  1. Oh Miguel <3

I can't even read the details, i already have stomach pains from the little i read on Twitter ( I've already gone through too much lately and i can't take it anymore).

The attacks in Paris where so scary because it was 2 blocks away from where i used to live, because one of my best friend was at a concert that night and i did not know if it was at Le Bataclan, i tweeted him like crazy until he answered.

These are scary times but i refuse to be scared, i refuse to let hatred invade my heart because that's what they want. To divide and conquer, to create fear and chaos. That's why i'm not reading the details because it could let them win.

It goes beyond the NRA this time (which does not exempt them of a responsibility here as well). When one is determined to find a weapon to kill, he or she will find it no matter what the laws are. More than the right to possess guns in the US we should question weapons manufacturers, countries who make billions selling weapons (France being in the top 3).

2016 sucks. 6 months in and it's been hell so far.

  2. Roland, it won't translate for me :cries:

Yes, I would like a translation too. Thanks.

I have a very twisted view on this regarding Allen and Polanski. Best not go there.

I put the translation right under the fake poster.

It's the only swipe i took at Woody in the whole article but i wanted to say it. I adore Mia Farrow, i folow her on Twitter and she's amazing. To think she was with Allen and her most famous movie was shot by Polanski is so weird.

Right here in France we are having two back to back major scandals regarding this issue (years after that pig DSK) :

  3. I took a swipe at Woody Allen in the article i wrote on Cannes in one of the publications i work for. The whole article is written in a humourous tone , i renamed the movies presented in mock posters and the Woody Allen one is this one

    Woody_Allen_lunettes.jpg

    * Translation : The Woody Allen movie with a lot of stars in it but no mention of the accusations of sexual abuse by him on his daughter Dylan.

The whole article if you wanna check (in french)

I'm ashamed of my country for turning the blind eye on Allen or Polanski for that matter. We keep on lecturing the world on freedom but we don't car about victims & women's rights.

WATCH: Woman Confronts Man for Using Food Stamps at Walmart

A video posted to YouTube appears to show a woman confronting a man at Walmart for paying for his groceries with food stamps.

The video, which has quickly gone viral, shows the woman standing behind the man, who was at the checkout counter with a child.

The two had apparently already exchanged words, in front of children, as the video started.

"I put in 50 to 60-hour weeks," the man said. "Im trying to provide for my family."

He told her to, "Deal with it, b****," and asked her to mind her own business.

"I dont have to. Its a free country, remember?" the woman countered. "If Im gonna pay for all your s***, the least I can do is talk."

She argued that the government pays for food stamps by taking money out of her paycheck and wondered whether he's a "Hillary or Bernie" supporter.

The man then suggested she contact her congressman, or vote Republican, saying that he doesn't "make the rules" on food stamps.

"Yeah, you just take advantage of them like everybody else," she said.

"Well why wouldn't I? Why wouldn't I?" he said as the video concluded.

As if he was happy to be on food stamps and needed to be more shamed in front of his children. He should sue her fat porky ass for traumatizing his children by humiliating him in front of them for being poor. That would teach her. And once again at Wall mart.

  5. I read it. This journalist has written a blog with fraudulent and deadly information. It would be like writing an article saying, "It's ok for you to have unprotected sex because a couple clinics in the US did HIV tests on four different people who had unprotected sex and they came up HIV negative". So, it's ok if you don't use a condom. In fact, you are at less risk of attracting HIV if you don't".

How would you feel if you read a blog like that. Then you find out that your neighbor believes this particular journalist and has unprotected sex with various people, thinking that he's acting morally.

    The Huff acted correctly.

    Exactly.

that's the biggest problem with the Huffpost and this kind of "journalism", they give bloggers the same credit as journalists (without paying them) and it really fucks up people's minds.

  6. Regardless of whether you agree with his opinion or not, it was wrong for The Huffington Post to remove his article. That's his opinion and in America, we have the right to express our opinions regardless of who disagrees with them.

This has nothing to do with freedom of speech. The HuffPost is a private plateform not a public service one. That's an editor job to chose what he or she wants on the plateform.

I understand that you want to work as a journalist so you must understand that when you make public statements as a journalist you must provide sources. This is a health hazard and the HuffPost could be sued by the FDA or any health organization for spreading these rumours.

(and i hate the huffPost because it's killing our profession so i'm in no way supporting them but just saying what i learnt in journalism school)

  7. Garbage.

First saying that all the media are left wing is a joke. If that was the reason why then they'd be anti vaccine because laboratories are money hungry machines.

Second these loons thanks to their stupidity have permited old diseases like the plague to make a comeback. They are dangerous to others. If they don't want their children or themselves to be vaccinated it's their right but they should also accept to live in quarantine far from us.

I see those notoriously stupid people like Jenny MacCarthy (why is she still around ? ) making statesments like they are Pasteur or Marie Curie. You're a dumb bimbo getting older. I understand that having an autistic child is hard and you must be wondering why but it's no reason to point as fact things that are endangering to all of us. Go to a shrink to erase the guilt.

  8. It's just freshman year students who think they already know it all because their parents indebted themselves to get them in a good university. In 3 or 4 years when reality, bills and the pressure of losing your job will hit & break them, you won't see them going on about this shit.

