  1. Uhmm, seeing those numbers, I see Kylie has only had 3 hit albums in the UK.

What was really funny was that TIC was released in 1990, spent 9 weeks at number one and was the biggest selling album of that year. Then in 1991, it was number 8 in the top albums of the year. In 1992, Kylie released her GH and it was number 70 in the year end chart, one place ahead of Madonna's two year old GH album. :chuckle:

  2. 392k

Most of those sales were from supermarkets and discount record stores where it was selling for £1.99/2.99 from mid-2004 due to the overambitious overshipments. To think the Kylie loons were calling American Life a flop when it only did around 340k - a flop by Madonna's standards yes but a massive triumph by Kylie's :lmao:

  3. X top 20 with a 14% increase in sales is still a SHIT result - they're advertising it in high profile, costly slots. The album will still fail to do 300k by the end of the year which makes it one BIG IPB ImageFIPB ImageLIPB ImageOIPB ImagePIPB Image

Oh and if anything proved that Kylie is a singles act it's the fact that people buy a track from her latest album as a download rather than the mid-priced album itself. :lmao:

  4. Its a good song. But it could have been recorded by anyone and it would have been a hit.

But that's true of all of Kylie's hits; in fact it's true of her non-hits, they could have been hits had a decent singer recorded them.

Will Parlophone now have to "rush release" a physical of Wow in a desperate attempt to save the DEBACLE that is X-Crement?

  5. Well they're throwing more money at it by advertising it in peak slots with Wow added to the commercial and clips from White Diamond which they also state is available.

It really is a massive disaster. How anyone thinks it's going to do 500k in the UK is beyond me - it will be lucky to do 250k by the end of the year so there's no way it will repeat that once the peak sales period is over. The album will be in the bargain bins throughout January and then superseded by new releases once February kicks in.

Let's not forget that COADF did 80 per-cent of it's sales in 2005 and despite having a second number one single, two further top 10 hits, a world tour and a few high profile appearances/performances, it sold very little in 2006.

  6. Not really. Someone choosing to be a LOON of an act like Kylie is very, very different than someone choosing to be a LOON of a true artist like Madonna. To be nuts about a second-rate act like Kylie is to be very, very foolish and slightly retarded. Being nuts about Madonna however, is perfectly understandable. She's *incredible*.

Being a Kylie loon is comparable with someone being a Madonna loon, in relation to her career as an actress.

  7. :rotfl: at X-crement's PLUMMET

The repeat of The Kylie Show didn't help then.

This is a MEGA FLOP - the album has been HYPED for months in advance of its release and was touted as the BIG COMEBACK of the year and all it's achieved (following massive promo) is less than 200,000 sales during the biggest market of the year :lmao:

  8. I imagine the tantrum in this forum is Madonna announced a Christmas album. Holocaust among fans!

Remember the rumour that she was going to record an album of lullabies after Lourdes was born - that was before internet forums had really got going but the reaction on those alt.fan groups was hysterical. :demonic:
