First thing I don't want for the next Madonna album is a leak of unfinished songs or demos, so that we could have expectations and comments on how to improve this or that and automatically build our own disappointment.
I don't want 20 songs either. It seems to me RH would have been a stronger album with 12 songs (even though we would all make different choices).

Well, I'm not so sure about how she would look for there are 1000 ways to have short hair or at least not to have long hair (even with hat or bun like here....) so you never know !
-
Is this considered short hair ? It fits her I guess...
-
My point is that if you love so much the demos is because the leaked versions were in your head by the time the official album came out. You're underestimating the fact that you were used to those leaked demo versions...
Most of the songs had bad fan reviews because of the leaks when they discovered the actual album ! It was like they didn't want to discover the songs, but to judge them by the light of what they were projecting & expecting because of the leaks.
So I hope she has learnt from that lesson : protect your songs from leaking and spoil the fun and surprise... and get unfinished versions in the head of fans so they'll be disappointed when true versions are released...
That being said, it can be that demos can be found better than album versions... I'm not saying it can't be.

There can always be exceptions, but you wouldn't say so if there hadn't been the leaks.

Case in point being that most of the RH demos ended up sounding much better than the final versions.
I don't agree with this.
Those who think demos were better is because of the leaks and the fact that they had demo versions in their heads before the definitive versions came officially and they get used to them.
I would'nt describe RH as an overproduced album.

Yes, it's a damn good article !!

Love this song so much. Oh I got tears during the concert.
Think about the tears you would have got if it had been the actual Brit version, so much powerful...

I love TUTR, song & video.
I like it even better live on the mdna tour.

This week she kind of erased the Olympia fiasco a little in France...

One of my fav from the beginning...

It's funny because I was at the gym the other time and I was just thinking the opposite. How, clearly, her voice completly fit the uptempo version but seems out of place on the album version...
In the end, I guess it's all a matter of taste.
No, sometimes in the demo, the voice is really out of place. You feel it was not meant to be like that.
She would have sung it differently on a beat like the demo one, obviously.
-
I heard the demo first. I liked it, but it was very LQ. Then she released the album and WAOM was totally changed. It's not a bad song, but it's just too slow for me. It doesn't go anywhere.. that been said, I'm also happy she didn't release the Avicii version. It would have been dated much more sooner and sounds more Avicii than Madonna track.
Well, if you didn't hear the demo first, you would'nt think it too slow.
Those leaks sure didn't help anything...
-----
In the Avicci remix, it's quite obvious that her voice doesn't really fit the song although remaining a catchy dance song.
Gorgeous ballad for me. I need a good break though... I miss it

It still is an incredible pop song. So is Say Say Say, one of MJ's biggest hit.
MATM:
I don't care, I love this song... Ok, it's a minor song for Madonna, but it's a very good Britney song.
