5% is all she holds in terms of publishing rights. For "Love Won't Wait", that's because of the deal she reached with Shep Pettibone. For MATM, it's because she only contributed a small section to the song. For most of her other recordings, she has a 50% publisher's share.....
Hey Britney, you say you wanna lose control
Come over here I got something to show you
5% for THAT

TAB tanked in her biggest market, the UK so it cannot be rank alongside LAV, even though it DESERVES to be.

Actually, it was Pat Leonard who was made about the remixed songs on The Immaculate Collection - particularly Shep's new version of "Like A Prayer" which was more frothy and house-oriented than the rock-gospel original.
Actually, Pat gave an small interview to Rolling Stone circa 1990 (maybe 1991) in which he was asked about the next Madonna album and he said he would only work on it if she signed a clause to say she wouldn't remix the tracks for single release. He must have been well pissed when he succummed for the ROL album only to have M and Orbit rework Frozen

I've not heard BTI much so for it to hit top 40 on downloads is good.
-
Is the Britney song in the top 40 her new single?
-
So Estelle and Sam Sparro are her main competition so my peak of 3 prediction seems right.
-
40. (25) X (Kylie Minogue) 17 wks
It's DOWN to 60 in the current midweeks.
-
Of course she will be number one, because on the week when the physical single is released
Physicals alone don't guarantee her a number 1 otherwise everyone of her lead singles would hit the top. I predict an ultimate peak of number 3.
-
The sales are great and the fact that it's continuing to rise shows it's not just sales to loons. That said, it WON'T be number 1.
-
it will all depend on how today's sales hold up.
-
AGREED but they won't.
-
Yeah they've essentially FUCKED UP its chances by having such a huge gap between the download and the physical release and not releasing the video at the same time as the download.
-
they banned you and debord for your posts into this topic
Banned us from where - surely not their forum where I haven't posted since January. Oh DEAR, that's me DONE FOR then.
-
If they got the video out there it would certainly ensure a number 1 otherwise it will all depend on momentum and whether the track catches on beyond her fanbase.
-
Well it's nice to know that having a new forum hasn't changed them.
Noticed how they're starting to DRIFT BACK, not that they ever stopped LURKING
-
Aren't Wednesday's midweeks up to midnight on Tuesday or has it changed since downloads?
-
Itunes UK - #2
that guarantees a top3 position on the final chart this Sunday
DISAPPOINTING

-
Bryan Adams still has a fanbase
-
Any midweeks yet?

I think they are over at the forum Riverwide started?? I registered and lasted about an hour, it was an ego wankfest unfortunately. When '4 Minutes' first leaked they were all falling over themselves to be the one who hated it most in that tiresome 'we're not loon Madonna fans we tell it like it IS' way.
-
Where are Riverwide and JohnnoX these days? Anyone know?
They stormed off in a HUFF along with a few others at the end of last year
-
Even if it stayed at 19 all week, it would definitely chart. Since it's leapt 20 places in one day though I'd say a Top Twenty, perhaps even Top Ten debut isn't out of the question.
Well if that does happen then they need to debut the video, NOW.
-
I heard it first on Irish Radio this morning, then Capital FM.
19 on UK itunes is ADEQUATE - I wonder if it will chart on Sunday.

It's peak will be number 3 - there's no way she'll overtake Sam Sparro or Estelle. They were playing a chart run down on one of the music channels on Saturday and they itnroduced Sam Sparro by saying that, unlike Madonna, this one has a video.
Shit strategy by Warners.
