It's a shame John Enos doesn't remember anything from when he was with Madonna. He was such a babe. I love that she was serious with Jimmy Albright, but would see Enos behind Albrights back. That was Japanese commercial footage they found and handed over. Maybe the elephant or the dragon stuff (and probably got flung in a dumpster the next day by Guy's assistant or something...)

i thought her gardener filmed lisbon reinvention tour and she didnt' like it very much....and had problems with the company that did it and they sued her....
Hamish Hamilton was set to direct it, but dropped out after the CBS deal fell through. He later sued for not being compensated for per-production work. Jonas Akerlund later stepped up to the plate to do the Lisbon recording.

There used to be footage on youtube of Niki performing with SNAP! along with Donna in the early 90's. The audience kept screaming, "sing Vogue!" And she would respond with, "I don't sing that song baby!" Damn right you don't. Shame that vid isn't around anymore. Been looking for it for years.

Oh. Well we have this shit in HQ from laserdiscs anyway. So it probably doesn't even matter if they never release it. But I'm sure there are plenty of people who would buy them and it would cost very little to just release that shit like they did WTGT and TGS when DVD's first hit the market.
I mean let's face it, they are NEVER going to find those Paris tapes or do anything that takes effort so just release it for God sake. Then those fans that don't know how/where to get the stuff can just enjoy it in good quality.
I'd be thoroughly disappointed if they put out a shit dvd releases for these, which wouldn't surprise me. They would end up using a single layer DVD with a lower bitrate than the laserdisc with no effort in remastering anything.
I want these releases to be done justice. And I'd like to think that Madonna and co. would too. Thebeatswithin did say that whenever M comes in contact with her previous collaborates, she'w always asking them if they have tapes of her unreleased recordings. I know that has to do with music. But on reddit she did say she was still "looking for the tapes," in regards to the tour releases. So I like to think she's looking for the BAT Paris footage. I believe Alek did say those reels were handed over to Madonna at one point in time....

There's actually leaks of Nice and The Virgin Tour DVD's, supposedly they are not laserdisc rips but the actual versions planned for release on DVD.

I'll be at the Brooklyn show. Someone said they added a few more floor seats for sale about 2 months ago. So I wouldn't be surprised if there's a few more to come in the coming months

Second worst. A View to a Kill (a guilty pleasure of mine) takes the cake.She was brilliant, as was the song, but the film is DIRE, truly the worst Bond film ever.
Just a case of bad timing - I wish she'd done any of the previous Brosnan ones, or the subsequent Craig ones. Pity she had to be associated with the nail in the coffin of the series before the reboot.
I'm not fond of her appearance in the film. It's clear she only did one take and left for the day. It's funny how the critics focused on her appearance alone, not only to drag the movie, but her too. It's her smirking. Way too much.

I've been watching that tour all week long. FABULOUS!!! And Who's That Girl is clearly her 7th greatest song of all time!!!
I just HATE that Who's That Girl was EXCLUDED from the Immaculate Collection. This song does NOT get the RECOGNITION it deserves!
I think WTG is my all time favorite transition period in her career. Love the lite freestyle sound, the lyrics, her Spanish. It's very introspective. Like a prelude for what was to come next.
And I'm sorry, but the music video is LIFE!!!

I initially thought it was gonna be a 2 disc album. But M confirmed in an interview it was gonna be 2 albums out at once. Someone told her she couldn't do that, and that's why we only have 1 disc. If a second leg of the RH tour (like next year in Oz and Asia) were to end the touring portion of her contract, then it kinda makes that she had intended to release two albums to end the contract as a whole.
I think she had planned out to much in the beginning. hoping to get the albums and tours out of the way, so she can work on another film.
Who knows what's next in store for her. But since she's been working non stop it seems like another loooooooooong break is ahead of us :/
