  1. What makes you say that?

And I don't see the point in releasing tour versions at all, not on a Greatest Hits which is geared toward casual fans. Tour mixes might be bonus tracks, but they wouldn't replace the originals, tney're more for a rarities collection and I think they'd keep them as one off live tracks for the concerts to preserve the fact it was live.

yet they did it for The Immaculate Collection

When i look at TIC, i think of it as a soundtrack for Blond Ambition/Truth or Dare

The songs are remixed, very different than the album versions. Plus the songs that were performed on that tour, are pretty similar to the tour mixes.

I dont see the problem of adding in tour mixes in replace of the album/radio mixes. I think its a quite clever idea. But the idea shouldnt go overboard. I mean, mixes like Holiday RIT, Music Inferno, Into The Groove S&S shouldnt be added cause they are drastically different. Minimal changes like Secret from DWT or Burning Up from RIT could be added.

  2. What she ACTUALLY said was that she wouldn't be "running around in limos at 50". Don't make her repeat the lyrics of Give It To Me (or more to the point ask someone else what they are!):lmao:

For anyone not able to access the clip it's the one where she bare facedly denies saying saying exactly what she DID say and getting all arsey with John Norris over it who in turn gets all snippy with her. It's a little uncomfortable for both. Justin's a twat. And a stoned twat by the looks of it.

i just dont think she wanted him to bring up the number 50. i think she had a fear of topics about relevance and age and about the producers she worked with would be brought up and discussed. plus, she just desperatly wanted to get out of there.

i never saw that ending bit before, was def awkward, its kind like M's last interview with John Norris

  3. even the outtakes from this album are really good!!!

Your Honesty and Let Down Your Guard are great tracks. Freedom is pretty cool too. About Freedom, i remember in the Girlie Talk interview, Madonna mentioned on her next album she wanted to work with a live band for the album. I'd have to say, Freedom is the only track from the Bedtime Stories session that sounds like what M mentioned.

And i much prefer the original version of Id Ratha B Ya Lova, with Tupac. M'Shell's bass slows the song down.

  4. Nicely done? "Oh yeah, let's put bucketloads of stamp-sized pictures of Madonna, she's had so many looks. Oh yeah and let's have some 'ironic' write-up from some humourless Englishman friend of her husband's because, well, y'know, she's kinda English now."

It was lazy and, frankly, insulting to her legacy rather than "cool" (which it undoubtedly thought it was.)

wtf did the write up have to do with the design??

    nothing, absolutely nothing.

the design was simple and beautiful. love that she didnt shoot a new photoshoot for it.

its composed of nothing but Madonna. images throughout her career.

the colors, the logos, the fonts, the graphics, and the photos all work together.

heres a look at the Special Edition:

  5. I may be one of the few here who loves GHV2.

i think its a neat collection

it was released at the best time, fantastic design and such, and the megamix is wonderful

the only problem is the disc itself: the tracklist and the edits

other than that, it wonderfully showcases her "popular singles" from 1992-2001. Before the American Life era, i use to pop in my GHv2 disc all the time. I loved hearing all those tracks on 1 disc. I usually just kept it on shuffle.

  6. The only thing I know is that the GH is set to include the Oakenfold tracks only.

I am as-of-yet not aware of any re-recording of "Revolver".

    The track is done.

Any post-production changes do not involve Madonna.

Though it is true we may get an "album mix" and a "alternate remix" on the release.

all the other information sounds radical!

but if Revolver is not going to be put on the GH, then what was it recorded for? Im guessing its going to be released, but in support of what?????
