That set list is now a lot better and AL is definitely more acceptable

Why? Lewis Capaldi is bloody awful. Like a Scottish Ed Sheeran.
I really can’t stand these people taking over the Uk charts! Ed and Lewis!

People still think one MX song has more chance to become a radio hit than the other one. When will we realise whatever she releases, it is extremely unlikely to become a hit. Crazy or GC or anything else.

Madonna is closer to David Bowie than MARIAH or CELINE in every possible way.
Plant that fact in your head so that you can stop grieving foolishly (and dragging other fans to share your sorrow too) over low views, low streaming numbers, low sales, low airplay, receiving no acclaims from corrupted critics, no awards (Bowie won just ONE FUCKING GRAMMY), I wish I could fucking slap everyone here so that you wake the fuck up to accept her cult status now.
this is brill!

Well, Killers is my second fave on the album (only behind EO), but Batuka has become the most haunting for me. It’s such an ominous piece of art. When she chants “let me catch my breath” and the drums intensify, I get chills. It’s her warning song about our political climate. And the outro is one of the most melancholy instrumentals of her career. I’m obsessed with it.
EO is also one of my favourites, it's been such a grower.
I love Batuka too. I made my colleagues listen to the album yesterday and they reacted mostly to Dark Ballet and Batuka.

Not sure if this was posted already.

One of her best videos ever... she’d better get some fucking awards!
It’s definitely NOT promoting the song but the message.

This is very true and actually has been for a while now! As long as she's producing quality like MX though, I think this is something we kind of need to get over at this point. I understand with someone like M who pretty much dominated the charts for 30 yrs it's a bitter pill to swallow but I think it's something we as a fanbase need to sort of move past because......it's not getting any easier from here on that front.
Time to fine tune expectations and celebrate the smaller victories.....not that a #2 album in UK or #1 album in US is a "small victory".....that's pretty fucking major for anyone now. As far as single success goes though, that ship has sailed. Hopefully, next era expectations won't be as unrealistic.
Totally true. It is just a shame that such good quality music doesn't reach to a bigger audience. She so deserves it but oh well.
I think we've also been very spoilt with her overall chart success over the decades that it almost feels surreal how she is ignored now.

From what I gather being Spanish and Portuguese being close to my language, I guess she sings
"The world is savage/ the road is lonely"
Beautiful lyrics, beautiful song. I really love this song. Gets better each day.

Praise the lawd. Mojo has been added.

I think she is too old for the younger generation and her music is too current and young for the older generation. So nobody listens to her new music other than the fans. This is her problem.

Anyone else get chills when Madonna says, “Get the kids ready. Take them to school”? It’s such a powerful lyric.
Definitely one of the highlight parts for me ...

I listen to the whole album in the order of how it’s meant to be. It’s just plain disrespectful otherwise!

It felt very uncomfortable during the whole interview actually. It’s interesting how relaxed she is in some interviews and so cold in some others. In this one, again, she looked / sounded like she couldn’t be bothered. And the ESC question! she scares me!
-
What a fabulous interview - loved it. So informative about certain songs. And she loooves God Control!
-
All important mags, papers gave her glowing reviews in my books. Q, NME, Mojo etc

That video is brill, so cute.
Twitter is vile. It's a platform where people vomit their vile negativity without any consequences.

She's going to put my in an early grave with those grillz!!!!! WHY???? LOL They don't look good. If they did I wouldn't care.
Looking forward to this.
and I’m quite sure they are so uncomfortable!

She looked amazing and so relaxed. What a difference in comparison to the Graham Norton show. Loved it.
Obama anecdote was cute, what’s the deal?
The only thing is she’s NOT no1 in 60 countries. Probably she was on iTunes for a few hours? They should have been more accurate about that and run through each country. like UK no2, Sweden no10 etc .

I was telling a colleague at work today that I got a ticket for the MX London shows. There were a bunch of us and they were saying ‘Madonna hasn’t released an album in years’! Obviously I corrected them but all they then talked about was the Eurovision disaster. I’m 38 and my colleagues vary from 25-50ish and no one new Madonna still made music!!!
On the plus side one of them listened to some of MX on lunch break and loved it, so I’ve done my bit
I also made a German friend listen to the whole album yesterday on Spotify. He wasn't aware her album was out and his reponse was 'It's amazing, love it.'

The user reviews give a whole new meaning to the lyric “Everybody knows the damn truth.”
Probably my favourite line in the whole album

When I went into HMV last friday to get my MX copies, there were a line of BS posters along the entrance and he was playing in the store. So he was the main release of the week as far as HMV is concerned.

It’s a lovely short documentary. I loved the insight info for each song. Great visuals and cinematography too. She’s given us so much this era!
