Never thought of this but "Rebel Spirit" sounds so much better as an album/song title than "R**** H****". I wouldn't mind that. I still hate the world "rebel" though.

Yeah, if that's Madonna, I don't really like the fact that she's doing what Yoncé did. People will notice that and maybe I'm too paranoid but I wouldn't want the "Madonna copies Beyoncé" thing to overshadow the music. I understand it's edgy and cool and many other artists will do it, but I hope M doesn't do it exactly like Yoncé did. But whatever really. If the music blows my mind and the album is not named R**** H****, I'm happy.

Katy must have done her Madonna homework since she added "besides the present" at the end of the question.
We all know when Madonna is asked about her favorite video, or the best time in her life, or her best album, 99% of the time she always says whatever is the most present and new.
Katheryn seems like a proper fan.This is why I'm so excited that they've done a photoshoot (and probably more) together. At least I know M is working with someone who genuinely appreciates her work and influence and is not only saying nice words about Madonna just to be polite. And Madonna herself can probably sense that.

IMO the main difference between Katy "copying" Madonna and Joanne COPYING Madonna is that Katy seems like the type of fan that enjoys talking about how Madonna and her work inspired her and that actually doesn't mind being called a Madonna wannabe because she knows that that's what every present/future pop singer will be, basically. She knows there will never be another M.
Joanne, on the other hand, is more like the "Me? Inspired by Madonna? I don't know what you're talking about" type of "fan".
And it's so obvious. When have Katy or Rihanna been so blatantly accused by the GP of copying Madonna? Joanne just took the word "wannabe" to a whole other level.
