Well if this is true, why is Neutrocks saying he heard the album version and that it's different to this???
That's because it is different.
-
so then the mix for the video, we still have yet to hear???
-
It seems it's his own remix. Anna said this a while ago (about that fan recording thingy):
extended or not, it still is an oakenfold remix of the original edit which is set to be released. it was played on set for obvious reasons..
so then it's no by this benni banasi at all?
who started that rumor anyway??
-
i am soooo confused with these release dates.....
-
Anyway, whoopie, where do you see "La Isla Bonita", lyrics, I can't spot them.
you can see em in the top left hand corner
yea, its very hard to see, but you will see them. just keep staring, even if your eyes hurt.

I didn't deny that the image is attached to the article. My point is that the article didn't state that it was the cover. Just mentioned who did the artwork, and we just assume that is the album cover. And I am not saying it isn't. I'm just stating that technically there was no mention that it's the cover.
But dude, that was the mention. That was the confirmation that it was the official cover. Plus, if it wasnt the official cover, then Liz Rosenberg shouldnt have sent out a hi-res version to media outlets
-
Actually, Madonna.com never stated that it was the cover. Yes, they mentioned who designed the cover and yes, they provided artwork which we presume is the cover, but Madonna.com never stated it was the cover. But I understand why we would assume it is the cover, being it was tied to the article.
NOTE: I am not saying that it isn't the cover. I'm just pointing out that there was real official statement that it IS the cover.
(A copy of the cover image of the “Celebration” CDs and DVDs is attached)

Official myspace page banner
Like a Virgin, Lucky Star, Holiday, La Isla Bonita. Can anyone spot anyhthing else in that image?
-
Madonna is known for many things, and her ballads are one of them
-
And TUTBMP as well
the way i see it, You'll See will be included. And it's either TUTBMP or I'll Remember, not both. I betcha any money Warner is having a hard time deciding between those 2 tracks
Madonna: "When did i do this, "I'll Remember?"
-
Who's that girl will most likely be on it, without a doubt
-
Here is my new tracklisting - the realistic version
Disc One
1. Everybody (you can dance edit)
this i like, and it should be this way
but PLEASE leave q-sound off this compilation
-
This is what i came up with:
Disc 1:
Everybody
Holiday
Lucky Star
Borderline
Dress You Up
Like a Virgin
Material Girl
Into The Groove
Crazy For You
Live To Tell
Papa Don't Preach
Open Your Heart
La Isla Bonita
Who's That Girl
Like a Prayer
Express Yourself
Cherish
Vogue
Justify My Love
This Used To Be My Playground
Disc 2:
Erotica
Deeper and Deeper
I'll Remember
Secret
Human Nature
Take a Bow
You'll See
You Must Love Me
Frozen
Ray of Light
Beautiful Stranger
American Pie
Music
Don't Tell Me
Die Another Day
American Life
Hung Up
4 Minutes
Celebration
Revolver
American Pie was a big hit, but we all know that Madonna is not a fan of it. So, if it's not included, Give it 2 Me, Sorry, Bedtime Story, Rain, WIFLFAG, DCFMA, or even POG could be added in place. OR You could move TUTBMP over onto disc 2, and add in True Blue or Angel on disc 1.
-
Found on Fanzine, this is most likely NOT OFFICIAL, FAKE FAKE FAKE etc, but the tracklist seems to be very plausible to me, except "Cherish" & "TUTBMP" being replaced by "YMLM" and "Miles Away":
Fake. Look at the spine. Someone did a horrible cut job with the logo that they took from the front cover.
Will people ever learn???

The benny mix is cool indeed but seems lacking after repeated listens, maybe cause its missing some verses and a chorus. It would never work.
We have no idea if they edited the mix for the fans videoshoot so they wouldnt hear the full song

