  1. Did someone say there will be some repeats from previous tours?

If so, I expect "Human Nature" will be very similar (see also: "Ray of Light" Confessions Tour and Sticky & Sweet). And perhaps the "Candy Shop" choreography will be similar but the musical arrangement / costumes / theme will be different (see also: "La Isla Bonita" Confessions Tour and Sticky & Sweet)

HeWeGo in the DrownedMadonna forum wrote some time ago that the setlist would feature quite a few oldies that were also performed on the Sticky & Sweet Tour.

And there are 6 of those: Candy Shop, Human Nature, Vogue, Like a Prayer, Hung Up and Like a Virgin (I'm counting in "Like a Virgin" because it was performed in the request sections on the shows that were filmed for the DVD/Bluray).

    Candy Shop

    S&S: similar to album version

MDNA: 60s/70s-style mix incorporating bits of "Erotica"

    Human Nature

    S&S: rock version

MDNA: apparently similar to album version

    Vogue

S&S: R&B-ish version with samples from "4 Minutes" and Timbaland's "Give It to Me"

MDNA: similar to Super Bowl mix (album version)

    Like a Prayer

S&S: rave/dance version with samples from Meck's "Feels Like Home"

MDNA: similar to Super Bowl mix (TIC version)

    Hung Up

S&S: guitar-heavy rock version with out-of-place elements from the album version

MDNA: reworked to fit into the Transgression theme

    Like a Virgin

    S&S: acapella

    MDNA: piano-driven (ballad?) version

    CDs.jpg

    That's

    - 1 song from Like a Virgin

    - 2 songs from True Blue

    - 2 songs from Like a Prayer

    - 1 song from I'm Breathless

    - 1 song from The Immaculate Collection

    - 1 song from Bedtime Stories

    - 1 song from American Life

    - 1 song from Confessions on a Dance Floor

    - 1 song from Hard Candy

    - 2 songs from Celebration

    - 9 songs from MDNA (including 1 song from the W.E. soundtrack)

I'd say this is most likely the final setlist:

    1. Girl Gone Wild

    2. Revolver

    3. Gang Bang

    4. Papa Don't Preach

    5. Hung Up

    6. Best Friend (video interlude)

    7. I Don't Give A

    8. Express Yourself

    9. Give Me All Your Luvin

    10. Turn Up the Radio

    11. Open Your Heart

    12. Masterpiece

    13. Justify My Love (video interlude)

    14. Vogue

    15. Candy Shop

    16. Human Nature

    17. Like a Virgin

    18. Nobody Knows Me (video interlude)

    19. I'm Addicted

    20. I'm a Sinner

    21. Like a Prayer

    22. Celebration

EDIT: I've put in "Like a Virgin" in the list because it has been mentioned before. But technically, it could be any song from that album..

  3. Wasn't Love Profusion rehearsed for the "rock" section of Re-Invention? I remember reading that the performance was based on the Headclearn Rock Mix. There's probably some truth in it, seeing how Material Girl samples that mix.

It was. Mike McKnight, who was part of Madonna's live band from 1990-2005, revealed in an interview with DrownedMadonna that this is how the Re-Invention Tour setlist looked when rehearsals started in late February 2004:

    1. The Beast Within (video intro)

    2. Vogue

    3. Swim

    4. Nobody Knows Me

    5. Express Yourself

    6. American Life (Headcleanr Rock Mix)

    7. Burning Up

    8. Love Profusion (Headcleanr Rock Mix)

    9. I’m So Stupid

    10. Hollywood (VMAs mix)

    11. The Devil Wouldn't Recognise You

    12. Hanky Panky

    13. Dress You Up

    14. Take a Bow

    15. Bedtime Story (video interlude)

    16. Like a Prayer

    17. Don't Tell Me (promo tour version)

    18. Mother and Father (promo tour version)

    19. Live to Tell

    20. Into the Groove (GAP version) OR Holiday

    21. Music

    22. Crazy for You

    23. Die Another Day

For the European leg of the Re-Invention Tour, the band prepared an acoustic version of "Love Profusion" that they wanted Madonna to sing instead of "Nothing Fails", but it was never rehearsed.

Other songs that were prepared for the Re-Invention Tour included Lucky Star, Bad Girl, Ray of Light, Skin, Nothing Really Matters, The Power of Good-Bye, X-Static Process and Easy Ride.

