norah Jones and now Adele.

Yeah but neither has been as bland and depressive as Adele.

Dido and Norah Jones were more eclectic within their signature voices and sounds. I prefer them anyday to Adele.

  2. Do you guys watch the leaked videos of the tour before going to the show yourself. I always did but I'm questioning if I should just hold my breath this year and be surprised. That would also probably mean, not going into a lot of threads that would be discussing the setlist and outfits and performance videos which would suck while I wait...what do you guys normally do?

  3. Hung Up stayed in the top10 on the US i-tunes for 8 weeks(56days) and at no1 for 15 days. Plus, it hit top20 on 2 radio formats(top40 and hot ac) at a time when dance was extremely unpopular. GMAYL couldn't stay in the top10 for even 9 days even though we had the SuperBowl, the massive radio deal, TV interviews and billboards on many interstates and freeways across the US.

Who would have predicted before the launch of the single that GMAYL would make Hung Up look like a gigantic smash in the US.

I could've. Lol I still love hung up even the demo without the Abba sample was brilliant. Of course the sample added that iconic ooomph it needed to perfect it but the song itself, is great.

  4. I wish she'd sing Keep it Together, I'll remember, live to tell, whys it so hard, sanctuary, Skin, drowned world, Intervention...a few regular classics and of course the majority of MDNA. I'll settle for any of the ones I mentioned...oh and nothing really matters.

I wish shed do more video montages. Those drive me crazy. I love when shes dancing and there's a video of all her best images and reinventions.

Just NO still images like in She's Not Me ( I thought the screen broke). She could've done a better video montage then that.

  5. I says lower bowl - which theoretically should be the 100 section of the arena - but it's the next price level down ticket wise so it would be facing the stage head on from the opposite side of the arena - at that point, just pay the extra $100 and be close -

Yeah I'm contemplating that. For Yankee stadium there is no way I can be seated behind the baseball field which separates the entire audience. It's odd and I'm thankful I got B5. No matter how far from the stage it is, I'll feel like I'm at the the show.

I was thinking, for Atlantic city, buying that VIP ticket and enjoying it in a more relaxed fashion. Get the shirt, the book (and not have to spend the money on it that day) and it would just make for a nice ending to my seeing her but I'm contemplating it cause I feel that when I'm actually there, I'm going to be fuming that I decided to sit far back instead of getting to see her up close. I'm torn cause I shouldn't be wasting the extra $100 but we'll see! Thanks anyway for the advice.

  6. Does anybody know or even have an opinion of where you sit when you purchase the $275 VIP ticket, it says premium seating or something and I'm wondering if that's worth it...since I was lucky enough to buy a floor section for Yankee stadium, I was thinking of buying the VIP ticket for the Atlantic city show...

Anyone else confused/annoyed that there are different seating charts?

Is it possible they dont even know what the stage will look like considering she hasn't even started rehearsals? I just hope there's a catwalk or some sort of stage extention to go out into the audience so we can see her.

  8. You could have fooled me

Good idea. I think even though Martin Solveig isn't the most exciting producer she could have worked with its a million times better than her working with that guy who did Revolver, or Dr Luke, Max Martin and co. He's by no means cookie cutter and neither are any of the others that worked on this album. I'm sure the album will be good, those 2 other samples we heard sound great.

Yeah I do really like the samples for the two other songs. Do you think we'll hear a longer snippet within the next month for the new single?

  9. I think after COADF and HC we're all DANCED OUT.

There's so many ways you can interpret dance though. Ray of Light has dance elements that aren't found in COADF and HC (which is more just commercial dance/disco/hip hop). I don't mind having 3 ballads but since I already have this "ugh" feeling about Martin Solveig, it's a little bit of a let-down to hear that 3 out of the 6 William Orbit tracks are ballads. Again, I'm not whining, I'm just discussing it. Since I haven't heard it, I can't really judge.

This seems to be a different approach in album making, promotion, touring etc...seems that everything is a little different this time around because of the label change and deal with LiveNation. Maybe this will become a new vision in terms of a mash-up of different producers and sounds colliding into one album, a new visual concept for the tour (which everyone's been waiting for) and as we saw (up until this point at least) some fun exciting promotion. The promotional images are great too (album cover/single/tour poster.) So I'm going to push myself and lean more towards optimisism.
