Like a Virgin though OBVIOUSLY a classic Madonna song is such cheeeeese to me at this point.
That's why when Will.I.Am or however the fuck you spell his goddamn name, I can never get it right, came out at the Billboard Awards and said his personal favorite Madonna song was Like a Virgin, I was like, seriously? Out of all the classic groundbreaking pop songs she created after that, Like a Virgin is the BEST you could come up with? Please.

I agree with IsaacHarris.
Actually, the only one around lately who kind of has an "aura" would be Lana Del Rey, yet her imagery wouldn't match a JML but hey, coiuld anyone predict this song would exist based upon M's early career ?

Totally agree, i love that song (glad to see we agree on a lot of things lol).
It has that quality Gang Bang also has, you know, when you can picture some violent/agressive scenery and all. Both are very visual songs.

She's not really in a position to rally against capitalism given she's peddling gyms, shoes, perfumes, underwear and now another clothing line.
Human Rights is a different argument. It all looks very hollow at the moment but I assume something massive will come along at some point this year and then we may be able to get a better perspective.
Human Rights has been her thing for... well, forever, but I feel she gets more and more involved in this these past years, I'm thinking about her Ellen DeGeneres interview via satellite some years ago
