  1. Wow, you're rude. Very sad that someone who's probably much older than me has to insult me to defend himself. That's tragic. Anyway I don't like Miley Cyrus and I really don't like Katy Perry, but I RESPECT their effort. I'm sorry if thought you were talking about something else but calling soneone "cunt" is a sign of pure immaturity which is present among many people on this board. Also, I'm a guy so the word "cunt" might have been the wrong word to choose.

Right, so it's okay for you to make a rude comment to me first implying I said something when I said nothing of the sort. Gotcha...

  2. Do you really think it was that different 30 years ago? I mean yeah things have changed but ever since the music industry was created music has been created to be a product AND an expression or art form. Who are you to decide what is art and what isn't?

I was referring to Glinda's comments about the concept of an album being increasingly irrelevant and the industry becoming more about releasing individual songs you stupid cunt. I could care less whether you consider Molly Cyrus and kitty Perry's music art or not so fuck off and leave me out of your child's play

  3. Yes, and furthermore, while the specific release date may have been a suprise, it was well established that Beyonce would be releasing an album. I thought it was a bit of a mess at the time, but when she performed for the Super Bowl, they just had print banners in the stores that had her image for the Super Bowl ads (close-up face with the under-eye paint on her cheeks), with "ALBUM IN 2013" ... granted, she waited almost as long as you could before it wouldn't be 2013 anymore, but ... yeah. It wasn't exactly a "surprise." I'm not saying it wasn't an exceptional release in several ways, but ... people act like it was the most phenomenal release in history and a game-changer for the industry. That's hyperbole.

Not to mention, beyonce was the performer, the management came up with the release strategy not her. Anyways I digress... Back to more important things, like MADONNA!

  4. No, I disagree. The same could be said for any art form where someone has taken a major gamble in that case. That's equivalent to saying Goddard's Breathless didn't usher in French New Wave because a director could simply have done that style of filmmaking before him, or that Peter Jackson doesn't deserve credit for filming The Lord of the Rings trilogy back to back (thus starting that trend in filmmaking).

The fact that she and her team were able to film videos for an entire album and keep it secret is incredible. She did change how albums can be released and will be given credit for that in the long run. iTunes is already making plans to duplicate the "Beyoncé" model, so obviously she has changed things imao.

lol oh child. don't confuse art with MARKETING. what beyonce('s team) did with iTunes was marketing, not inventing a new fucking art form...seriously, i just can't

  5. That's fair and I wish there was a 24 news cycle of just Madonna.

Perez isn't always the most reliable source of news but it's probably likely that Madonna will just drop the single and not give a specified date. Beyoncé has changed how things can be done

Beyonce changed how things can be done?! Please, she didn't change shit. Anyone major act could've done that before her...they just didn't.
