Eh??? I trust your source but filming a video now for a single released this week?

I know. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ I saw all the costumes and heard all the deets but you don’t have to believe me. I didn’t believe it either for that very reason. But I guess we’ll see...Swae Lee is coming to nyc today to film his parts with M before she leaves for London

    Nothing about the tour??

Nope , not from the previews...just about her legacy and hard work towards bringing people together and then getting the GLAAD award for it. I guess we’ll have to wait another hour to find out about the tour details!

I just can't imagine Swae Lee on a disco song with drag queens in the video...lol...

I think Killers is the disco track and Crave is a whole other song.

She was filming Crave yesterday so UNLESS it was just final filming and the LA shoot is part of it or if the LA club shoot is a completely different song, is yet to be seen. Song is amazing from what I heard. “Pop ballad but different, could def be a hit” is what I heard

It's obviously very difficult to keep the public interested in Madonna's new music after thirty five years of releasing new music and refusing to be a nostalgic act.

Madonna is very individualistic with almost an old-school punk rock/fuck off attitude. I want her to be successful and respected, but she will continue being creative even if folks continue to write her off. I like that she presents herself as not giving a shit about the haters.

I actually felt that way during MDNA. Even with the biggest audiences and huge tour, I just noticed the charts didn’t matter anymore and she was just doing what she wanted like any punk rock act...she reached the zenith of her career and now she can just do what she wants and if people wanna enjoy it, so be it. If not, she’ll always have fans that will stand by her till the end.

Good observation. I come across this sentiment all the time outside this board in Madonna fandom. There definitely is this contingency of her fandom that just won't give it up to her new music until they get their disco number ala COAD (the supposed last time she's done anything truly good). And yes, the younger, newer fans are the ones who seem to be more often than not more open to the more contemporary work.

But I feel like they care less (the younger ones) ...I think it has to do with how long she took from RH amongst a lot of other things...maybe this era will change that. Even with the rough Medellin start, I’m seeing people be interested again.

Her performance really helped. It may not be a single but it is helping keep her in the news.

Yeah at least it’s somewhere on the iTunes chart...it def got a needed boost because of the BMA’s

That’s the only part I find a bit clunky too.

And for those that are criticizing her dancing, I kinda feel like Maluma slowed her down at certain parts. She was definitely leading him!

Strange enough I agree. When she’s about to do that little move while he’s behind her, I think she wants to do it more forceful but she holds back because of him, cause in the rehearsal, she looked more fluid. Same with the main bridge dance part...but also it could be cause they finally met up and rehearsed for a week and there were some nerves.

I've waited a while...but now I can truly say how unbelievably fresh this first single is.

What a wonderful, uplifting, catchy number to start the era (and open the album).  I'm quite surprised that I keep coming back to it. Incredible replay value that shows me something new every time I listen to it. Great production, beautifully clear vocals, that euphoric chorus, and a good length (with a structure that takes its time to build). Enjoyed it on first listen, but after a few repeats, it's clear how good this truly is. If only it could get its just due (and utterly puzzling how polarizing it is to the fanbase).

Say what you want about Madonna, but she still knows (perhaps better than ever) what REAL quality pop music is supposed to be. Thank god for her.

    Agreed!

  9. the more i watch it, the better it gets. it's really awesome to rewatch and analyze each avatars movements and different energies in the performance, the dancers, the subtle set changes etc...

my ONLY gripe was the avatars shifting over during the rain part and that wierd part where trench coat M moves over ...it just makes it too obvious that it was digital...also, if they use hologram technology, it would be amazing and worth it cause seeing all that in the real show would be beyond cool but if it's just in the screen...i'm hugely confused at the myth of $5 million and how will she utilize it in the actual tour...hmmm

My guess is with Killers, Future, or Come Alive as the "drag Queen" video.

I'm thinking she pre filmed alot not just for the album but for the tour as evident with the Billboard performance and interview about it.

Yeah, I’m almost 100% that it’s NOT Crave. We'll probably Know by Friday when crave drops

  11. Random but strangely, I’m receiving conflicting reports. Crave wasn’t the “disco” video shot in LA...so now I’m confused by what that video could be...and considering the billboard article, it should be the next single but was the video shot? I’m certainly not piecing it all together!!! 😬😬😬

Agreed ... “Act of Contrition” was like the foretaste of what was to come — but it is short and kind of a riff on the title cut. Like a reprise, but remixed.

”Vogue” is the closer on I’m Breathless — and I love that song more than I can ever say. But it almost doesn’t feel like an “album closer” in the senses we’re discussing. And (not to bring up that old debate, but ...) there’s the studio album vs. soundtrack issue.

So I was thinking the same — Secret Garden feels like the beginning of that tradition.

Agree with all this. I’d probably like to imagine Act of Contrition was the start of the epic conceptual closers but you’re right. It began with Secret Garden