  4. Ok...I'm praying that this "real" setlist is not true...

    1. It's too short in general and has section with only two or three songs (a LITTLE under two hours or a LITTLE OVER two hours?)

    2. most of the songs have been featured on her last tour

    3. I remember we had a lot of "real" setlist that were posted by "reliable" sources like drownedmadonna and MadonnaTribe and guess what, they turned out to be fake :p

    4. no songs from The First Album, Like a Virgin, Erotica, Ray of Light and Music??!! That can't be true! c'mon!

    5. RETURN of CANDY SHOP & HUMAN NATURE?????!!!! WTF, Madonna?????!!!

    1. The setlist posted by m.d.n.a. and confirmed by Boombox in the Chile forum actually features more songs than the Confessions Tour! Was that too short for you, too? Furthermore, apart from the first section (GIrl Gone Wild - Revolver - Gang Bang - Papa Don't Preach), we don't know the exact order of the songs, as was also made clear by m.d.n.a. The setlist he posted featured "Best Friend" as the 7th song (not including the intro), but the song order must have changed, now that it's definitely an interlude - otherwise, "Hung Up" and "I Don't Give A" would be part of the first section.

    2. Since when does 5 songs equal "most of the songs" in a tour featuring at least 20 songs?

3.MadonnaTribe never posted an inaccurate setlist. They may have reported that songs "Deeper and Deeper" and "Erotica" were rehearsed for the Sticky & Sweet Tour and that "Impressive Instant" was rehearsed for the Sticky & Sweet Tour - but we have evidence that those songs were in fact rehearsed, as the respective tour demos have leaked.

    4. The Confessions Tour completely ignored Like a Prayer, I'm Breathless, Bedtime Stories and American Life. Not to mention that the Drowned World Tour omitted any songs off Like a Virgin, Like a Prayer, I'm Breathless and Erotica.

  5. Intro/Masterpiece Masterpiece (Video Interlude)

    [...]

    Any more doubts??

Why would "Masterpiece" be an interlude?

Dago Gonzalez may have done the videos for "Paradise (Not for Me)" (DWT) and "Bedtime Story" (RIT), but apart from the Sweet Machine Intro, all the videos he did on the Sticky & Sweet were for songs that were performed live on stage: Beat Goes On, Vogue, Into the Groove, Borderline, She's Not Me, Music, the entire Gypsy section (apart from "Rain"), Like a Prayer, Ray of Light and Give It 2 Me.

  6. As of last week:

Religious Intro (starts with spoken part from ggw, has sounds of church bells/ religious-catholic-kabbalah references)

    Girl Gone Wild

    Revolver

Gang Bang (whip and gun shot sounds through out)

    Papa Don't Preach

Hung Up (sounds completely different from what we've heard before)

    I Don't Give A (on guitar)

Best Friend (MAY be an interlude video)

Express Yourself (mixed with born this way with she's not me at the end)

    Give Me All Your Luvin

Turn Up The Radio (on guitar)

Open Your Heart (sounds like how it was performed during the superbowl but the whole song)

    Masterpiece

Justify My Love (new video interlude already filmed, shows madonna in underwear wearing a mask with a whip looks like tod perfume advert, carnival freaks chasing her/she hides in some room. new remix with different pitched vocals that feature a devilish laugh throughout the mix)

Vogue (sounds similar to super bowl performance)

Candy Shop (60's or 70's type-vibe with samples of erotica)

    Human Nature

Nobody Knows Me (new version) (interlude - madonna may film a new video for this)

    I'm Addicted

    I'm A Sinner

Like A Prayer (sounds similar to super bowl performance - return of church bell sounds)

    Celebration

Most songs sound like album versions but could change. Set list could still change.

According to Boombox in the MadonnaChile forum, this is, in fact, the real setlist as it was being rehearsed in late April.

Digitalfreaknyc in the MadonnaTribe forum confirmed that none of the MDNA bonus tracks will be actually performed, which means that "Best Friend" is a video interlude, as indicated as an option above. He also said that "Love Spent" hasn't been rehearsed so far.

  7. Folks over at Tribe are saying ticket sales are sluggish in Oslo, Brussels, Dublin and

    Zagreb.

Ticket sales for the Copenhagen show are slow, too.

When Madonna performed at the same venue in 2009, all floor tickets sold out within a few hours after going on general sale.

A few days later, the only restricted-view tickets were left.

This time around, it took almost 3 weeks for the Golden Circle to sell out, and there are still lots of tickets left in all other ticket categories.