For the moment they are just entitled brats without a real notion of the real world except for what they read on the internet

  9. I had this type of a-hole telling me Madonna was appropriating Voguing so i told him that HE was appropriating voguing (he does drag and goes to ballrooms) since he was a french white guy from the upper middle class whose parents bought him an apt. in Paris and not a black transgender person from Harlem in the 80's.

It's also a way for priviledged kids to turn the attention away from them and onto someone else. On the video she chose someone totally harmless. She wouldn't have done the same thing with a jock.

Though I defend their right to wear em'

Of course. Everyone is allowed to dress or wear whatever they want.

We have so much bullshit going on here in France with head scarves...Today the minister of family said that girls wearing head scarves were like american negros being for slavery. Yep she used the word negro (nègre in french) ...a word no one EVER use especially about black americans....so not only the comparison is outrageous but her choice of word is completly ignorant. All that just for a head scarf.....We came to the point were we just can't accept anyone that is not ourself anymore. It's very sad. Let people be and wear whatever they want.

  11. My sister's longtime BF had dreadlocks but they live in the caribbeans.

Once my nephews were old enough to voice an opinion they asked him to cut them off and he did.

It frankly looks stupid on white people and some islands in the Caribbeans forbid people, black or white to wear them because of the cliches that come with it and they want to get rid of. He always had a cap on to hide them for that reason. He is white and blond btw.

  12. It's just a stupid girl. Thing is she's playing right into Trump and other right wingers game. This video will be on Drudge and other right wing websites in no time and on top of it all she'll probably get death threats for that. She is what we call "une idiote utile" for the right wingers.

I went to see Angela Davis at La Sorbonne in may last year and she talked about these social justice warriors and how conterproductive they were because somebody asked her about the afro she used to wear in the 60's & 70's and how someone like Beyonce was bleaching and straightening her hair and white people wearing corn braids. She said that when you have young men being shot at for being black the way people wear their hair is a rich people's concern and silly.

  13. It reactivated the fear and deep sadness we all felt in november in Paris. As soon as the news broke politicians and journalists alike started arguing with such lack of common decency. I almost resigned. I was already feeling terrible because my moter was at the hospital for heart surgery and she experienced racism directly and undirectly. Then the bombings in Brussels happenned. It's an emotional whirlwind. These fucking attacks have been taking place non stop around the world since what it seems like forever. In Africa, Turkey (wether it's Isis or PKK), Europe even in Australia.

Yesterday i met one of my sisters for lunch and somebody had left a paper bag unattended under a table on a terrace. I asked the girls on next table if the person had left for good. Everybody felt fear so without thinking twice i checked into the back, a bottle of water and what was left of a sandwich. I threw the bag in the next bin. I don't understand how people can be so careless to do that in these times. It's not me being paranoid, it's just that we all must be vigilante and look for each other.

I had a tantrum yesterday morning at the redaction for lack of sleep (on top of everything my female dog is in heat driving my male dog nuts who kept me awake all night with his japping). We should think before we speak. There's no shame in saying we don't know. Yet on tv, in my redaction people talk. A lot. Saying things as facts when it's just personal brain farts provoked by fear, anger and our inhability to understand how come one can do that. Everybody cope and deal in their on way i guess.

I'm still haunted by the children crying in the Brussels subway tunnel.

I can't fathom how people in Africa deal with this daily threat.

I'mangry at my own government. 10 days ago i was responsible (i can say it now even though i was scared of the repercussions on me then) for outing my president for giving the medal of honour (Legion d'honneur, our highest decoration) to the prince of Saudia because he demanded it. A friend sent me a photo on sunday morning while i was having my coffee. Since it's someone i know for 10 years now as a club kid who works in a governmental cabinet today and he must keep his tongue tied he just told me "look for it". So i googled this pic without knowing what it was. the picture was taken late on the prior friday evening (10pm). The ceremony did not appear in the official presidential calendar. Usually Le journal officiel publishes the agenda of every visit. The whole schedule for the Saudi Prince was there minus this. It only appeared on the official Saudi Kingdom press agency. Then i sent the whole thing to my editor. After 36 hours of a total blackout the news spread. People were outraged considering the number of people killed at Le Bataclan on the terraces of cafés last september. We all know Saudi Arabia enables ISIS with money. It just shows how complicated and disturbing this whole thing is.

Terrorists are just stupid people who are not inserted in society. Most of them are little crooks and were already condemned for common theft or drug dealing. They are not the brains behind this whole organization. It does not excuse them but they are just soldiers, it's been reported that most of them don't even have an ideology linked to radical Islam (if they were real muslims they wouldn't do what they do anyway).

We are now working with Al Assad, the one who permitted all this to grow. Obama does not care about this. I was talking with a french specialist on american culture and policy (she used to be my bff teacher at Sc. Po) and she told me that Hillary Clinton is very different from Obama on foreign policy.

Obama thinks the US should not intervene unless they are directly targeted. She on the other thinks that the US must get involved. I'm not Hillary supporter but frankly she's the only hope regarding what could become a third W.W. Trump would probably nuke the hell out of the whole region starting an endless war (his foreign policy councelors are well know controversial warmongers).

If only our governments would just stop an energy transition, stop using oil as the main one it would not only benefit the environment but it would slowly put an end to all these conflicts because they all are rooted in who is gonna own the oil and access to it. Religion is just a mask they put on it.

Sorry for the long post. I'm very tired and sad.

I hope we will stand together and not let this divide us because that's what they want, that's what terrorism is all about.