Here's what the people at MTV have to say.
As of now, NOTHING has been posted on the official MTV.com site......
BUT, here is what MTV Buzzworthy had to say (just a small tidbit):
Buzz Bites (7/23/09): ANOTHER GREATEST HITS CD FROM MADONNA? PERFECT!
+ Madonna's almost-former label Warner Bros. just announced that her fourth compilation CD, Celebration, will be released on September 28th. This will be the last commitment she has to fulfill with Warner and a video for the song "Celebration" will also be released soon. (Madonna.com)
They even posted this beautiful photo:
And here's what the dreadful MTV Newsroom Blog had to say:
Madonna Teams With Lil Wayne On New Compilation?
Posted 7/23/09 12:27 pm ET by Kyle Anderson in Music
Two years ago, Madonna signed a huge contract with Live Nation while still owing albums to Warner Bros., her longtime label. She'll be officially free of her contract on September 29 when she releases Celebration, her third greatest-hits compilation. The set will feature an as-yet-undetermined number of hits from her 27-year career, including her first single "Everybody" and hits like "Vogue" and "4 Minutes." A portion of the album was curated by fans via her manager's Twitter account, and it will feature two new tracks: The upcoming single "Celebration" and a new song called "Revolver" that is rumored to be a collaboration with Lil Wayne (though a track with that title has been floating around the Internet for a while, and it only features Madonna). The album cover (below) was created by Mr. Brainwash, a street artist best known for his grotesque parody paintings of celebrities.
The possibility of a Lil Wayne collaboration is intriguing. As much as Madonna has been tapped into the dance and R&B worlds for the length of her storied career, she's always been a little bit tone-deaf when it comes to hip-hop (just listen to her rap on "American Life" for proof). But on last year's Hard Candy, Madonna started to turn things around: She collaborated with Timbaland, the Neptunes and Danja on tracks that retained much of her cutting-edge dance pedigree and peppered it with a bit of street swagger. Here's hoping she enjoyed the Weezy collaboration so much that she looks into other duets. Wouldn't a Madonna/Jay-Z collaboration absolutely kill? Or her and 50 Cent (they've both produced songs called "Candy Shop," after all)?
What do you think: Is Madonna just jumping on the band wagon or does she seem to legitimately enjoy hip-hop? What rapper should be her next collaborator? Let us know in the comments or head over to Your.MTV.com to make yourself heard!

I think the 20 sec sounds freaking ridiculous dated stuff
It'd be ok for a Cascada single.. but NOT for a Madonna single and definitely not for a single that would somehow sum up a career full with quality music.
Maybe in full it would be better.. but if that 20 sec is already a turn-off, and it includes such an important segment of the song already.. then I doubt it would do any wonders in full.
I really hope they'll choose this benassi mix in the end
you should change your username to Cascada
-
SUCH a shame the Benny is remix only.
who knows what's gonna happen in the end
im just happy altogether with this release
-
It probably will be, but fuck that noise - I want "Erotica!"
The full Erotica video, not that 4 minute edit bullshit
I want the full length 5:12 video (i think thats the 5 minute length..)
What would be even better is if they included the "x-rated" nudie version.
-
I don't know if this has been posted but apparently this is the artwork for the single celebration:
source madonna electronica:
http://www.madonna-electronica.com/cgi-bin...gi?id_news=2292
(awaiting confirmation by Warner)
oh that is soooo fucking fake
and as someone previously mentioned, its poorly made
the lip, eye shadow, and hair coloring is NOT supposed to mix into the background. That's a big no no with this kind of art.
Secondly, whoever made it needs to buy a Photoshop How-To book, when you do this effect, you dont use a halftone pattern, you wont achieve anything. It makes your image b&w(though you want it b&w) and all it does is lay a pattern over the image. It doesnt give you a real color halftone pattern!
-
If the video and album version are different, i'm sure they won't be too far apart in sound.
have you heard the 20 sec clip?
its very different than the video mix
and we can only assume that the 20 second clip is the album version
-
i think its missing the whole "fire" bit, as heard in the beginning of the 20 sec
and personally, i dont want it to leak
-
this mix will be used for the music video apparently
the original mix stays on the album
then they better send out the video mix to radio, other wise there will be a huge fiasco!!!
im kinda getting the feeling that the 20 second clip was leaked by Warner to see our opinions. Maybe they'll release this new mix all together instead. (Based on the reception)
-
Hmm.. well rare in the sense of it being vinyl only. Do you have the Everybody edits as well? Post 'em! TheRain1981 would be interested. I seem to recall Madge complaining how awful the UK mix of Everybody by Rusty Egan of Visage was.
I much much much much MUCH prefer the You Can Dance mix of Everybody. Who did that one? Forrest Heller?
