In all fairness, most of her photo shoots have always been VERY inspired by other previous photo shoots (for instance, she took quite a bit from dietriches). That's really what her creative process has always been like. She consciously picks pieces right and left and assemble them like a puzzle as opposed as it coming from her, from her unconscious (what artists do). Same w the music. For instance, GMAYL's chorus was VERY inspired by a brazilian song. She often takes pieces of songs she likes from obscure artists and assemble them with others like a puzzle.

    Is that a fact? 🤔

Beautiful Game listed as a 2018 single release on the UK New Music Release Schedule. UK chart experts -- these lists are usually pretty reliable, no?

image.gifNo new album listed for 2018 or early 2019, though. Single release this year, album next?

This just proves what we already know: THERE HAS BEEN NO OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION OF ANYTHING

  3. Personally, I’m good with the album coming out whenever it’s gonna come out this year or next, when she thinks it’s ready. I think the difficult part is just that she regularly made reference to it throughout most of the year, building up a huge amount of anticipation and momentum within her fan base  and now it’s been nary a mention of it for quite some time. It’s the not knowing what the hell is going on with it that’s the most painful, not the waiting for the release. At least if the momentum that had been built up continued at the same pace uninterrupted people might not be having this level of panic and frustration we’re experiencing right now. May she have mercy on us and throw us a bone soon!

Absolutely. I was talking more about the fans, like on here, who are actively waiting for the album day-to-day. We may be sick of hearing nothing but that will disappear the minute the campaign starts. I'm sure everyone here will be buying the album regardless of how bored we are now.

The numbers are definitely dwindling but if it's due to impatience, there's still a good chance that those numbers will come back when the album is there.

    Yes, true enough!

Jesus Christo..... Michael Jackson was a child molester and died of an overdose and retained his legend status.  Prince did absolutely nothing noticeable for the last 20 years of his life and is still a legend.  Elton John's music has sucked for nearly thirty years and is still a legend.  Aretha Franklin had a star studded funeral and is revered and hasn't  had a top ten song since when?  Legend... Cher's music for the last fifteen years makes your ears bleed and she is a legend.  Whitney was a bigger mess than most as was George Michael and both are legends... When was Bowie's last hit?  Legend...  stop being so fucking dramatic.  The general public really loves Madonna even if they do not know that she made records after the Music album...  maybe Ray of Light.  Madonna is a legend.  The fact that we are discussing relevance after 36 years is the final decree on the subject.  LEGEND

Uhm what post were you reading? I never fucking questioned her relevance or her status as a musical legend. At all. I said she should never take fans buying her album for granted and disregard them. And I would say the same about any artist, legend or not. No one was fucking discussing her cultural relevance or lack thereof.

It's only really the hardcore fans that are losing their patience - and it's the hardcore fans that will buy the album regardless.

To assume this and take it for granted at this stage of her career would absolutely and unequivocally be the biggest fucking possible mistake Madonna could make. The hardcore fans, quite frankly, are the only ones that truly give a shit anymore and the numbers of them are dwindling. Showing disregard for her hardcore fans  would totally spell the end of the road. Stupid.

the question is ... is America ready for a new sound of music ?

Radios are so important nowadays more than in the 80's or 90's.

And Madonna said she is going to break the pattern in terms of music, but how will she make her new sound played on the radio ?  because if the songs are not in a certain format, radios won't be playing it ....

i don't know how she will do, without the help of rappers, hip-hop dudes, huge social media fanbase (twitter, insta, etc) etc...

Then again, Xtina had some rappers and current producers and was still a flop... so it doesn't necessarily assure to be played on the radio...

I guess as long as the song is catchy and current....
