  1. Madonnarama broke the news about the professional filming of four different performances at the opening show of the MDNA Tour in Tel Aviv on May 31st!

As we previously reported, those performances will be used to promote the tour using various partners around the world.

Now we can reveal that the four different songs are:

    - Girl Gone Wild

    - Express Yourself

    - Give me all your Luvin’

    - Turn up the Radio

Madonna is also trying to find time in her crazy schedule to film a real video for her forthcoming single Turn up the Radio, and not just a live performance of the song.

Let’s hope she’s able to make it happen!

That is GREAT news !!! :wow:

  2. Sexism makes her a target for society, but that's because society thinks she can handle it. She's always being discussed by media, she's so relevant, and that's fantastic and new for a 53 years old megastar. She's leading the way once again...

You're all being too dramatic. We have been told that MDNA has a lot to give with the tour and the next singles to be released, it still can sell throughout the year and luckily enough she's one hit away from topping the charts (especially with TUTR)in some countries (obviously not in the US). We can still wait a couple of months before starting hitting this kind of (no) promotion.

  3. I think we can agree "American Life" is not as instant/radio friendly/commercial/infectious whatever as "Frozen", "Music", "Hung Up" or "4 Minutes". Which means radio stations CAN decide if a song is worth pushing or not. I'm not naive to believe request are taken into account, but they most likely heard some not so welcome comments on the song as it was dropped out quite quickly and even in Europe it was far from as a hit as the other 4 songs I listed. It was not a flop because anything Madonna releases is given a chance (well at least up to now) in EU and since it wad released before the album it gathered decent sales, but the chart numbers show it was far from a huge hit. Reaching only #10 in Germany, France and Belgium is a clear sign of this.

I can agree on the fact that Al is not her most immediate hit, not one of her biggest hits either, but still it was a worldwide hit... But that's not the point at all !

The point is the song was banned in the USA (when radio stations ALL respond in the same way, that should tell something !), and so were the next singles of the album. Although you may consider they were bad too ?!

That is not an explanation to me, as long as she gets to be played elsewhere. There is a problem for her music to get through and be heard in America, as a matter of fact !

  4. The song wasn't very good! And it had no political statement. Reviews also slated the song and and the album, internationally too. I suppose you think there was some conspiracy there as well.

The only thing the song had going for it was the controversy of the video. And nobody saw that. Madonna didn't even include it on Celebration, because even alot of fans did not like the song. It's really that simple.

That's only your opinion on the song... Of course it's because of the video and her global statement on Bush and Iraq that made her banned. She was said to be anti-US. You can't pretend ignoring that she was becoming controversial in America.

It's not a matter of the song being considered bad (and only in the US !). That's laughable !

  5. There was no boycott. American Life was given a shot at radio and it didn't work. People didn't like it.

    That simple, really ?

People didn't like it...People that had the power to make the song and what she had to say disapear... Of course the message could'nt be popular at that time (look how they laughed at the "Bush years" in the Letterman show today, though), but it seems too simple to say that people as a whole didn't like it, that's impossible.

Obviously she was banned with no airplay at that time, because of her politic statement.

I still don't undestand how Pitbull can get airplay today in the USA with his dance song, and nothing for Celebration.

It's not a matter of music style to me !

  6. Exactly! So true. Madonna does nothing to deserve airplay. If you turn on the TV in the US you're gonna see artists on each and every show trying to promote their music. The competition is huge. You should try hard to have airplay.

She doesn't do more in Europe, and she gets airplay there. The competition is the same !

Promotion will be good, it can only help and raise interest, but the airplay she's getting can't be an answer to her not promoting her music. That would be way too simple and I don't want to tell myself that anyone could get airplay thanks to promotion...

  7. It seems to me that some made a big deal with out of the technical problems, way too much I think !

Yes, there are some problems with MUSIC, but it is still enjoyable. It does not spoil the whole thing.

Besides, I thing the remasterisation is fantastic, including for MUSIC (apart from the few clings), it sounds great. That's too bad having these clings, but it can be fixed in the futur,I guess !

Even more unfair is the technical problem reported for HOLLYWOOD. I guess you can only hear the end of AMERICAN LIFE here if you want too...

The real problem for me is the EROTICA edit... here, they did fuck up !

Too bad once again, 'cause it all sounds great.

What a good compilation, and what a great carreer... That's what must be said listening to CELEBRATION !

  8. Too many great moments... I'm still amazed by her and her carreer. And I can't wait for more !

It seems every period is different, exciting and new, no one can predict what her music, her looks will be in 1 year... All i can say is that after so many years I do trust her for the final result to be good. I don't judge by advance knowing who she's gonna work with.

    Favorute Tour : BAT

    Favorite album: AL

Favorite songs : Like a Prayer, Erotica, Love Profusion, Give It 2 Me, Who's That Girl...

Favorite Looks: really it's impossible to tell !

  9. I can't stop listening to REVOLVER ! It's infectious, yes ! Very catchy, very well produced (even if it's Britney-like), it has good lyrics, that works well with Madonna.

I'm crazy for the part I lined 'em up and wach them faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal.

Very consistant, the best of the new three songs for me !

  10. The chorus subtly borrows from Mirwais' song "Junkie's Prayer".

Are you sure about that ? I didn't notice... I guess I have to listen to Mirwais song again !

I Like IT'S SO COOL very much. Perfect as a bonus track for me !
