  1. The stage is being build right now as we speak/post. Here's a report from someone from the M Tribe forum who went for a look today:

Hi guys Ive just been down to the stadium and it is manic there! The crew are working hard putting the finishing touches to the stage. There seems to be at least 3 screens on or above the stage, one is a circular screen in the center, and the side screens are huge.

I spoke with a security guy that works for the stadium and he said Madonna and crew will be in Cardiff from the weekend. He also told me that there are two platforms that come out at each side of the stage. He aslo stated this was the biggest production he has seen at the stadium.

The crew seemed to be putting something together in the middle of the stage. I took some more photos which are crappy and long distance but I wouldnt have a clue how to post them on ere. I will send them to the site.

Any Cardiff fans going down for a peek, best view is from gate 6 behind Vue Cinema, you can see straight through, great view.

  2. Sorry but this show is to promote HARD CANDY.

Hard Candy, is over. It did pretty well over the world (selling almost 3 million) but don't expect it to sell much more.

You Must Love Me was an hit, just like Hung Up.

    Ehh, sorry but, no.

No matter how much the rock version is bad, it still sounds like HU.

So? It's still bad. One of the worst things she has ever done (imo).

Have you ever been to a Madonna's show?

Yes, I have. Had a great time!

  3. The first 2 section look like they could be great fun. The other 2 section not so much. People are paying A LOT of money to see the best show in the whole world and they expect all the hits. Not unknown songs like Spanish Lesson, that Doli song, You Must Love Me or M standing in front of a mic playing guitar (raping Hung Up) while some video is being shown behind her.

Oh well, maybe being there, in concert, it isn't that bad.. (I hope)

  4. M Tribe:

Earlier this week, the online website of WWD exclusively premiered infos about the costumes for Madonna's forthcoming "Sticky & Sweet Tour". We learnt Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci designed two outfits and sketches were revealed.French site tf1.lci.fr has just premiered another Tisci's sketch.

Riccardo Tisci about his collaboration with The Queen of Pop:

I feel incredibly fortunate to have been given the opportunity to offer the world of Givenchy Haute Couture to Madonna the Icon, the Artist, the Woman for whom I have so much respect and admiration.”

  5. M Tribe forum:

You Must Love Me, according to my taste LOL, is one of the most beautiful things ever. It is arranged with beautiful Tzigan violins and the accordeon.

It has a beautiful violin intro that reminds of the intro of I Surrender Dear, the old song used in Bloodhounds of Broadway, which, I think, shares a lot of melody with You Must Love Me.

  6. M Tribe forum:

People who were worried about the Candy Shop intro, don't worry, the song has a longer intro now, with bits and pieces of other songs (4 minutes, give it to me, etc) sort of DWT intro that goes into the C-A-N-D-Y thingy you heard at the promo tour.

Give it to me as the last number is a bit different musically from the album version and the promo tour version (which was basically the album version) even if it's not any of the remixes and it has a slightly longer ending build up in the same way Hung Up was on Confessions. I guess M will be doing her "people in the back GIVE IT 2 ME", "people on the front say GIVE IT TO ME" etc.

The interlude before 4 minutes is like a Sorry Confessions Tour interlude, with not only bits of Give It To me as I said, but also some Tick Tocks and bits from Beat Goes On.

Millennium Stadium Reserved For A Whole Month For Madonna

The official site for the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff has announced that the venue is reserved for Madonna for almost the whole month of August 2008 and they are not accepting any bookings for other events.

What you can read on the site is: "Due to preparation for Madonna's Sticky & Sweet Tour Concert at the Millennium Stadium, please note that there will be NO TOUR BOOKINGS between August 1st and August 27th 2008 INCLUSIVE."

It is still not clear if this hints Madonna herself will be rehearsing at Millennium Stadium weeks before opening night.

and now this was posted at the Tribe forum:

I noticed today while outside the millenium stadium that there were lots of trucks going into the stadium, i dunno if this has anything to do with Madonna but I do know that nothing else is going on there. When I get a chance I will take a walk along the embankment and look thru to see if any kind of stage building is going on.

    and

When Madonna does come to rehearse it will be easy to hear her from outside, last time she was in Cardiff we could hear her rehearse very clear. And you can see into the stadium from the embankment, Im sure they will have screens up but last time i remember taking a stroll past and seeing the stage for the first time with the big horses and watched them elevate the balloons to the ceiling. The millenium stadium is not the most discreet place to rehearse.
  8. More awful rumours from Tribe:

LAP is indeed going to replace a song, unfortunately, but not one of the classics. It will be a dance version, sort of like the Madhouse cover, but better of course (it will be done like Music Fedde Le Grand, on the base of another song). And of course the lovely Nicky Richard will sing the Niki Harris bit.

    :megamanson:

    ANOTHER mash up?! :americanlife:

  9. MadonnaTribe has heard there has been a little change in the Sticky & Sweet Tour setlist. The 1989 classic song Like A Prayer, an all time fan favourite, has been recently added to the list of songs rehearsed by Madonna for the tour that were already reported by MadonnaTribe News.

Give It 2 Me tops Dutch chart

She did it again! Madonna is the official number 1 in Holland in this week's Top 40 charts with Give it 2 Me. Her second number 1 hit of the same album, which has never happened before in Holland. This is only Madonna's fifth number 1 hit in Holland, congratulations! Yes, she did it again, news just came in Madonna will be on the nr 1 spot in the Dutch 'top 40' this week !! Previous number ones were: Into the groove, Who's that girl , Hung Up and 4 minutes.

In the meanwhile 4 Minutes drops from 14 to 17.

  11. "Apparently there won't be a video intro like in the previous tour, and that they may do that Candy letter at the beginning as well. I've asked my sources and I've been told that "as of now" Candy shop and the tour intro is just like the promo tour. I'm sure we will have a different costume."

:lmao::manson: Why doesn't this surprise me anymore?

Can't wait for the Champagne bottle/kissing dancer act..... :manson::manson:
