  1. Pulling the song from ITUNES was the best idea. Warner Bros. sold the song for just a few hours. With the amount of downloads purchased and early radio airplay, Madonna should see a similar U.S. Billboard Hot 100 debut as "Give it 2 Me"(#57). Once "Celebration" is officially released to radio and ITUNES, we should see the song jump right to #1.

    gimme a bassline...

  2. Dont know if any of this news has been posted yet..

    Just spoke to my "friend"!

Madonna Had the song leaked herself (Gave the ok this morning)

It will be rushed to radio tomorrow not aug 3

Her camp says the are never sure about the US but expect a smash everywhere else.

Madonna herself like's better/prefers the Benny B mix over the oakenfold.

so then the mix in the video and thats being played in the clubs is indeed by benny??

and if she prefers it soooo much, why the FUCK did she not send it to radio???

    "THERE'S TOOO MUCH CONFUSION!"

  3. WIOQ has C on its request page? Philly? Wow. It played 4M decently enough, but it will be surprising if it plays "Celebrate," as it didn't touch anything from the COADF era. Unless this is nostalgia and MJ's passing opening some's eyes on U.S. radio ageism.

Back in the day, when it was a more dance/rhythmic station, Madonna was a core act.

EDIT: Those Mediabase links don't work. I can't find the request page on q102philly.com- just trying to see if it actually is listed on that station's site. lol

And, as always, no mass e-mail campaigns- radio is very wise to them.

q102's official site doesnt have a request page (if im not mistaken)

just google "WIOQ Mediabase" and you should find their mediabase request link

    http://www.mediabase.com/mmrweb/7/stationp...p?c_let=WIOQ-FM

    link again

  4. Either someone is playing an elaborate joke or the joke is on me... this isn't the album version. This is not what I heard the other day. Maybe this is the radio mix (very bad at that). Something isn't right here. What tipped me off is the ending of the song. It ends @ 3:20. The time listing for the album track is 3:35. Now, I realize some tracks have a couple seconds where it's dead at the end, but 15 seconds??

The whole "put your arms around me" verse and the follow up chorus was slower than this. Also there was an spoken intro (which I suspected would have been edited off on the radio version).

If this is the version they are sending to radio... in the U.S., it will bomb!!

you sure you didnt hear the remix thats being played at the clubs??

cause from your descriptions, thats what it sounds like
