  1. I find it pretty shocking (to not say stupid) for people to be throwing shade at Orbit for him saying he would have wanted more studio time with Madonna and he'd preferred to have better songs coming out of those sessions. Even if he was hired for help and that's it, how can I disagree on someone who claims he regrets he wasn't allowed to do a better job with her? Are we gonna say he's an asshole just because he disagrees on what happened with a Madonna album where he would have liked to work more deeply?

  2. I don t think so , everybody is coming to Latin America , she can tour here

Alejandra Guzmán sold like 300,000 ticktes in Latin America with her current tour , Madonna can sell 600,000 easily , even considering that Madonna s tickets are more expensive , for sure people will buy Madonna s tickets...

I agree with gang bang, I don't think economy is on the shitter at all but to the contrary one of the best places for artist to come take heaps of money from us like they have been doing for the last five or six years fortunately!!

  4. I read somewhere that Sire wanted to release 7 singles off True Blue, knowing that Madonna was gonna do a big tour in the summer of 87.

However, while filming Slammer (later retitled Who's That Girl) it was decided, after the box office flop of Shanghai Surprise, that Madonna would record a few songs for the soundtrack in order to ensure the success of the WTG film.

Thus both Where's The Party and White Heat, the would be 6th and 7th singles off True Blue, were scrapped in favor of Who's That Girl and Causing a Commotion from the WTG soundtrack

I wonder how well WTP and WH would have fared on the singles charts and I also wonder how many more copies the TB album would have sold with 7 "hit" singles.

not to mention we probably might have got another two videos!!

  5. I agree. I'm a former collector addict. The only thing I have left in my life is my Madonna shit.

How do I let go of it? I don't want it. If I could meet a serious Madonna collector, who I could give to and I knew they'd treat it well - I'd give it all away tomorrow.

    How do I find one?

I'm raising my hand as high as I can

  6. Seeing as we have been on the subject of Pat Leonard

1: Didn't Madonna scrap the production that Leonard produced for his Ray of Light tracks and go with William Orbit to produce the whole record but obviously with input from Marius Devries and Pat Leonard on their respective tracks. I'm 100 % certain of this and I remember she was scared to tell Leonard in particular but her gut was telling her that she was making the right decision and she went ahead with the changes as the album would have had a LA Peter Gabriel vibe when she was more interested to go for a more electronica sound.

Well we all know now with the benefit of hindsight that she made the right decision. She swept the Grammy's amongst other awards show's and shifted almost 20 million copies of Ray of Light.

    2. My second point is and I am to this day, a little embarrassed that I don't know the answer to it or I do but just have forgotten. Where did I'll Remember come from??? Was it an EROTICA outtake ( and please don't just say No to this one because it doesn't deal with sexual matter of fact because neither did Rain and that still made the cut), was it just a random track from the vaults that when she was asked to contribute to the With Honors soundtrack, she remembered it and thought it would be perfect. There are also a couple of you out there who think she got together with Leonard specifically to write a track for the film and I'll Remember is the fruits of their labours.

hey Rugbyguy! I understand your doubt on where the hell did I'll Remember came from in 1994 being that the last time she had worked with Pat Leonard at that time was I'm Breathless in 1990. I think it's true that she wanted to do some damage control for Erotica and the movie was his friend Keshishian's, but then why with Patrick Leonard? Simple: he was in charge for the soundtrack of the movie. So it was all pretty much up for grabs. Keshishian probably was dying to get Madonna to do a song for his second movie (his first being Truth Or Dare) to boost his product and she was eager to get a mild soundtrack standalone hit, then Patrick Leonard doing the soundtrack feels like every pieced fitted in. Even Keshishian directed the video afterwards.

  7. I did dream several times with her. The last one was that I was at the back of a stadium where she was performing ALL OF HER TOURS one after the other and we were right at the intermission between Blond Ambition and Girlie Show. I remember going through the tour merch in a kiosk

  8. I have many Blond Ambition DVDS in my collection. I am going to share DVD's as torrents. I am hoping to find some rare gems and hook the Madonna lovers up with some of mine as well.