In the early hours of February 3rd Madonna's new single Give Me All Your Luvin' debuted on the Japanes iTunes Store.

Even with this unexpected early debut he single remains on schedule to receive a worldwide, simultaneous launch tomorrow at 2 PM GMT on radio and in the digital stores.

The glitch on the Japanese digital store has now been fixed and the song will not be available anymore until the official release date.

Tune in to your favourite radio and digital store tomorrow at 2 PM GMT for the worldwide debut of "Give Me All Your Luvin'"!

  9. I don't know if i'm reading this correctly but Danja will be one of the sound engineers for "M.D.N.A" ?!?!?!?!?

    :dramatic:

I think popeline must have misunderstood something.

Danja was never reported to be involved with M.D.N.A..

However, Demo Castellon was confirmed by William Orbit to be mixing the album, or at least parts of it.

He also worked on the Timbaland tracks on Hard Candy and did the Rebirth remixes of "4 Minutes" and "Miles Away".

Apparently, his wife, Nelly Furtado, dropped by the studio while they were recording.

  10. From Mrama:

May 31st (tentative): 2012 World Tour kicking off in Tel Aviv.

June 14: Madonna performs in Milan at San Siro (aka the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza)

June 16: Madonna performs in Florence at the Stadio Artemio Franchi

July 14: Madonna performs in Paris at the Stade de France

August 21: Madonna performs in Nice at the Charles-Ehrmann stadium

3 of those dates are MadonnaTribe exclusives posted on the Tribe news page several hours before they appeared on Rama.

MadonnaTribe further revealed that the Milan show will be the first European stop of the tour, while the Nice show will be the last one.

The admins also wrote in their forum that the tour won't have any longer breaks until December. M will be touring non-stop for 7 months.

  11. RT @adamlambert : " Madonna's new album's called "M.D.N.A." hahah Genius!!! "

Adam Lambert, whose guitarist is Monte Pittman, Madonna's long time guitarist, really likes the title of Madonna's upcoming album, M.D.N.A.

Adam Lambert no longer speaks to Monte Pittman, after Monte endorsed an unofficial album released by Adam's former label.

The album consists of a bunch of demos recorded in 2007 by Citizen Vain, a band featuring Adam Lambert and Monte Pittman.

He tried to stop the release, but since the label releasing it hold the rights to the recordings, he wasn't able to prevent them from releasing them.

However, Adam Lambert remains a huge fan of Madonna :D

  12. So in saying that Martin Solveig produced the track, doesn't that prove that it's going to be very different to the demo? Because that demo sounds nothing like Solveig's work, it sounds like William Orbit did it.

To me, the demo screams Solveig! I admit, it does sound a bit like a few of Madonna's Orbit tracks, especially "Run", but still, it was obvious to me from first listen that "Give Me All Your Love" was produced by Solveig.

  13. Wasn't it according to G_O_N_E that it would be released today with a press release?

No, it wasn't G_O_N_E. It was Giampiero, the DrownedMadonna admin.

He posted a few weeks ago that according to the information he got, the radio premiere and digital release of "Gimme All Your Luvin" was tentatively scheduled for 15 January, later correcting it to 16 January.

  14. If Madonna had not had any universally praised album since 1998 her career would be OVER long ago. They have no idea.

    According to Metacritic...

    ...Music was univerally acclaimed (80/100)

...American Life received mixed reviews (60/100)

...Confessions on a Dance Floor was universally acclaimed (80/100)

...Hard Candy received generally favorable reviews (65/100)

It does, indeed, seem that they 'forgot' two albums. Or maybe they didn't give any of the albums particularly good reviews and don't want to acknowledge that most other reviewers were positive about two of them.

  15. Dita333 from the AbsoluteMadonna forum is one of the Super Bowl stage crew volunteers.

This is what she posted earlier today:

Cap Spence is in charge of the Super Bowl stage crew. Orientation was this evening. He has done the last 13 years of the SB performances as well as 40 years in entertainment. Don't believe what you are hearing about the set list. She's been rehearsing with her dancers since Dec. 1st. Never ever has an act requested to rehearse after the Thursday before the SB but Madonna is. She will soon be rehearsing in New Jersey with a mock up of the stage. Stage will be in Indy on 16th. Our first stage crew rehearsal is a week later. I won't be leaking any set or music information as she wants it to be a surprise. I'm so honored to be a part of this experience!
