  1. S&S probably is my favourite recent tour of hers when it comes to her dancing and energy! She was on fire throughout so many shows, danced a lot in the performances which didn't involve choreographies as well, and she was very playful (just like in this video) a lot of times!

I do love MDNA Tour as well, however - while it certainly was perfectly and flawlessly choreographed - she came across as stiff in some songs which didn't involve choreographies. I mean - compare, for example, the guitar performances of both tours, e.g. TUTR with Borderline or Dress You Up. No doubt, S&S Tour kicks the shit out of every other tour she did when it comes to her energy and dancing! And achieving that at the age of 51, after already having toured the world multiple times since 20 years, makes that fact even more mind-blowing!

I agree. And of course the fact that she was well rested with the break between 08 and 09.

  2. It's hard to tell. At the time, I remember rumoured releases for LAV BAT version, Sooner or Later, Now I'm Following You (which made it to promo) that never came to anything. Amazing and Impressive Instant made it to promo then got pulled. I imagine there's a whole host of songs that may have been considered for release and then got canned at various stages. The lack of releases between 87 and 89 was strange given she was on a career high. I imagine they could have been considering various options.

The Route 88 remix is interesting to hear but there's a really clunky edit in it at one point!

I think the most recent situation was Gang Bang. Tracy Young even announced on her site the single release, but never actually happened.

  3. I'm really looking forward to the prospect of Madonna/Avicci collaboration even if it's only one song or the entire album. I love his mix of guitar, horns, and organic electronics. I am mesmerized by the joy and smoothness of Wake Me Up and Hey Brother. I close my eyes and imagine Madonna's infectious vocals to these songs and pure magic is made. I'm 100% on board with them working together and I feel that she will blow us away with harmonious melodies and "art for freedom" lyrics with a drive and passion and complete focus to deliver another classic. I feel this is coming and the first single will be total opposite fom GMAYL. I can't wait for her new era to begin.

    :biggrin::tigger:

  4. That's interesting because I was thinking about ths yesterday and I also think it would be a good balance 13-14 oldies but goodies and 8-9 new ones. My wishful list has 18, but I will try 15:

Burning Up (without guitar, just M with her raw voice rolling on the floor)

Gambler (I wouldn't mind a rock version of this on guitar!)

Open Your Heart (acoustic would be amazing)

Express Yourself (just like MPowered said, a REAL re-invention)

Rescue Me (an interlude video, just because I want a video for this song!)

    Bad Girl (I mean, really)

    Secret

    Ray of Light (without guitar)

Music (another fine re-invention as always)

    Don't Tell Me

What It Feels Like for a Girl

    American Life (re-invented)

Sorry (I really need this! Give a break to Hung Up)

    Give It 2 Me

Gang Bang (slow down version with Bang Bang by Nancy Sinatra)
