Fmforums.co.uk has a leaked tracklisting apparently. Holiday is only song from first album and it's you must love me not Argentina from evita

I wouldn't be surprised if they used the She's Not Me montage as the video. It would make sense as a montage given the title.
I wouldn't be surprised if they filmed Madonna looking at a book or tv screen with clips of her old videos in there.
-
Don't panic! It'll be out this year. They will want it out to sell at Christmas. It will sell well too if they get the image right on the cover and put the Hits on.
-
Well I read today that madonna is in talks to do x factor in uk. It runs September to December so this supports autumn hits collection.
Also in the uk sun newspaper on Saturday she gave an interview about michael Jackson, her tour and still seeing London as home. The article said her next thing was a greatest hits at end of the year with 2 new songs.
As for the greatest hits - I'm a fan and would buy anything. BUT I'd imagine she's going to try and appeal more to casual fans and those who own no or few madonna cd's. I reckon it'll be 2 cd's of the biggest hits. Hopefully with DVD collection of videos released at same time.
I also think it'll be called holiday-celebrate 1983-2009

Madonna has done more for feminism than Greer could ever dream of!
-
It makes sense for Madonna to put a great new song or 2 on this album. If this sells lots and is a success it bodes better for the LN albums than if it isn't so successful.
I expect a great single and massive promotional campaign. If it's out in September I expect the singles in September and late November to make this a HUGE Seller in the run up to Christmas.

My only worry about this whole greatest hits cd is that Warner will do a one cd fits all release.
The cd needs to be at least a double cd. Possibly with an extra bonus cd with more songs.
The USA needs a different one to the UK/Europe. I mean I'll remember was huge in the US but not as big as Beautiful Stranger was in Europe and the UK.
I also think we need at least 1 new or unheard song. This would be nice for fans and give Warner something to push to radio at least.
I'm from the UK and I would like this tracklisting - 2 17 track cd's

4 minutes has been a major success and I'd say it's in her top 10-15 hits of all time. Saleswise here in the UK I'm guessing it's her 10th or 11th biggest.
I know the song has made a big impact with the yonger generation who wouldn't have bought Madonna normally.
I hope when the career greatest hits is released Warners look at what her biggest hits are/were and select those.
If it is to appeal to casual buyers they can't ignore the hits in favour of fan favourites. They need to just get as many of the big sellers on the discs as possible.

Give it to me at number 10.
-
I really do think she will go to Australia and Japan. I think she will announce it once the tour has started or about to start but I have a feeling she will come regardless of what has been said by Live nation etc.
-
I really don't know why Warner's aren't advertising this on TV. Madonna has had the number 1 UK song for 4 weeks and buzz about Give it to me is generally positive. When COADF was out advertising and TV appearences were BIG - we need this now.
I'm hoping that the album gets TV advertising once give it to me is officially released and that Madonna will appear on johnathan Ross to promote both album and tour.
Maybe we are panicking too much about early sales? I mean in the UK Pink went on to sell 1 million of I'm not dead and Nelly Furtardo close to a million with Loose after many singles were released. This album will be like these - once she tours and more singles are out it will gain new buyers.
Lets all try to stay positive and think long term
-
Whitney has a new compilation in the UK?!?
Yes it's an ultimate collection and is being advertised a lot on TV here.
Single disk with no new songs and quite a few hits missing ( I believe in you and me, Could i have this kiss forever, Step by step and queen of the night ) .
Overall it does look a good package and seems to be selling well for a top 5.
-
when do you think COADF will be 5 x platinum in Europe?
Maybe after Decembers sales figures?
New Single ("Celebrate" or "Celebration"?) to hit Radio Soon
