  1. From DrownedMadonna:

EXCLUSIVE: Crave is the 2nd single from Madonna’s Madame

EXCLUSIVE – We at DrownedMadonna.com are excited to reveal that Crave is planned to become the second single to be released from Madonna’s Madame X album. Crave is a very cool and eclectic dance track. Someway, Medellín is like a set-up for the big single. Crave is indeed even a stronger single than Medellín.

We don’t have to wait too long for listening to it, because Crave is one of the 4 selected “pre-sale” tracks that will be available before Madame X release. Precisely, Crave will be available next week, on May 10th, 2019. Crave (feat. Swae Lee) is written by Madonna Ciccone, Khalif Malik Ibn Shaman Brown and Brittany Talia Hazzard.

  2. Someone from Popjustice:

    I Rise lyrics start with:

I'm going through it again no you can't see the tragic in it
Just hold on to the little bit of magic in it
    I can't break down now
    I can't take that now

For those who were disappointed with her vocal delivery in Medellin, this one should restore your faith. She sounds crystal clear in it! Good vocal mastering this time round. Although there's a bit of vocoder effects being used closer to the track ending. It's a very poppy sounding ballad. I don't know how to describe it but perhaps a mix of Ghosttown and Devil Wouldn't Recognise You?

Here here!!  Even though, I think even older generations thought the same  of the 80's and 90's as you do of the current music scene!  But agree with you to a certain extent.  At the same time, I feel there is a lot of great young musicians out there. Though, I usually look beyond what is played on radio.

True, but it's shocking how the industry has been corrupted by labels, focus groups, target audiences, stylists, social media, etc, etc. Back in the day it seemed so much more genuine and there was this spark of energy in the air, these days it all seems much more calculated and cold in a sense.

  4. When watching these pre-show interviews I realize how damn lucky I was growing up in the 80's and 90's. We had POP STARS back then, people who were exhillarating, thought-provoking, breaking boundaries, creating cultural moments that had an impact on all walks of life. These days celebrities seem so bland, fake, empty shells or too obviously pandering to their target audience. So damn crappy.... People need to get on their hands and feet and thank god that we still have an ICON like Madonna, still releasing music, doing top notch performances and keeping it fresh and genuine. She is one of the wonders of the world at this point!!!

More bullshit from DrownedMadonna. I wish people would stop re-posting stuff from that awful website. It's clear they haven't heard the song and someone has told them it's a ballad and not a dance song and now they're turning it into some kind of exclusive thing to drive traffic to their website.

They were terrible during the RH era leaks in terms of driving fans to access the leaked songs (I never forget). Madonna's team should have gone after them.

That is simply not true. I know for a fact that DrownedMadonna was actually working with M's team to stop the leaks and find the culprit!

Without giving anything away, do you know why she would shoot a video for a single long before filming and releasing Medellin? Do you think the original plan was to release a different first single?

Well, take into account that for Medellin she was also bound to the avilability of Maluma and his schedule. So maybe it made more sense to film the LA video first, or maybe the LA video required more post production. There could be thousands of reasons. She was in LA at the time anyway for the Oscars party, so they probably combined the filming because of that. The order in which things are filmed doesn't say much about the order in which they are released. God knows what will come out and what doesn't. I mean, we still haven't seen THAT much from the original first red moon video shoot in Portugal.... Let's just wait and see!
