  1. It's 2 CDs, and a DVD of all his videos, supposedly- but, I don't know. amazon.com had it on sale for $12.99- again, don't know if that's for the double album, or double album + DVD- I don't even know if it's the standard edition or limited (the one with the DVD).

Well I bought it, it's a good deal if you look at it. I don't own any of his Greatest Hits. Warner should take a cue from this and release something like this next year for Madonna's final CD. It would be great to release a 2 CD set with a 2 DVD set along with it. Madonna really needs a proper DVD with all her videos on it.

Is really gonna surpass 300K? If Walmart releases their numbers, Carrie might pass Britney!

  3. I will be buying Brit's album tonight! I just wish her luck.

I love Jennifer Lopez, it's just too bad that she is not getting any radio support. Her album is ok, nothing too outstanding like "on the 6". She does have about 4 decent songs on "Brave".

Are CD's that are sold at concerts tracked? I went to her concert last night, many people were buying her "Brave" CD. They were paying $20 for it...

All the Country Loves Carrie, as Underwood’s Some Hearts Is Certified for Sales of Six Million Copies!

ACM-Winning Album of the Year Becomes the First Female Country Debut to Hit the Six-Million Milestone Since 1999

Nashville, TN – She’s a two-time GRAMMY winner, reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year, and newly crowned ACM Top Female Vocalist, and the incredible success story of Carrie Underwood reaches still greater heights as her 19 Recordings/Arista Records/Arista Nashville debut album, Some Hearts, is now RIAA-certified Sextuple Platinum for sales of six million copies. One of only two female country debuts ever to reach this milestone, Some Hearts now ranks alongside Leann Rimes’ Blue as the best-selling debut by a country female in RIAA history.

Released November 15, 2005, the disc’s unstoppable sales momentum has powered it to #1 for a remarkable 26 of its 78 chart weeks – holding the #1 position on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart across multiple weeks in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

With a 29% sales jump to more than 56,700 copies sold this past week, Some Hearts reclaims the #1 position on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and surges to #8 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. This sales leap preceded Carrie’s performance and triple win on Tuesday’s 42nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, where she was awarded Video of the Year (“Before He Cheats”) and two of the night’s top prizes: Top Female Vocalist and Album of the Year, for Some Hearts.

“Wasted,” the fourth #1 country airplay single from Some Hearts (following the success of “Jesus, Take the Wheel,” “Don’t Forget to Remember Me,” and “Before He Cheats”), also becomes a #1 video this week on GAC’s viewer-voted Top 20 Country Countdown.

Underwood’s massive cross-format appeal has also delivered Top 10 success at Hot AC and Mainstream Top 40 with “Before He Cheats,” becoming a Top 5 favorite video on VH1’s VSpot Top 20 Video Countdown as well as the first country video ever to air on MTV’s TRL and the first country video added to MTV since 1999.

With this week’s SoundScan sales numbers, “Before He Cheats” also breaks new ground on the digital frontier, as release-to-date total sales vault to 1,228,511 downloads, ranking “Before He Cheats” as the best-selling digital country song in chart history.

Some Hearts remains the best-selling, single-disc country album by a solo artist (male or female) in the last six years (since Tim McGraw’s Greatest Hits released in November of 2000) and the best-selling, single-disc country album by any artist since the release of the Dixie Chicks’ Home in August 2002.

Fans can be watching for American Idol’s Season Four champion as she returns to the Idol stage for a performance on the show’s May 23 season finale.

  5. ericmg: "I have a client who's a lawyer for GE (which owns NBC) and according to internal talk Live to Tell WILL BE SHOWN. Only 60,000 people have signed the petition not to show it and NBC is not concerned about a boycott from the right. The Sorry montage is being cut however. Hope nothing changes in the next few weeks."

The Sorry montage...that is great!!! I hope it's on the DVD release! LTT has to air!

Although HEC predictions are valid and always respected, we need to take into account the "WHAT IFS"

    1) ANOTHER MOSCOW DATE?

    2) FROM HEC: ITS A 12 MILLION DIFFERENTIAL-THATS REALLY NOT INSURMOUNTABLE ! IT COULD HAPPEN - SHE NEVER PERFORMED IN RUSSIA OR PRAGUE-SO WE DONT KNOW WHAT IT WILL GENERATE? WE CANT EVEN EXTRAPOLATE!

    3) JAPAN: IT MAY SURPRISE US WITH MORE $$$ THAN EXPECTED.

I TRULY BELIEVE SHE HAS A BETTER CHANCE OF A TIE OR WIN-THAN A LOSS

(CONSIDERING MANY MORE NUANCES THAT CAN BE IMPUTED IN HECs Calculation)

  7. From E Online News...

LIKE A NAYSAYER: Rome's Catholic, Jewish and Muslim leaders coming together in a rare display of unity to condemn Madonna's plan to stage her mock-crucifixion scene on the Rome stop of her Confessions Tour Sunday, complaining that the singer should pull the stunt out of consideration for where she is performing. The Material Girl's still got what it takes to stir up a little controversy.

LIKE A DO-GOODER: Meanwhile, Madonna upping her chances of not going directly to hell by revealing to Time magazine her plans to care for orphans in Malawi, Africa. The artist has already committed to raising at least $3 million to fund programs for children in need.

  8. She is saturating the market in the west and northeast with nothing really considered "south" beyond Miami( yes I am bitter). She would certainly have sold out mulitple shows in Houston or Dallas or St. Louis. Not too mention she would have grossed a lot more in either Houston or/especially Dallas.

You are so right! All of her $350 tickets would have SOLD OUT in minutes here in Houston! She is very popular here in the clubs. Hell...even some clubs have special Madonna nights once a year! She could have replaced one Boston date with one Houston date!
