I'm just a very opinionated person, that's all. I mean no harm. I'll still go see her when she's 60. I kinda wish she was coming back to NYC for a second go around. I say I don't like HC, but still can't wait for the DVD. Go figure.

:scared: Because of this success, we probably won't get a tour until about 2012 or 2013. By then Holiday and Borderline will be 30 yrs old and we'll all still yearn for her mega hits and won't get them. Maybe in 2018 we'll get another "Reinvention" type tour. Hopefully no more plastic surgery. She looked actually younger during the CT and that was only two years ago I hope she changes her hair for this leg. She looked fine during the promos for HC and again, looked younger.

It's true about the nausea LOL! It's also hard to focus on anything going on during the show because the viewing angle changes every two seconds. I was extremely disappointed with the way it was filmed. Then again, i'm the nostalgic type that enjoys how concerts were filmed in the 80's and 90's. Even though they might have been pre-recorded, they still maintained the look of being "live". ie WTG before it was merged with three different shows.

Yeah that was one thing I didn't like about the tours that were directed by Price. The drummer was terrible on RIT and CT. DWT wasn't that bad because she had a percussionist like she had used on her tours in the late 80's and 90's. It makes a big difference when the music actually sounds live and not coming out of a computer. I like the drummer on S&S, it sounds like a real drum. The DJ is totally pointless and corny IMO. I have no problem with her guitar player, he's been with her since DWT. The new music director annoys me because he worked with JT, Brittney and Timbaland and I'm used to M working with non-commercial people that bring a unique sound to her live shows, not the same generic sound you would hear at a JT concert or Nelly Furtado show.

I don'y think Price's reinventions were failures. They were reinvented yet still had the feel of the original, ie Vogue, Express Yourself, LAP, Into the Groove. Unlike the S&S ITG, it sounds weak and is almost unrecognizable.

Love M but the setlist and band would keep me away even if she came back to NY for a second leg. The idea of the DJ on the stage just bopping his head around and destroying a classic like "Into the Groove" is enough reason to stay way. There's too much timbaland influence in the band. The music director and that new background singer to replace Donna is definitely influenced by Timbaland.

I hope this DVD has the feel of a live show unlike Confessions. I get nausea watching it because of the quick cuts in camera angles, slow motion and added screen effects, and her voice is TOO crisp. I'll take the raw look from WTG tour over the overly enhanced Confessions DVD and it's fun to hear crowd reaction in the background during the numbers.

I'm new here and I got hooked reading all the posts on the S&S tour since about early August, and I think this site is great. Anyway, I think there are some songs that she should drop or at least rearrange some of the music. I actually like Spanish Lesson but the coreography is boring so that should change. That Doli Doli can go cause it's pointless, she could sing something else in it's place even if she has to lip sync the song to rest. Heartbeat is okay but to me it's not the kind of song that sounds good live. It sounds like the CD is playing instead of a band. Music sounds awful and boring and it was fun at DWT. I was at the DWT and we all went wild for it in NJ but that was almost eight years ago. I would love to see Madonna one more time before she retires from touring but I'm afraid to shell out tons of money to hear the same songs over and over again. I don't mind Holiday because that was always a given at her shows and people go crazy when it comes on. Vogue can stay in the set cause she actually sings it live and it's not too dramatic like RIT. I Like BGO but wish the Kanye West rap was taken out. It messes up the flow of the song in my opinion. I'm still a fan but I can't wait until the Hard Candy era is over for good. I actually miss Stuart Price on this tour. I didn't like his direction at first but after hearing the music on S&S and then hearing the music from the tours Price worked on, I actually wish he did this tour instead of the guy she has now. Too bad she is using the same crew again.
