On the first listen I thought Medellín was just okay, it was nice, but after about six listens, I now think it's an amazing song with a great melody that keeps growing on me with each listen. There is quite a lot going on in the track, and you hear something new with each listen.. It takes time to grow on you. I find it's like that with a lot of Madonna's songs, though, and they usually end up being her best songs, imo. It was the same with American Life initially, and that was a song that took longer to grow on me, but I now think it's a great track. I just want to add that I love her vocals on Medellín.

OMG, I'm loving this. The sound, the aesthetics, it's amazing, and so different. What's more, I feel that with Madame X we're getting to heart of what Madonna is really all about.

Seriously radio?!! Nobody and mean nobody I know listens to normal radio anymore. Podcasts and streaming is everything now. Maybe radio is still a thing in America but in Europe I don't think so.
Agree!

"Clinging to relevancy"? but they wrote a long article about her. LOL, and I'd never even heard of Maluma until Madonna started working with him. So there's no chance Maluma might be using M to help along his career? Hmm.

"Forbidden fruit." That's the first thought that came into my head when I saw the picture of the apple.

I actually like it that Madonna has taken her time with this album. It gives her time to explore, ruminate or add to what's already been done. I don't think anything is good if it has been rushed. It shows she's really thinking carefully about this album, and that's good. RH was rush released because of all the leaks and I always think it could have been a different album if had been released when it was meant to be. I don't know what we'll get, but it sounds like she's taking a big risk with this next musical project, but I think it'll be something from the heart, not something to appeal to the masses or to tap into any trend.

Get ready for armageddon. There's a shitstorm on the way.

15? She's a child. I agree with Jaron.

One of her best, most intriguing videos, imo.

I hope there's some Ray of Light material on the tour.
-
I've been rockin' out to that mash up ever since it was released. I hope she performs it on tour.
-
Anybody heard this? I came across this yesterday before Madonna posted a clip of herself playing it on her guitar. I'm sure she's heard it and liked it. "Whole Lotta Love" is my favorite Led Zep track, and I'd love it she performed this mash up on the tour.
I apologize if somebody's already posted this.

It is now a favorite of mine.

Wow, she is smokin' hot!

I don't mind Howard, but yeah, he can be an asshole. He tends to wind up his interviewees, which I think he does for entertainment value. He's not the best choice to interview Madonna, because he'll ask her a lot of questions that are sure to be unrelated to her career.

I play it a lot. One of the best songs on American Life.

BTW - I love the new photos. Always knew she appreciated the art of John Willie and Irving Klaw.

One reason she gets so much hate is because people are mad that she's proved them wrong SO many times.
Since she arrived on the scene, critics and people in general have been predicting her demise and failure. It happens EVERY time she does something new. They say she's done, has gone too far, is too offensive, too old, too naked, irrelevant, not talented ... on and on.
And yet she continues to thrive and be more successful than any other person in the game. This infuriates people. She;s made them look fucking stupid for three decades now. Nobody can match her work ethic and drive and smarts and people are so irritated by that they can't admit they were wrong. Round and round we go. Fuck em.
Exactly my thinking as well, and it's the reason why I don't care for what the critics say anymore; it's a waste of time responding to it, and I'd rather have them talk about her than ignore her.

Falling Free.
Kind of in that sad sort of mood at the moment and this song fits it.

"La Isla Bonita" from DWT. New favorite: "Turn Up The Radio" from The Paris Olympia

Gypsy segment in S&S, La Isla from The Girlie Show and Drowned World/Substitute for Love from the Confessions tour; there's something about it, and she sings it better live.

I love all the opposition. Madonna wouldn't be the artist she is today without them. And she knows it. That's why she thanked them in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame speech.
Absolutely! Agree with this.
-
I'm all for that. I love it when someone does what they fuckin' want and ignores the critics. If ya don't like, then move on! It doesn't matter what she does, there will be criticism.
She knows what she's doing, obviously, as she's still in the game. Not many can boast that.

Her 15 mins are over?
How many times has that been said? LMAO - Just look how many times she keeps bouncing back, Piers!
If I had been Guy, I would've grabbed the bread roll and shoved it right up his ass.
